Just wondering…
Took a look at your plugin and liked the part where you can select categories for which to send digests… allso noticed you can choose for a digest on post or daily…. did see a post here (from like a year ago) in which a weekly digest was suggested. To which you suggested to look into that….
So I was wondering…. will there be a weekly (or even monthly) digest?

I used to like this plug-in, but it has become to unreliable and issues are no longer getting solved.
Having sent my newsletter out with all my subscribers, free for all recipients to see (using TO: and not BCC:), was the final draw.
I cannot recommend Simple Subscribe anymore and I am replacing it.

This plug-in has been out of date for a few months, severely restricting it’s functionality. I note the developer has now done an update and it’s back to it normal efficient self.
So I would like to publicly say thanks.

This plugin has been borked for a couple of months, it hasnt worked properly since 4.2 was released and while the developers are aware it no longer works they have done nothing to fix it, or remove it.

Updates havent fixed all the issues, still no logging visible as well as some other bugs.
Unfortunatley the original developers sold this plugin and the new mob refuse to change the contact details etc for this plug-in.
Beware, this mob also own Subscribe2 plug in.
DO NOT INSTALL!!

I don’t know why someone would create such a perfect plugin and then make it harass subscribers once a day by automatically sending them newsletters.
And it can’t be turned off – at least no where I can find.

Read the reviews for the Ready Graph plugin. This is the same thing, just a different name.

I would not recommend using this plugin.
It didn’t send my first post to my subscribers using the 9am option. It sent my second post using the “when published” option (the plugin does not recommend using this option?!) yet it’s the only one that works for me.
Recently I can’t activate any new subscribers to the site.
I’m like everyone else, afraid to do anything in case I loose current subscribers.
Please fix this plugin!

I noticed this plugin stopped working on the most recent update from wordpress. My entire subscriber list disappeared, the logs were no longer logging, but somehow it was still sending out my blogs.
However, that also stopped recently as well – I’m completely weary of this plugin now.
It was great, I loved the readygraph connection – please update this!!

Still can’t see subscriber list or log messages. Does anybody know–If I deactivate this plug-in and get something else, will I lose my current subscriber list?

The last WordPress update wrecked this plugin…you can’t see your subscribers or do anything else….like activate new ones…They keep saying a fix is in the works but nothing has been done…..use anything else…now they have started a new “feature” called userbase notifications which essentially just spams your subscribers….the real bonus is that they really don’t seem to care that they are hurting the businesses that people are working hard to build…..

This plugin slows down the whole site by approx 2~3 seconds. It also need to increase the PHP memory_limit to 512M

A message is displaying saying that an e-mail was sent to confirm the subscription.
The e-mail never arrives.
At the same time, an SQL error is displaying after click Subscribe button.
Here, is not working.

I love the simplicity of this plug in but it is always screwing up. Sends many multiples of a message sometimes. Also, my paragraphs disappear so that all the sentences are crammed together.
I’ll try to find a later version. It appears I have an old one, but updates haven’t been appearing on my dashboard.

I appreciate the work done by you and liked the plugin too.
Only issue with this plugin slows down the whole site by approx 1.5 seconds. Its a huge number I must say. I request you to look into the matter and resolve this issue.
Otherwise its a great plugin but just due to this issue I am planning to use other plugin for the same as speed matters alot.

Are we able to disable the confirmation e-mail and are we able to redirect them to a new page on submit?
Thanks

It worked out of the box so points for that, but you’re going to have a hell of a time with customization.

Subscribers don’t get email. Log shows only error-message: Unable to send email: .

When I tried to subscribe using the widget I got an SQL error. Worse yet the widget SHOWS THE SQL in the browser so any user can read my table prefix! Not good practice. Promptly uninstalled.

Not sure if there is a problem with settings, but I noticed that the system will not send a subscription confirmation email to our staff member. I’ve tried to trouble shoot and the only speculation that I can see is that the email address is the same as the URL ([email protected] and https://www.sample.com). I’ve tested external email addresses and the system functions correctly. Any thoughts?

Thank you to the devs who made this plugin. It was pretty easy to get started with and I’m very happy with it so far. I tried several other plugins and this one has worked great. The support has been surprisingly helpful when I’ve had questions.

Dear authors,
I really appreciate your efforts with this plugin. It is close to perfecct as it has all the functionality I need. Very simple, useful and beautiful. Cutomization is easy, however, I doubt I will be updating it any time in the future as it took me some time to jump around files to translate what I needed.
Thank you for this project and keep it up!

Settings are clear and the unsubscribe feature in the email is great. You can also retrieve your subscribers which is where you get stuck with others.
Would like a bit more customization of the template but so far this is the best Blog subscription plugin I have tested yet.

This plugin seems to work for what it is supposed to do. However, the ReadyGraph integration screws it up. I’m not sure if the fault is with ReadyGraph or with Simple Subscribe but after I activate and connect the ReadyGraph plugin, a window keeps popping up that LITERALLY says “Opps! We could not loading. Please check your internet connection”. As long as the ReadyGraph connection is there then this ANNOYING ASS popup window keeps showing up. I have to disable it in order for my site to be usable. Please fix this and this will be a great plugin but for now I’ll give it 3 stars.
