With WordPress 6.1.1, I get error which lead to 500 upon normal GET requests.

PHP Fatal error: ?Uncaught ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function WP_Widget::__construct()

Removing the plugin folder resolved the problem.

My little group is probably going to fork this in order to create skinning, UX, and functionality that resembles that of Twitter. “Simple microblogging” has already solved several problems we were going to solve, so why reinvent the wheel? Differences will include:

• a blog admin might go to the micropost page and see a form at the top of the page, with an interface very similar to that of Twitter (even including image and video upload). Below the form would be the old pages.
• readers would go to the same page and see nothing but the user’s micropost history
• pagination and other UX improvements
• eventually we’ll include, either on the same page or a second page, a microblog post reader, for microblogs you subscribe to
• we will add support for ActivityPub and other hooks as soon as possible
• sooner or later (possibly very soon) we’ll include an appropriate RSS extension so that RSS readers can be used as decentralized social media readers

Is there an option for paging the microposts?

Firstly, thanks for your works.

And as the topic title depicted I can get shortcode & shortcode option to works in post or page, but when I place the same shortcode in footer widget, it does not work, how’s that so? To be precise, the short code option for date format and excerpt working in post or page, but not working in footer widget.

It took me a lot of trial and error to get show_date to work. Please include in your instructions that it’s show_date=”y” not just show_date. Better yet, include an example. (Examples for all the options would be good.)

Currently micro posts carry the image of standard blog posts (articles). It would be a nice feature if one could select a different posts format for micro posts, e.g. status update or short message.

Really like this plug-in. It’s simple to use and works just fine.
I was only wondering if it would be possible to add tags to the microposts? I would like to use the shortcode for showing microposts on a page, but only those that I tagged.
Any chance for this?
