WP Author Bio is filling up my PHP error log with lines like these:

I have the following error being reported to me from Penguin Initiatives:

We have a multisite, multilingual environment. The WP Author Bio plugin seems to be working, but we are not seeing the “Job Title” showing up in WPML String translation. We update the user, add the job title, save it. Then we test to make sure that it shows up on the site (in English). When it does, we then scan the theme and the plugin in WPML to see if it will “pick up” the new string. It does not show up for translation.

We are running WordPress 4.9.9.

The social icons don’t appear proportional, they are stretched out.

I have stored an avatar for the guest authors in the appropriate spot in Guest Authors; however, the image does not display. Is there a particular trick for making this work? (I have already tried changing the show/hide in mobile option, to no avail.)

The plugin info page says it has support for Co-Authors Plus but on my post pages, only the first author bio appears.

The plugin is working fine on posts with only 1 author. However, when on posts with 2 authors, their Job Titles do not show up at all. Doing an inspect doesn’t show an element <span id=”sab-jobtitle”>Position Title Here</span>. Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue? Please advise. Thank you.

We have both development and production wordpress sites, which of course have different domains. We would like to use relative urls so that we don’t need to update users between dev and prod. (yes, we know that we’ll need the same image name at the same location in both environments for this to work.) Is there a way to place a relative url in the Custom Avatar URL field and have it work? I’ve tried a relative url without success.

During a Worpress update, we noticed that social icons on this plugins for the writers have disappeared. There was no problem but now their gone. How do we get them back?

I have this plugin on https://the-wellness-institute.com/ and a subdomain from the same site portal.the-wellness-institute.com/keep-calm-in-the-fall/. I have the exact same theme on both sites as well.

On the main site the author box is huge, the icons are huge. I have the exact same settings for both. I am stumped on what the problem is.

Hi!

Currently the integration of co-author-plus is not working. As I can see the code on line 359 in class-sexy-author-bio.php is commented. If uncomment it, it does not work because it shows only the first author bio a second time.

Would it be possible that you fix this? That would be really nice! Thank you!

The fonts I’ve chosen in my author box (https://www.theturbantimes.com/author/masihsadat/ ), for the author name and author byline, are shown ‘correctly’ on desktop version but on smartphone it’s not the same and not bold.

Does anyone know why and if there’s some settings or CSS code I can use to the smartphone version looks like the desktop one?

Also, is it possible to move the biography text a bit down with a Css code? So there is a bit space between the byline and the biography. You can see in the link that they are very close to each other.

Hi guys, great plug in! Everything was nice and easy but the one thing I was hoping to do is have the text ‘About the Author’ or something along those lines appearing above the box. I don’t have any skills beyond installing plugins and customising them (so no php) – is there a spot to do that within the plugin that I’m missing or will it require some specialist skills?

This is a great little plugin but one thing it is missing that would make it even better is the ability to change the display order. Many WP users will use JetPack and other plugins that load in the_content and would prefer to have this above certain items instead of way down below.

Is there any way this could be added, or is there something that can be done via functions.php to have this happen instead?

How do you change fonts. I can see in the plugin that the default is ‘Open Sans’, sans-serif

but if I want to change it to something else where do I look for the proper name? I would like to change it to Verdana for example. Thanx, i know this is a newbee question.

I’m using this plugin in conjunction with Co-Authors Plus, and in posts with multiple authors, authors with hidden or no job info display the last coauthor’s job info. I can’t share my website at the moment, but here is a picture of what I’m talking about:

Secondname and Thirdname’s bylines should be blank, but instead they display Jobname’s info. After taking a quick glance at the class-sexy-author-bio.php file, I think this is caused by $showjobtitle not being cleared after each coauthor, but I’m not sure.

Hello, we have the incorrect author bio being pulled on AMP pages. Here is an example:

I’ve spoken with the lead developer of AMP for WP and he said the issue is not with the AMP for WP plugin, but rather with the way WP Author Bio is coded. Do you have any suggestions for this fix, or can you add this to the next update release?

I love the plugin. One thing I noticed is when you view in ‘mobile’ (I have an iphone), the bio picture does not show. Here is an example https://www.more4kids.info/5053/your-childs-winter-break-doesnt-have-to-break-you/

It works fine from a laptop/desktop, but the authors picture does not show up on a mobile device. Any thoughts?
