Hi,
Thanks for a nice simple iCal calendar plugin, it’s almost exactly what I need. I say almost because my calendar feed uses categories so we can split our concerts and rehearsals.
I really need to be able to show “Upcoming Concerts” and also “Upcoming Rehearsals” in two different blocks.
Is there any way you would consider adding support for categories in your plugin please?

Goededag,
(I lived in Delft for one year in 2010, but I probably can’t keep the Dutch going on this.) I love your WordPress plug in, but for some events, a comma gets pulled in as a backslash followed by a comma. I don’t know if this is something that is a problem with the source calendar, but even when I try to delete nearby characters to the comma and manually re-type, I seem to see this issue.
In any case, dankuwel voor deze fantastic plugin!

Removed some spacing at top of block due to title being blank.
/*additional CSS for Simple-ical-Block-1 */ Simple-ical-Block-1 .block-title {
display: none;
}
Added scroll bar after limiting block size + text display size
Simple-ical-Block-1 {
font-size: 16px;
overflow: auto;
height: 300px;
}
Added date/day color bright green + text display size
Simple-ical-Block-1 .ical-date {
font-size: 18px; color: #ff0000;
color: #00ff00;

Hello!
Is there a way to maintain (turn on/off) the hyperlink for the google location pin/address as it is shown in google calendar? It would be a handy features and make the location field more usefull.
Another possibility is to convert the pin to an address but this might be harder.

This is not a bug, it is about understanding what happens.
The “Number of days after today” is the number of 24-hour periods after the current time. It is a window that moves as the day progresses.
So, if today is Monday at 9am and you have a 3-day window, then events that start before 9am on Thursday will be shown, but an event that starts at 1pm will not.
As the day progresses, any of today’s events that are completed before the current time will drop off the top of the list, and events that fall within the window will appear at the bottom.
It wasn’t what I was expecting – I thought “Thursday” would include all events for Thursday.

2. Create a Simple-google-ical-widget list of events in a WordPress site using the “Secret Address in ical format” link. The first event in the series should show on the list.
3. On the calendar, delete the first event, refresh the Widget cache.
4. The first event is still shown. You have to delete the complete series, then re-create it starting a week later.
5. This doesn’t happen for the second event in the series.

I’d like to set different colours and text size for each of:
the dates, the summary, and the details
How do I do this? I’ve sorted out the date settings, but can’t work out how to set colours, etc

on my frontpage I have the widget installed on the right side and I get the following result. Used to work before some update. Currently widget is removed.
Hello and thanks for the very elegant plugin!
I have only one problem: The block settings are switching back to old layout when selecting the block at the backend editor, although it was set to hierarchical layout before. So very often it is that you change the settings without knowing and breaking all the nice layout set for hierachical view in css.
Kind regards
Matthias
I am trying to use this plugin within Elementor. And it seems to work fine, the outlook .ics file is loaded properly and events are visible on the website. However, he only makes a marker with the date (day and month) for the first event of the day, if a second event takes place on the same day, it will only get a marker but no date.
This is fine in itself, but I can’t make a separate CSS style of the date with a list of events on that day below. Each event is a separate list-group-item, the first with date and the rest without. So all items are at the same level.
Can this be solved?
Another option is to go for the (Start with summary.: “true”), where according to the screenshot each event gets a date. But I just don’t see this option anywhere in the block settings. Does this have to do with the Elementor combination, or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you very much.
I use this plugin for a widget with events from a Google Calendar, everything works perfectly except for that all event titles contain a hyperlink to nowhere like:
/#simple_ical_widget-16_7occqbf9ei3bg6f3vvrtmopphv

Is there a way to turn this off?
Thanks for the simple plugin! I am trying to reduce the number of events displayed and changing the value doesn’t make any changes. I have cleared cache using litespeed but still displays the same number of events as originally installed.
Since we switched to DST in Germany last month, the calendar is one hour in the past and showing 17:00 instead of 18:00.
Timezone is set correct (checked by adding P to the Time format start time line).
Time in calendar is set correct as well.
Is there any option to define an offset somwehow?
Thanks in advance,

Can’t show the plugin anymore.
From one day to another, the page craches with: “Er heeft zich een kritieke fout voorgedaan…”
Just disabling the plugin recovers the page.

It may be because the event is a holiday and has no end date?
Too bad I react so late, but I think you are right. I’m going to adjust the plugin so that if the end date is missing, the start date is copied over it.
I think you are already using another pluging, but thanks anyway for your comment.
When I install the plugin, place the widget in the sidebar and assign an iCalendar link, the result is that there is nothing at all after display of “Events” title. Here is the page source:

<section id=”simple_ical_widget-3″ class=”widget Simple_iCal_Widget”>
Events

There is no HTML at all after close of

I am assuming this is a typo in the plugin.
