I was working on a client site and I can someone had installed code embed previously but somehow it got forgetten about. Its putting in code even when deactivated.
But I have no way of adding code nevermind removing old code. There is no useful information, even the FAQ didn’t help. Theres no way to see what code has been added or where. Except from a code search but you still need to type in something – without knowing the suffix its pointless.
I couldn’t even add new code to see how it works. Absolutely no option, no custom fields nothing. Its nothing but clutter.

Although page says “see FAQ” there is NO FAQ. Wasted a lot of time trying to get this to work.
Someone raised this a year ago and no change has been made. Clearly no support or interest in helping users.
Useless.

It’s great to have a plugin to display code on your website integrated with the block editor.
I’ve struggled to find one that is so stable but Code Embed has everything I need.
Highly recommended!

It displays the URL inside my post instead of the page.
I can’t figure it out.

Maybe I’m not the most intelligent but examples of how to use it would be great. How do I add a new code? I couldn’t figure it out.
Any ways, I need to add JavaScript to a page and this plkugin was recommended. Since I am on a time crunch, I’ll have to look at another solution

Just stumbled on this one after trying to bigger known ones but these didn’t gave me what I wanted.
This plugin is exactly what I was looking for, easy to inject JS for posts separately, pages too ??

Perfect.

I don’t think it’s compatible with the Theme or version of WordPress I’m using. A shame really, seems like a good plugin.

…tried in all possible ways to have the Custom Field show in the Screen Options, I even installed the ACF plugin as instructed elsewhere and all tries were a huge no go.
Quite regrettably the instructions on the plugin’s page are incomplete at best when it comes on how to fix that and make the metabox show in the screen options and like other have pointed out there’s no FAQ section… one needs to go dig info into the support forum or across the web which is very old school and while I potentially don’t mind having to do that, no research helped have a working setup.
Sad that’s the current state of things on this plugin because it would have been very helpful to help fill in the shortcomings and limitation of a WP that becomes more restrictive and less useful with each release as I personally dislike Gutenberg and the unintuitive cumbersome, non WYSIWYG interface has mede things worse… but that’s another story.

After completing my WordPress site, I realized that my iFrames weren’t showing up in our wonderful mainstream browsers. Code Embed was intimidating at first, but the author’s tutorial and diligent replies to questions helped me get my website more secure and compliant. You WILL get frustrated, just take the time and RTM.

The description helpfully tells you to read the FAQ for information on using it with WP 5 and above… something about 100% of all of us are doing… but there is no FAQ. Anywhere. So basically, there’s no way to use it unless you’re on a hopelessly outdated version of Word Press.

Worked great. Only issue I had was not realizing how simple it was. ??

I recently started using this to add <video> elements to post content because the standard WordPress [video] shortcode doesn’t include some of the meta attributes of the <video> HTML element (like mute
and playsinline
, both of which help autoplay videos work). I assume this would be great for any weird HTML things you want to insert that might get messed up by the WordPress formatting. I like this plugin better than some similar ones because it lets you edit the code within the post rather than having to go to a separate plugin page.

I use this plugin to embed Shopify products as posts on a client’s WordPress site. They have a WooCommerce shop but for some products they wanted to keep a Shopify storefront as well. This embed plugin allows me to show the Shopify products using Shopify’s Buy Button sales channel generated embed code. Customers can view and purchase without leaving the WordPress site and it looks like the Woo shop so it is well integrated. It’s the only thing that worked! It’s a great bit of code that works well.

This worked very easily and quickly. Gravity Forms Support was ZERO help at Developer level, told me to hire a developer for this. but this did the trick. here is a good walkthru. elftronix.com/free-easy-plugin-add-javascript-to-wordpress-posts-pages/

Coding is not my forte for sure and WordPress confused me further with the subtle but damning changes to code I pasted in the html view and looking at the visual tab. That said, WordPress is so much better than what I used to have to do in straight html, especially the way it centralizes things, extended now through the insight and capability delivered by this plugin.
I had a particular code need in mind. Code embed will allow me to not only simplify the code inserts, solve the code change issue above, but will allow some centralizing of the code. The insight of that capability will save me a lot of grief in and of itself.
Got a couple of little java script examples from here:
https://www.mageewp.com/how-to-hide-and-show-image-in-your-wordpress-by-jquery.html
I needed to created the folder and changed the image name/path in the text to match the images I had uploaded to that new folder.
Had to remember to select the Custom Fields box on the Screen Options window to see it at the bottom of the page I was creating for it to add the Code / Value.
Just used the default of CODE for the plugin and made a CODE1 and put the code block in the html tab of a page and the actual script as the value of the CODE1 and viola – it worked.
Great stuff. Thanks to the author of the plugin and the reviewers for taking the time to highlight it for me.
