Think this plugin may be what I’m looking for.
Does it stop WP notifying Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc if I’ve got those services switched on under WP’s ‘publicize’?

I’m glad I kept reading about the this plugin to give it a try.
I almost didn’t because the latest recent update says the last update was 2013-1-4 almost 2 years ago!
You changelog however reads earlier this year is the latest update.
