Recently, I installed the plugin and I was very happy with its functionalities. I was wondering if there is a way for me to display a simple “There are no more posts of these kind” text when there are currently no more posts from a certain category that I am showing.
]]>I’d like to use this plugin to display post w/a specified range of dates. I understand how to do a WP date query, but I don’t quite understand how to do so in the wp query form presented by the plugin, or if it’s even possible to do that.

]]>I am using Weaver Show Posts on a protected page so only those logged in are able to see the posts. However, I have just discovered that each single post can still be viewed using a simple link directly to the individual post. I realise this is not the fault of your great plugin but do you know of a way to prevent this – but only for certain post categories?

After updating to 5.3 I’m suddenly seeing lots of PHP warnings like this:

comet-cache/src/includes/traits/Shared/HttpUtils.php on line 175"After deactivating all plugins except Comet Cache the problem is gone – sequentially reactivating identified 9 (!) Plugins which cause this, on just one WP site. Show Posts (a great plugin, I use it on quite a few sites) was also a “culprit”. I checked it – ALL the PHP files have trailing white space after the ?>. I removed them and uploaded manually – the problem is solved (at least, for “Show Posts”).
@bruce: I know this is an “older” plugin and for sure it’s not making you rich – but it is a great plugin, and I and many others are relying on it. It’s still working fine in WP 5.3 – so could you please delete all the ?>, bump up compat to 5.3 and publish the new version? Would be very much obliged!

Create new weaver slider post, then add media, choose create gallery, add images with different sizes, save it. Create slider in weaver posts and slider options. Choose created previously gallery from dropdown list in quick option. Set sliding thumbnails, check Hide the border shadow around Slider, check Don’t autostart animation. Save it. Add created slider to the site or post clicking on Add [show slider], choose created slider. Save/update site/post.
View it and explain me something, why margin between thumbnails and image depends on highest image?
Why in case creating weaver slider posts single, adding image ony by one, selecting previously created categories and filters in each weaver slider posts, adding to each of posts featured image and then creating slider with the proper filter created previously gives different view? I mean images are automatically scaling and thumbnails display always correctly.
Did your function works with featured images and resize them somehow? I mean dynamically scales it? Why you didn’t think about adding wordpress image gallery instead of adding single images using single weaver slider posts? It is much quicker, but this margin look really odd and ugly. Any ideas how to autoscale in this case images?

If possible, it would be handy if there could be a feature to add “before” and “after” text/html to the post display output. This could be used in countless ways to help format and style the output.
I know that it is possible to style the output with CSS. But, you can’t style what is not there.
For instance:
If I was able to enclose the post “title only” output in html heading tags (h1, h2, etc), that would be great.
Or, if I could enclose the “full” or “excerpt” output in div tags with a unique ID, I could do all sorts of stuff to style the layout.

]]>I have a Weaver Slider Post that contains just a URL to a YouTube video.
The post is in a Group.
The Group is Filtered, with “Native Theme Support” set.
The Filter is used for a Slider, with “Slider contains Video” set.
Using v1.3 of Weaver Show Posts, the video gets embedded.
Using v1.3.1, it does not : just the plain URL gets shown.
[ NB I have also just tried v1.3.1.1 : no change from v1.3.1, in fact it appears that v1.3.1.1 is exactly the same as v.1.3.1 bar the version number? ]
v1.3.1 introduced modification of the ‘the_content’ filters (in includes/atw-showposts-sc.php), which knocks out all the ‘the_content’ filters bar capital_P_dangit and do_shortcode before loading my content.php template part. As a result, my the_content() call only runs do_shortcode filters! Hence no embedded video (among other things).
PS. I have tried turning Native Theme Support off – to use your template – but that appears to have the same problem.

]]>When I set Layout for the sidebars to display on the right they are pushed down the page to below the end of the page or post content. When I set the Layout to display sidebars on the left they show up where they’re supposed to be.
I also noticed the problem on posts where I’m using Weaver Show Posts and have checked ‘Hide Sidebars on Single Post Page’. At first I thought it might be a conflict with Easy Columns which I use above the Show Posts area, but deactivating that plugin didn’t help. Then I thought it might be a conflict with Weaver Show Posts and when I deactivated Show Posts the Hide Sidebars did work properly.
Finally I changed the Layout setting to display sidebars on the left and now everything seems to work fine, even the ‘Hide Sidebars on Single Post Page’. If I change the default or individual page setting back to right sidebar the problem reappears.

Plugin is great but having to download 2 pluggins to get slider to work makes it heavy.(the weight of 2 plugins) Could the css code be slowing it down further?
I am using this plugin for excerpts of my posts, and now am trying to avoid duplicate content. I did some research and came down to adding a few words to my existing short code, it did not mess up the plugin, everything looks fine. In your opinion is it accomplishing what I hope to achieve. You can see how I added the no_index no_follow to the short code. What else could I do if this is not right?
