Hi,
According to “Step 2 (Go to Settings Interface)” in the documentation. There should be a Mailchimp tab in the simple membership plugin space to add the API key.
However, it is not showing up for me.
Please advise.
]]>Hi there!
The plugin could be integrated with Elementor?
I just added the wonderful Mailchimp addon for Simple WP Membership. Is there a way that I can get all of the people who are already members into Mailchimp?
Thanks!
Hi all,
I use MailChimp for a closed group membership and I want to have a webpage with the group members listed – which will hopefully extract the list of names and other fields from a MailChimp Audience.
Is there code somewhere already available to achieve this ?
]]>Trying to test how this plugin works. I can confirm the new members are added to the Mailchimp list, but what triggers the removal?
In the plugin setting I have this “checked”:
Remove Email From List When Subscription Payment is Cancelled
I have tried the following:
Expiring a member.
Deleting the member/customer and associated subscription from Stripe.
Deleting the the payment history of the member.
Deleting the member completely from the website.
None of these options remove the user from MailChimp, so what is the trigger of the removal?

I would like to make a PayPal Variable Price Button that lets customers set the amount they will pay.

]]>Hi,
Help needed with Mailchimp…I have tried to get a new member to show up correctly in Mailchimp under a specific sub-group of a group in an audience but no matter how I put in the text for this in the appropriate field on the membership level…the new member is not added to Mailchimp.
The only way that works is with the audience name on its own.
The formats I have used are below:
Name of Audience (this works perfectly)
Name of Audience | Name of Group (this doesn’t work)
Name of Audience | Group Name, Sub Group Name (this doesn’t work)
Any help with getting this to connect and show up in Mailchimp will be appreciated.
Thank you!
Michele
I successfully connect SWPM with Mailchimp services via the addon integration. Two issues I discovered so far in my testing.
1) Any existing members at the level set for Mailchimp audience do not populate the audience list. Only new members will populate the list. How can I push existing members to Mailchimp’s list?
2) Our membership levels are not by subscription. They have fixed expiry dates. When a member’s membership expired, the member is not removed from the Audience. Can this be synchronized automatically? i.e. when a member expired in SWPM, the member’s name is then automatically removed from Mailchimp audience.
Thanks
]]>My new members are not getting into the right place in Mailchimp.
I have followed the documentation rigorously. The documentation still talks about MailChimp Lists. As you probably know, Mailchimp no longer uses those terms. It is now arranged by Audiences, Tags, Groups & Segments. Does your code work equally using those terms?
Your current Documentation (updated 29 may on mbrsolution.com):
Using MailChimp Interest Groups
You can specify interest groups when a member is added to your MailChimp list.
Add the interest group names in the list name field like the following:
List Name | groupname1, groupname2 Lets say you have the following scenario:
List Name: my-list-1 Interest Group Names: groupname1, groupname2
Then you would enter the following in the MailChimp list name field of the membership level: my-list-1 | groupname1, groupname2
For Listname I am assuming that this is the same as Audiencename. If not then that’s why it fails!
The Groups in Mailchimp are listed as “group category” then subordinate “groupname” The group category is “Members” and the group name is “Current”.
So I have entered: audience | Members Current New members are being dumped ungrouped into the Mailchimp pot.
So I suspect there’s something either in the List-Audience naming, or the taxonomy of the Groupnames which isn’t matched between SWPM and Mailchimp.
Grateful if you could advise whether this is the correct way to enter in the Member using audience, group category, groupname and perhaps in time update your documentation (and the field name on the Membership Level edit page) to reflect what has been the Mailchimp new taxonomy for some time now.
Thanks
John

Hello,
I am interested in the Form Builder because I need to implement custom fields. I have read the Member Directory addon documentation and could not find the answer I am looking for.
1) Can the Directory addon hide or show the custom fields created by the Form Builder? 2) Can the custom fields be read only in the directory? Now that I think of it, a listing by nature is read only.
Just want to confirm as it is little confusing and not specific on what to put in the List name field.
So my list name is My Subscribers
Do we enter just like that or with dashes or something? (My-Subscribers)
Thanks.
]]>Hi there,
I’ve been testing out Paypal recurring payments with this plugin, everything works just fine accept when I cancel a recurring payment on Paypal, it doesn’t cancel the membership of the user in Simple Memberships.
The Membership Level is set to No Expiry as advised in https://simple-membership-plugin.com/what-happens-when-paypal-subscription-cancelled/
Paypal IPN has been enabled and configured to UTF-8 Format as suggested here https://simple-membership-plugin.com/create-paypal-subscription-button-inside-the-simple-membership-plugin/
But when I cancel the subscription using my merchant account on Paypal, I get the following error:

And yes, I’ve checked that I do have an active user with the subscription ID I-2CAHAJWW796S
Hope you can resolve this!

]]>When an upgrading customer hits the button of [swpm_update_level_to_level=”xxx” button_text=”xxx”], Mailchip integration work?
I created several membership levels like free, silver and gold, and set an upgrading button like below.
[swpm_update_level_to level=”6″ button_text=”upgrading to silver”]
I wanted to send a welcome mail from Mailchimp for the upgrading customers, and introduced “Plugin: Simple Membership MailChimp Integration”.
The integration works well for the initial free membership, but not for upgrading. The membership level is upgraded on Simple Membership plug-in, but not Mailchimp.
I tried to set up different mailchimp lists for membership levels. It did not work. I also tried to create groups in Mailchimp and set the list names and group names accordingly in the plug-in, it did not work.
]]>I have members who opt into (and out of) interest groups after signing up. Can this be handled?
]]>Hi there
I love the idea of Mailchimp Integration and super-excited to save several hours having to do this manually, but it’s not working and I wonder if you could help.
This is what I did:
1. Downloaded the plugin and activated it
2. Opened mailchimp and copied the list name (to prevent error) (Ummm…does this need to be in quotes?)
3. Put the list into the membership level as requested
4. Put in the API number linking to Mailchimp.
Have I missed something. Please help.

]]>Two feature requests that would make this plugin even greater ??
1) Support for groups in lists, so that e.g. all members would be added to the same member list, but different levels could be added to different group(s) for better mail targeting
2) Dropdown in the membership level settings for choosing the connected MailChimp list instead of error-prone text input
I realise this helps subscribe users to existing MailChimp lists. Does it enable me to use those lists from wordpress, eg send new blog entries to a given list – or must i go into mailchimp and create a campaign etc etc.
]]>Using the Formbuilder plugin, I have extended the default form.
This correctly collects extra data such as postal address and phone number, which is placed into the member profile correctly.
It also sends the extended data to admin by email when new member completes registration.
However, the Mailchimp plugin only appears to be delivering first name, last name and email address information to Mailchimp list.
Is this correct or should it also deliver the extended data set.
Hi!
I’ve used this plugin on a clients’ site, and it has worked well before. But since some time the integration doesn’t work anymore. Registered members are not registered on the Mailchimp list.
I’ve doublechecked all settings and everything seems to be right. WordPress and plugins are all updated to the latest version.
The site is manupinternational.com
I would be very happy if you had any advice for me.
Thanks,
Emma
When I go to import contacts from MailChimp and choose Intergrated Service, I am unable to find Simple Membership Integrated MailChimp in the Intergrated List within MailChimp. Is it named differently?

]]>Hi there,
Just installed and tested the plugin in all ways we could think of, but when adding a new member, the member is not added to the mailchimp list created for this. Everything we have done is correct. Nothing happens. What we do see in Mailchimp is an indiction that something is not being communicated correctly through a call.
Please advice, as automatically adding members this way would save us a lot of time!
Thanks in advance!
