seeing i cannot access any of your links, i wil ask my one critical ‘use case’ question here.

my primary use case is simply for users to view documents in a organised attractive organised way in various specific folders on my site, or possibly, several folders.

but on my reading of what i can find it seems that is not really what your app does (despite ist name). it seems more about uploads.

please advise (and just possibly fix or tell e what issue is with all this link blocking. incl possibly purchasing the Pro version)

I’ve encountered a small issue that I’m hoping you can assist me with. I have set the maximum upload size to 1GB in my hosting environment, and this works perfectly on the WordPress upload side. However, within the Simple File List upload settings page, I am only able to set the maximum upload size to 1MB. Is there a specific setting or function that I can adjust to rectify this?

We are moving a site to a new provider, and it has been close to a year since I have had to access your site (much success). I have sent 2 emails via the support link on your site, came here to ping you as well.

It seems browsers have a setting to offer users option to either download PDF or open in new window. So even though the button says download it doesn’t do it. I’ve seen other sites make the download pdf work though. Can you modify the code to have it work this way?

We are looking for a plugin with many of the features offered by Simple File List. If we decide to use this plugin, we will purchase the Pro version. Prior to purchasing Pro, we installed the free version on our test site. As you can see at https://carolinatech.us/1/simple-file-list-test/, the “Date” fields are blank. I have reset the options in setup and still get the same results. I read the available information on the Pro version and do not see any mention of the “Date” functionality, in case it only comes in the Pro version.

How can I get the file creation or post date to work?

I can’t get the thumbnail generation to work. I’m using Kinsta as my host, I have ImageMagick, Node, and Ghostscript installed, but it keeps giving me “→ GhostScript is Not Installed. PDF thumbnails cannot be created.”

I tried it on two servers. the first server, I didn’t have Node and Ghostscript installed before I installed the plugin, and it gives that message as well as the PDF Thumbnails and Video Thumbnail checkboxes are empty and grayed out.

My second server, the checkboxes are checked – but still sort of grayed out – and it still has the message “→ GhostScript is Not Installed. PDF thumbnails cannot be created.”

I plan on buying the premium version of the plugin asap, so I’d appreciate if you can help me figure this out.

We have purchased the plugin and one of the add-ons, which we downloaded and installed successfully, but we never received a confirmation email nor did we receive any email to create an account in order to download the receipt/invoice. We tried resetting the password but again we didn’t receive any reset password email. I’ve contacted you through your form on your site, but once again, no reply from your end. I thought maybe our corporate email was having issues, so I recontacted you using my personal email, but third time was not a charm, still no reply from your side. So this is my last resort… Can you please check your systems and reply to us?

I have a problem with simple file list plugin. When I go to one folder then on top of plugin appears new buttons/links (to go back): Home and then name of folders… So when I click on Home button it is not working it just show blank page. Any idea what is wrong?

just a quick question: I need to provide the users of my companies information portal a fast way to upload attachments and create links to them in the posts they created. Currently you need to create 1 file block for every attachment and that will be a hassle for most users.

Can this plugin provide a user a simple way to upload and link files as a list in their posts? If not, can someone point me in the right direction?

I have a custom Geneaology index containing a ton of PDFs which we currently have on a website that I’m converting to WordPress.

I was hopeful that this plugin had the ability to add custom fields to the file, allowing me to grab the data from the old tables and insert into the WP tables for this product. I understand the stance on this issue, however I wanted to +1 since you said you didn’t see people looking for this feature.

I’m actually curious if the developer asking the question ended up extending the functionality, because it would save me the trouble ??

I am testing the plugin on a local installation, because it would solve my problem to publish many files of technical documentation and tutorial.

I’m testing eesfl on Laragon WAMP for Win11 (Apache httpd-2.4.54-win64-VS16 listening to port 80, and Mysql-8.0.30-Winx64, listening to port 3306), and running an up-to-date WP611 and PHP 8.1.10-VS16-x64

With shortcode [eesfl] I get this message on top of page:

eeSFL is not conflicting with other plugins (all disabled), theme is generate-press with some mods in css-customizer (the heaviest: cutting away page header).

Hello, I have a problem with the plugin on one of my pages.
The error in the backend is “Directory negative data: /wp-content/uploads/simple-file-list/”.

Maybe there is an error in the root-path? I see two // in the path to the simple-file-list Folder in the settings tab (can’t edit it, because I don’t have the pro-version).
Link in the settings: /hp/…/www//wp-content/….

Hi, Something has happened with the Simple File List plugin. I last uploaded in November without issue. Today, I select a .PDF file to upload, press the UPLOAD button and nothing happens. Am I missing something? Some setting from an update? My plugin is Version 6.0.3. Thanks. – Mike

After installing the latest version of the plugin, the file upload section is displayed, although this is disabled in the settings.

But now I wanted to offload my files to GSC Bucket to save hosting charges, Can you help me about this ?

I’m using the Pro Version but lost my Mail Account and the Password, so i cant open a ticket on the SFL Website.
There are two problems with your Plugin on my Website.
1.
If i want to open a folder of uploaded files, the Browser shows this:
no cache-191
no cache-206
no cache-207
no cache-208

If i delete the extension “&ee=1&eeListID=1” from the url i can access the files in the folder.

2.
If i want to delete a file a browser warning (“Are you sure you want to delete this?”) appears. If i click “Yes” nothing happens and the file isn’t deleted.

I’d be happy about a feedback.

We have settings for DOWNLOAD of files, but when user clicks on Download user sees same presentation as when they click OPEN. NO DOWNload occurs to user device.

Hi, I purchased the Pro version and uploaded my folders via FTP. But now I cannot access the plugin page in my admin panel. Even the few pages where I uploaded the files cannot be accessed.
