Hello,let me start by saying your plugin works when i am on my PC and when i am opening new tabs, its splits the traffic 50% like i put it in the settings but when i am in incognito mode it show me just the master page. On mobile it doesn’t split the traffic at all,it just shows me the master page,both in the normal browser mode and the incognito mode.
Could you help me fix this?

I just bought Simple Page Tester premium, but I’m experiencing a “Fatal Error”

As I understand I should use both shortcodes on the same page, then SPT will think to split according to the % I decided

I bought the premium version.
But the tested pages are deleted when the test is stopped; and test results are also not saved.
This plugin does not suit me, I asked for the refund of my purchase more than a month ago … I had no response.
So i am unhappy

Switch test link always show the first variation. Have tried on two separate WordPress installs. Have also tried with Elementor pages and regular classic editor pages.

We have a website implementing WooCoommerce. The product pages of our theme are custom built and are populated with custom fields created using the ‘Advanced Custom Fields’ plugin. We would like to do an A/B Split test on these product pages. The values of the said custom fields will vary for each version, all other elements e.g. title, description, etc. remain the same. Would this be something that your premium version can support?

I want to test some content I have in a custom Layout from ThemeREX Addons. I believe a “layout” is just another CPT but I’m not sure. The paid version of this plugin is supposed to work on all custom posts. does anyone know if the paid version of this will work on a Layout?

I have a “sales” like WP website and a client area WP installation.

A sales page, leading to the client area, cannot be tracked as far as I can see since it is on different installations.

What a huge fail. This is costing me serious money!

I have disabled this fail now and everything is working fine again. Now I have to hope Google has not de-ranked my pages as well as I re-index them!

This plugin is causing some weird redirect issues.

I created two landing pages to split test these between each other.

1. My theme utilizes a page builder. When using the page builder with this to tweak my landing page – it constantly redirects to the other page. I get that’s what this plugin is suppose to do so not a big deal.

2. This is the big problem. I duplicated one of the landing pages and it kept redirecting me to the page that I duplicated from. I “solved” this by deactivating the plugin.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem the author is very active on here..on to the next one ???

If someone visits my site and is served the “Master” version of a page I am A/B testing, will they be served up the same page every time they return to my site?

Or could they possibly be served up the variation instead?

We seem to be having redirect looping issue when using this plugin on our site. It was quite inconsistent where I can open the site in Chrome and it’s fine, but if I open it in Firefox it breaks but on another machine it will be broken in Chrome but fine in Firefox. Though on duplicating the site to a staging site it is completely broken.

Any help would be appreciated.

One of our clients is using Simple Page Tester for A/B test on their page. The site is behind an Nginx proxy cache with simple TTL caches.

When the plugin is activated, they are getting a “To many redirects” error.

Do you have any nginx conf available?

Is there any other consideration we must take?

Do I send traffic to the URL of the first page and then some users will be served the 2nd option?
I think this would be very valuable to include in your KB and setup guide.

I’ve setup a few split tests now, but on one particular test I’m trying to select an existing page to be my B page but it’s not showing up in the page selector anywhere.

Any ideas why? I’ve tried even re-creating the page with a new name, different URL and it’s still not showing.

Just wondering if this plugin is compatible with Elementor page builder?

It seems that I can not split test a page that is translated with WPML. When I want to test a page on a .nl extension and a page on a .be extension the plugin can not find the page that I created when I want to select an existing page. Can you please give me some information on this?

In your plugin description you state:

If you’re running a caching plugin, you have no need to worry with Simple Page Tester as it has been built to run side-by-side with caching solutions.

I tried W3 Total Cache and Comet Cache, but redirects don’t work in either. A post two years ago mentioned WP Fastest Cache didn’t redirect either without excluding the control and variations from being cached.

Is there a list of known caching plugins that you know are compatible and capable of performing the split test redirects on cached pages without excluding the A/B test pages from being cached? Your knowledge base says it needs to hook into “template_redirect” so what would you recommend that supports this?

I intend to get the premium version of the plugin, but would like to get this detail sorted out first.

Hi,

I’ve installed the plugin with no errors. When I try and setup a split test, clicking on any of the three variations does not do anything. The window stays open and no other apparent activity.

The page is published and is not a special type. I’m using the Oshine theme and I have woocommerce installed but not active.

Setup details are:
Server Info: Apache
MySQL Version: 5.6.34-log
PHP Version: 7.0.29
WP Version: 4.9.5
WooCommerce: 3.3.5
Simple Page Tester: 1.4.4

I purchased the premium version. But whenever I try to add any shortcode to my thank you page, it produces the following error.

This is also true for trying to create any shortcode based tests. So at the moment I am unable to use shortcodes on thank you pages, nor can I test headline variations using the shortcode methods.

After disabling all plugins it worked, and through turning them back on one at a time I have determined that this is caused by a conflict with Yoast SEO.

Yoast SEO is a must have plugin for me and most clients. Please advise how we can resolve this conflict…

Is it Possible to create split testing only for Mobile?

I have one way to achieve this, for testing I just cloned the same page and made changes to that variation page required for testing, But this is not adviced way because in the result. It will show the detail for both Desktop and mobile test.

Is there any way to assign split test only for mobile devices?

I’ve installed the free version of the plugin (willing to buy premium), but no matter what I do, there’s no AB Testing – the master page doesn’t redirect.

1. I’ve deactivated all caching plugins
2. I’ve deactivated all caching on the server side
3. I’ve installed WP session manager

No success….could you help me out?

I am currently using this plugin for a simple A/B test on several pages, and really love it!

I would like to find out if there’s a possibility of setting up multiple variations for split page testing? We’ll be ramping up traffic to accommodate to the testing of 10 different landing pages. Please do let me know if we can do this (in premium).
