But how do you pull up a page that shows all of the categories that you can click on and see those relevant listings?

For some reason on the page for each listing the info has duplicated.
I have just updated to the pro version, but this also happens with brand new listings.

Wanting to make a very basic directory website. Looking to have the category page look like the following:

I am versed in PHP and HTML and have modified template files before. However, is there any capabilities for me to be able to modify the template files without them being overwritten by future updates?
Your directory plugin looks to be the closest one based on those I’ve researched that resembles the listing page somewhat close – but I am not looking for Google Maps or clickable links – just nothing but a quick listing of businesses along with their address and phone/fax numbers.
More than willing to buy the Pro version too – but I watched the video walk through and it doesn’t seem to really offer layout changes like this.

]]>When I activate simple directory, it changes the font of my top level navigation menu. The fonts become bold and offset. I use Avada theme.

After updating to latest version got the following:

Renamed the plugin via FTP as I couldn’t login otherwise.
Now do I delete original plugin install and re-install and hope the problem disappears?
Is this just me or has anyone else experienced this?

Just updated a live site to the lastest version. Search works but the results heading that shows number of listings found shows (0) when there are plenty pf results displayed.
The results heading is also all in lower case – how to capitalise the first letter i.e. London(x) instead of london(x)
Also – how to reduce the font size of the new style listings as they are huge and only allow 5 listings on one page now?

Hi, I purchased the pro version thinking it would have better compatibility with my theme than the demo but it doesn’t.
I love the simplicity of this plugin however there is conflict with my theme. I’m on genesis with a child theme.
– The font has changed and increased in size
– My menu disappears from single posts and has increased in size
I tired changing to bootstrap but then there was no functionality in the single post
How can I override the font & size changes?
How can I make the single post sit within the page without removing my menu?
Also I want to remove BUSINESS DETAILS from under the single post (it’s not in the demo)
I really want this plugin to be able to work with my current theme

]]>I have built many WPBD sites.
I installed Simple Directory(SD) for a points of interest page.
I did not see where I could see my listing. Some sort of page selection for SD to put the added listings I created. It created dir /listing. But that is not a page?
thru the menu I was able to find and view the one listing.
So how would you see all the listings(multiple)?
And the plugin changed the font size on all other pages. Upsetting the layout.
I am going to deactivate the plugin for now. And see if my old fonts return.
I would like to use SD, but the page to purchase was a bad link. And I am not sure I can control the css separately.
If we can make this work I am interested in an unlimited license as I have 51 sites to use the acceptable Listing Directory. So price may squirrel the deal anyway.

Now I have within the categories the problem that here, instead of being sorted by the date, the contributions to ABC.
So far I have not found where I can change this.
I use your extension for listings this sorted logically by ABC (it is an Business Directory for local businesses ), perhaps your extension has a setting overwritten? Because: If I disable it, the normal WP-Categories are sorted by Date how i would like it.
So: Where I can change the Settings to have sorting by ABC at my Businessdirectory, and at the normal Categories by Date?

Is there the option of having a front end user profile page? The idea would be to link user to each listing that they create and then have a link on each listing to their profile page and have a list of all their listings on the user profile page.
Please advise.
Is there a way to control the default number of listings on the archive-listing.php page? It appears to default to 10, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to increase it or to disable pagination?

I have Simple Directory Pro. I am trying to set up a category listings page which when one of the categories is clicked will link to a listings page that will display in 4 columns instead of one big long column – how can I achieve this?
