Hello! I have used this slider in my web https://www.viendotecrecer.com and when I try to change the options in the admin panel of “Simple Responsive Slider” i get a blank page in my screen when I press the “Settings” or “Crop Images” tabs. That’s why I can not change the plugin’s settings. Please help.
Since a week I get a notification from WordFence about Simple Responsive Slider
“The Plugin “Simple Responsive Slider” appears to be abandoned.”
We really want to keep using the plugin.
The plugin isn’t updated in 2 or more years. Is the plugin still good? Can we keep using it? Of is it better to go look for another similar plugin?
Thanks in advance!

Hi I have SSL encrypted websites and the slider doesn’t show the settings. It is just a blank page. However, it works perfectly in my non SSL sites. Just letting you know that it doesn’t perform with SSL and would love it to! ?? Thanking you!
Please change the responsiveslides.css file in the new update and add
list-style: none;
to the .rslides li
This to remove the DOT from the second (and other) slides.
When updating slide images they occasionally appear black after upload. The image pixels match the slider settings. No cropping or reloading corrects the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Resolved temporarily by restoring a backup.
Cannot update images until resolved.
Thanks

Hi ??
Is it possible to set the max-width on the slideshow to 100%, not in pixels (which defaults to 1000 px)? I’m trying to achieve a full width slider with Simple Responsive Slider. If I set the width with DevtTools to 100%, it works.
Thank you ??
how to add width and height images attributes?
All images are the same size.
I love the simplicity of this plug-in, but I am having an issue with the fade transition. The first couple of slides fade nicely into each other, but after that I lose the fade; it’s just an abrupt transition with a flash of white space in between. Any ideas what is going wrong here? I am using custom CSS, no navigation, so I have the following in my stylesheet:
.rslides {
position: relative;
list-style: none;
overflow: hidden;
width: 100%;
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
}
.rslides li {
-webkit-backface-visibility: hidden;
position: absolute;
display: none;
width: 100%;
left: 0;
top: 0;
}
.rslides li:first-child {
position: relative;
display: block;
float: left;
}
.rslides img {
display: block;
height: auto;
float: left;
width: 100%;
border: 0;
}
.rslides_container {
margin-bottom: 0;
position: relative;
float: left;
width: 100%;
}
Thank you!
How do I load up my own custom CSS? I see the option to get the default as a base, but where do I load it to ensure it pulls?
Also, there is about a 50px gap between the bottom of the slider and the starting content of my home page (using slider in the header). I noticed in the default CSS that you can view in the options it has a bottom margin of 50px, is this causing that? This is why I would need custom to over write it.
Hi. I love this plugin. Simplicity at its best. However I now have a requirement to have more than 1 slideshow. Is this possible to do?
Hello,
I am having trouble choosing where the Simple Responsive Slider is displayed on the site. Right now it is on all pages and I want it only on the Home page, perhaps a couple other pages.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,
I tried to play a bit with the plugin and added an image into it, after i deleted the pics (also from the WP media library) there’s still srs-***.jpg in the uploads/simple-responsive-slider library that i cant delete through the ftp and needed to ask my hosting service to delete it for me.
is there a way that i can change your permissions about these srs files?
Hello, and thanks for a perfect plugin!
I have a small, and strange issue with my slider. All my images/slides is 880×460. But when I add them to the slider, the first slider is correct. When it turns over to slide number two, the image jumps down 24px. Any idea what this is, and how I can fix this so the slider stays in same position?
Hey there, great plugin! Super simple to use and implement, which is just what I’m looking for. One question though… does the slider support videos? As in, can I add a video as one of the slides?
Please let me know. Thanks,
Mitch
I need to make a few changes to the styling for this lovely slider. I saw another request for this info, but no response yet.
Help!
Thank you!!
The slider was easy to set up and is working fine. However, I would like to loop it through just once, and have it stop on the final slide. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.
On the page where I have the slider shortcode, the text links are overlapping the regular text beside them. Many of these links have no css classes or IDs. This happens only in Google Chrome and only about every other time when I load the page. When I remove the slider shortcode from the page, the problem goes away. Any idea what could be causing the interference?
Hello,
Could you please change the following line:
$caption = ‘
’.$curr_image_caption.'
’;
to
$caption = ‘
’.$curr_image_caption.'
’;

will be more flexible – will be possible to add
in the caption without any problems.
Hi. In some hostings, wordpress complains about spaces after the ?> tag in the following files:
simple-responsive-slider-admin.php
classes/options.php
This happens if the hosting has basic error reporting enabled, and the administrator tries to log in.
A quick fix (and a recomendation from PSR-2) is to remove the ?> tag from both files, since they contain pure PHP.
Regards, Donato.
All was well, until I installed this version this morning. Suddenly my theme was broken. All slides were shown below each other. I’ll revert to the previous version for now and try to figure out what went wrong.
I disabled the caption and am not using it.
The latest updates make the caption appear by default.
How do i turn this off? I would rather not dit the CSS for every site i upgrade…. Thank you!
HI,
The latest update has removed the slider from the “editor role” menu.
First the editor could not use the slider “Cheatin uh?” now it has been removed from the editor role menu, can someone fix the slider so that it is available for roles other that admins.
Thanks.
hello everybody,
because of much posts, I checked about the permission for non admin users and I will need make a change in file /classes/options.php
in line 59, where is now add_theme_page will have to change to add_menu_page that way no longer appears as submenu “appearance” but as an individual item on the menu.
That done, we can use:
$role_object = get_role( 'editor' );
$role_object->add_cap( 'manage_options' );
Do you think it harms those who already configured otherwise using the plugin for users non admin?
Thank’s ??
SRS uses target page title when creating alt for image link. But if page title contains tags like
or
alt attribute breaks slider layout. It’s advisable to change simple-responsive-slider.php
by wrapping get_the_title()
on lines 148 and 151 (as of version 0.2.2.2) into strip_tags()
function to prevent the effect of html tags.
Hi,
I’ve installed this slider and everything about it is great except I can’t seem to get the images to be centered in between the nagivation buttons on either side.
The page i’m talking about is : https://www.alishaadhikari.com/dissertation/
Could you please help me with that?
Thanks!

You need to modify only one line plugin. Be careful with the update because your changes will be undone, unless the author of the plugin do by default.
Within the plugin folder, go to the folder “classes” and open the file “options.php”.
– Find the line 38 or in the code: $capability = 'manage_options'
– Modify the entire line to: $capability = 'read'
There, all users can edit the slides.
BONUS:
To create a menu item, which is above the item “Appearance”, insert it in your functions.php:
// Add menu item for slider banner
function add_drafts_admin_menu_item() {
add_menu_page( __('Slider Banner'), __('Slider Banner'), 'read', 'themes.php?page=simple-responsive-slider', '', 'dashicons-images-alt', '59.5' );
}
add_action( 'admin_menu', 'add_drafts_admin_menu_item' );
