i bought the paid verion of the plugin cause it said i would be able to upload multiple files, now im trying but i cant, i need to display 3 download links per item, ive tried using custom fields and it just displays text, i need to dispay link instead, is this possible or do i need to get a refund? i have ACF pro too but also cant find a way to display the acf.. i also sent a support question on the dashboard and have had no responce in 2 days

My question is about the presentation of the file list on a page.
I’ve found the shortcode [shared_files_categories] which allows you to link to different categories on a page, and this one [shared_files_accordion group_files_by_month=1 categories=“sample-category-1,sample-category-2,sample-category-3”] which presents the documents by category in an accordion.
I’d like all the documents to appear on the same page and be arranged by category, but without the accordion. Is this possible?

If I understand correctly, when “Set the status of uploaded files to ‘Pending Review’” is checked in the “File upload” tab, the files uploaded from the front are not published immediately and need to be validated by the administrator in the back office.
If this is the case, is it possible to activate an email notification to the administrator each time a document is awaiting validation?

I use the plugin for display our downloads. As you can see in the pictures, a ‘<br/>
tag’ is inserted after each download. I would like to remove this so that the distance between the downloads is reduced. Which file (template) do I have to adjust for this – so far I have not been able to find it. Thanks for your help.
I installed and tested the plugin today. I like it very much, but unfortunately no description is displayed with the shortcode e.g. [shared_files file_id=3541]. If I use the shortcode [shared_files] the description is shown. But now all downloads are displayed and I cannot filter the display with the free version. Am I doing something wrong or is it due to the limitation of the free version?

First, I love shared files! Thanks for the nice plugin. But I had some issues with the translation and I want to solve them before I buy the pro version. My Site language is german but some texts in the plugin are still english (see in the picture the words title, choose tag // This is not the url where the plugin is installed, I make a webpage for a costumer and dont want to show the url, sorry :))
The main language in the back end is german. And I also tried to find the untranslated words with Loco Translate but I couldnt find them. May you can help me?

My document library is no longer working. All PDFs are still in the shared-files folder and the links are generated correctly. However, I get an error message and the PDFs are no longer displayed. I experienced these problems only through user feedback and I don’t have much traffic on my site, so I can’t say exactly when and why the problem arose. The documentation is not very comprehensive and I don’t know how to start troubleshooting. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks a lot!

I’m trying to get the plugin to work but it doesn’t at the moment. I’m using the oxygen builder which has a shortcode element. So I’ve put the [shared_files] shortcode in it but it only shows the text “[shared_files]”. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how I could fix it.
We upload and DOWNload .GPX files for GPS devices.
The FILE NAME in the display is highlighted to indicate it is ‘clickable, BUT if the file name IS clicked, the file OPENS in the browser. In the case of our .GPX files, the user does NOT have anything on their computer/device to actually RUN the file so it opens with this message “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.” and this confuses our users. Our people need to click the ‘DOWNLOAD” button instead (and now I have noted this on the user page)
Is there a setting to make the FILE NAME not clickable to save our users from this ??

Is this plugin suitable to have a private environment in our website so that registered users are able to login, browse, and download files from a kind of a File Manager UI environment (like a windows Explorer with folders and files)?
So we need the front-end functionality for web users, not on the back-end /wp-admin/ environment.
If so, would it be possible to even restrict access to certain folders to just certain users?

Image preview works but download or right click/open in new tab for both images and PDF files returns 404. The produced URLS are of the form:

But the actual files are visible at e.g.:
(Note the removal of the file ID in the path). So the files are not getting uploaded with a file ID in the path, for some reason.

This problem persists across all the websites, summing up across all 5 of them,
there is more than 60MB of this rubbish data (> 1M rows).

When you decide to upload a new one, I noticed a bug: some images in the media library (attached or not to a shared file, just disappear without any trace).
