Hi,
I updated to the latest version after my feed stopped working.
I’ve deleted and re-installed but I’m getting this authorization error in the Simply Instagram settings.
{"code": 403, "error_type": "OAuthForbiddenException", "error_message": "You are not a sandbox user of this client"}
Any help appreciated. I’d like to continue using this plugin.
Ben.
]]>I had Simply Instagram installed and working fine. Then midday today, it stopped displaying. I tried reinstalling it, removing my Instagram’s authorization, etc. Now when I try to reauthorize it I get the following error:
{"code": 403, "error_type": "OAuthForbiddenException", "error_message": "You are not a sandbox user of this client"}
Can anyone help? I don’t know where to go from here.
]]>When using the Simple Instagram Widget: My Latest Photo – it gives us the option to adjust the width of the instagram photo. However in the documentation on this plugin it says that instagram’s minimum resolution is 150px, and we have to set the resolution to high. However the widget is missing the core code to enable this option in the widget. Which results in blurry photos.
Doesn’t make sense to me that we can set the width of the photo, and how many instagram photos to show when the results will be blurry for anything over a 150px width. For sure needs some improvement.
Simply Instagram has come a long way since it’s original launch, but its still missing some core functions to be a truly powerful functional plugin.
]]>Hi,
I am trying to replace the title text with an Instagram logo image..

Check out my feed at the bottom when plugin is enabled, my contact link won’t pop up the pop up contact form nor will the photos page let me click the tabs. i didn’t do this until i updated the plugin. any help would be appreciated working on the site re launch.. great plugin though!

Anyone else? Thoughts on a fix? Thanks!
]]>According to this site: https://gist.github.com/chriscct7/d7d077afb01011b1839d Simply Instagram uses PHP4 constructors that have been deprecated in WordPress 4.4. My site gets massive errors in debug mode when I have this plugin activated, so I’ll be deactivating it until a fix is released.
Thanks for a good plugin. I’m sorry it has this error.
]]>Hi,
I have the widget installed in the footer, and when you hover over an image it shows the alt text (instagram caption) over the photo.
I have “Display Photo Captions” set to No but that didn’t fix it.
How can I turn these hover captions off?
Thanks!
]]>I love this plugin! But in order for this plugin to keep on doing the job for me, I need a change.
I’m using it for showing pictures I have liked on Instagram, which works just fine. The thing is, that it only shows 20 pictures.
I would like to be able to use shortcode to show the first 5-10-20 pictures, and then add a “show more” button, which grabs the next 5-10-20 pictures.
Is this a feature which can be expected in a future release? (fingers crossed, hoping)
I’m hosting this site https://www.mittaastrup.dk which uses the plugin on the frontpage. I have another page(“Flere billeder”) on the same site, which uses another way to get the pictures. When refreshing this page it shows a mix of pictures. But I want to have a wordpress embedded plugin.

how can i change from 4 rows to 3?
Hi There,
I’m hoping you can help me with this frustrating issue. I recently got started with WordPress and am working towards building my site with the Genesis Framework+Child Theme. To get the look I’m seeking from the Child Theme, I needed to download and install a series of plugins. One of these was Simply Instagram.
I was able to download and install the plugin just fine. However I keep received prompts indicating that plugin is not setup properly and that I need to authorize the plugin. When I click authorize, I’m directed to login to my instagram account. I enter my IG username & password and click “login”. Yet when I do so, the same login page simply reloads with blank fields for the username & password. I’ve tried everything I can think of. I have logged out of WordPress, logged back in, uninstalled & re-installed the plugin…and I still can’t get past the authorizing my instagram account stage.
Please help! ?? What am I missing?
Thank you!
Danie

]]>2 questions:
1. How do I center the widget in the footer?
2. How do I add the widget to my header?
Despite marking a previous thread as [RESOLVED], this plugin still does not work. I am still getting the red error with the words:
[simply_instagram endpoints=”users” type=”self-feed” size=”thumbnail” presentation=”polaroid” display=”1″ displayoption=”instagram” showphotographer=”true” photocomment=”1″ stat=”true” photocaption=”true” displaycomment=”true”]
See this screen shot.
]]>Client updated this plugin to the latest version and is now complaining that the images are not displaying properly in the widget they have setup.
Images are present, but opacity is set to 0 so all images are hidden. The grid layout is also thrown off, and stacked ontop of one another due to position:absolute on the images. (I’m guessing this is due to masonry?)
Some custom CSS helps to avoid this issue, but client was not happy.

]]>May i please suggest a few changes to make it WCAG 2.0 AA compatible?
in simply-instagram-functions.php
Lines 102, 123, 522, 538, 564, 689, 776, 887 – Change the “title” attribute to “alt”. Images should have ALT, and don’t necessarily need TITLE (but A HREF tags do need TITLE).
There are other IMG tags throughout that are missing the ALT attribute, and A HREF tags missing the TITLE attribute that could use updating as well.
Thank you!
]]>Hi all,
The latest update broke the feed display completely. OI don’t see anything from instagram on the website at the moment.
The WP, Theme and plugin version combined works on another website as it should. I see these errors in the log:

Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot.

]]>Hi!
Isn’t it possible to use HTML-code in the “Short description”-field in widget?
I try to use a a href-link, but it woudn’t let me save it….
Hy everyone there and congrats for the work you daily did!
Anyway, after I’ve installed the last version of WordPress, Simply Instagram stop to work:
Images are not showed on my website (www.calciandosimpara.com, you will find it on Footer)
I’ve tried even wiht the code, but nothing seems to change!
I’d really like to resolve the problem as soon as it is possible.
Thank you so much in advance for your helpfulness,
Daniele (calciandosimpara.com)
I use the Simply Instagram widget in my blog’s sidebar, and recently, it began outputting a permissions warning before listing my photos. The error:
Warning: file_put_contents(/home/public/blog/wp-content/plugins/simply-instagram//cache-api/recentmedia.json): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/public/blog/wp-content/plugins/simply-instagram/simply-instagram-functions.php on line 287
You can see the error on the front page of my site. A screenshot can be found here.
My site is currently hosted at NearlyFreeSpeech, which is notorious for being very particular about file permissions. I update my plugins via a shell command.
Obviously, having a PHP warning like this on my front page is ugly. How do I resolve the issue it’s telling me about–or, failing that, simply hide the warning?
Thank you.
]]>Hi team. My client loves this plugin but when she upgraded to version 1.2.7 all her images on her homepage using [simply_instagram endpoints=”users” type=”recent-media” size=”thumbnail” display=”12″] just disappeared.
After trying disconnecting and reconnecting, etc, I found the only solution was to roll back to 1.2.6, which is not ideal.
Does anybody have any fixes for 1.2.7?
What she had was small faint lines where images once were, after the upgrade.
]]>Hello. I don’t want to use the pretty photo masonry effects. I just want to use the short code to pull in the latest photos and then I will setup the css and effects as I need in my theme. I cannot see an option to turn off the masonry stuff. Is there an option to do this?
]]>Hello,
In order to comply with various accessibility standards, I need this plugin to also set the ALT attribute of the image, not just the title.
Actually, the correct way of doing this is to have ALT instead of TITLE.
So, would you please be kind enough to add some Accessibility option to this great module?
Thank you!

]]>I use this on 2 sites. Same WP base install and same theme setup on both. It USE to work fine on both. Now, on 1 it just stopped working out of the blue. The other is fine. No idea how or why as both use the same latest version of the plugin as well. Anyone else have this issue?

]]>Hi,
Can you please update jquery.prettyPhoto.js to the latest version?
The jQuery prettyPhoto library bundled with many plugins was found to be vulnerable to DOM Cross-Site Scripting (XSS).

I moved the site to https. What I noticed is that the images loaded with simply instagram are still http, which makes the page still contain unsafe content.
How to fix this?
