Hi, I’m using the Serial Codes Validator plugin and would like to know if there’s a specific shortcode available to validate codes from an individual list, or if the shortcode checks codes from all lists by default. Is there any way to restrict validation to just one specific list without having to modify PHP? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have encountered an issue with the plugin regarding the restriction code requirement. When I add two products to the cart—one that requires a restriction code and another that does not—the product that should not require a code also prompts for one at checkout. This behavior is unexpected, and I would like to know if there is a way to resolve this.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and does it happen for others as well?

Have been testing the free version of this plugin, overall very pleased with it. However, it would be very useful to have the ability to add different code generator rules for each variation in case of Variable products. Right now I would have to create a separate product for each of the variations in order to have different prefixes.

Another useful feature would be to automatically show the code on the Order Completion page like the WC Serial Numbers plugin does.

Just suggestions ??

I want to find out if it’s possible to limit the license code generated to only one pc usage? I am selling softwares and I want to use your plugin to generate unique license keys for me for each order. When the buyers install the software on their pc, I want to limit the software usage on only that 1 pc. they can’t install it on other PCs.

hi, can you make this by adding one more option, as once code is seen by user, and if same code is typed by a user it has to generate message to user as code already used, so how can we do this option?

Just looking through the code and have a question about the “stolen” status,
Is there an easy way of implementing a simple button on the Woocommerce Account page where a user can report their own serial as stolen? Which will then change the Aktiv option in the database and if anyyone then checks the serial code afterwards it will show as stolen?

Also can you provide a quick example of how you would write a simple code to perform an action after a code is checked? I have read the documentation, but it isn’t clear how or where the jsafter code should go, or in what type of format. Even if it just connects to a database table and outputs user details.

Hello, we considered buying the premium?plugin and think it’s very good, except for one thing that unfortunately makes it unusable for us:

If you receive a download after registering a serial code, the download address for the file is always the same and can be accessed as often as you like. (In Chrome, for example, a PDF file does not download, but is displayed directly in the browser, where you can copy the URL above.) This means that once you enter a serial number, you can simply copy the link to the file and then distribute it anywhere on the Internet. We have to protect our files somehow and that doesn’t work if the download link is freely available. This makes the entire (and really good) function with the serial numbers useless.

Is there a way in the plugin to instead generate a one-time link to the downloadfile that can only be accessed once and then becomes invalid?

Can the SN codes be assigned and imported dynamically from spreadsheet in google?

This means the codes in Serial Codes Validator plugin to be assigned to different groups depending on the column that exactly matches the column in the spreadsheet document.

example: document spreadsheet has 2 columns:
SN ; SN Group:

The SNs are many, the SN Groups should be 10-20 or something like that – or even 2. Each time a new row is added to the spreadsheet with a code and its group -> it should be imported to the plugin with that group exactly. Is this possible?

Hello, i use your plugin serial codes validator and i have a problem with the orders and the serial numbers that are corresponding to each order. How can i make the plugin to automatically assign the appropriate serial number based on the order number and the email that the user provided in its billing information?

And at the moment in my website when someone orders something – a code is received from the plugin for it. When the user is logged in and i use this shortcodes:[sngmbhSerialcodesValidator] &?[sngmbhSerialcodesValidator_code]
the last used serial-number that was with the order of the item do not appear. So its not registered to the same user with the purchase.?
How i can assign this codes to the appropriate customers/users and if possible can it be automatically?

The assignment of serial code to an order is hard. 

Btw i can see the serial-code in the order details – but i can not see it via the shortcode validator or the shortcode list. This means that its not assigned to the email from the billing email field.

I’ve used this plugin to create a serial code for a certain product. What I need is to be able to put the validation QR en the invoice the user gets with the purchase.

I know it sends an additional file with the code but I need it to be on the original invoice.

I’ve managed to get the serial code using the custom field ‘_sngmbh_product_serial_code’ but I need the complete code for the validation. For what I’ve seen, the complete code is composed of [ticket_id]-[order_id]-[serial_code]. I know how to get the last 2, but not the ticket id.

Hi! I’m still in the testing phase, but I just can’t figure out what’s the problem with the QR code URL option.

On options, it clearly says: The URL should be absolute, if you like to provide the generated QR image to your customers. The image can be retrieved within the serial code area. The code detail contains a button for it.

When I put Absolute URL: https://www.mywebsite.com/validation/?code={CODE}&action=validate I can’t find anywhere QR generated image, nor in customer email nor in “My Orders”… All I would like is: Customer scans his QR code and that product Serial number will fill automatically in the box to check if it’s a real product and etc.

I am using the free version of Serial Codes Validator Version: 2.3.10 to handle my event ticket:
WordPress Version: 6.0.2
MySQL/Mariadb Version: 5.5.5
PHP Version: 7.4.30
Basic Plugin Version: 2.3.10
Basic DB Version: 1.7`

My problem is I realized the PDF ticket from the first day of sales has gone from the code list. My order ID started from 1181, but In the code list, the earliest order ID is 1287. I have lost the validation code from 1181-1286.

The total number of tickets sold as of today is only 175, which I think is still not exceeding the limit of free code in the free version.

I have once activated my premium version and can’t find the code list I created in the free version, I deactivated the premium version and get back the code list that I made in the free version. I do not know does this have an impact on the situation.

Please help.

Objective: to validate tickets with a ticket scanner available in the free version.

Issue: The ticket scanner has not responded with the QR code displayed in the pdf ticket.

Work done:
1) Created a test code list and a test product
2) Test product is set under simple product with virtual product ticked.
3) Assigned the product to the test code list
4) made a test purchase with my own account and made actual payment
5) Received the PDF ticket
6) Log in admin using mobile phone, go to serial code validator tab and click on the “ticket scanner”
7) Tried to scan the QR code
8) Results: no response from the QR code scanner

Question: Is the ticket scanner valid under the free version? I actually bought the “Serial codes generator and validator PREMIUM”, but once I activated it, I lost the code list that I created under the free version, I have no time to troubleshoot because my event is just around the corner.

I didn’t buy the “event tickets with Woo Commerce” plugin as I am using the serial code validator for digital download too, hence was thinking to have this cover for multi-purposes.

Objective: To allow free download in woo commerce with a pre-generated serial code.

Current status: Unsuccessful, when entering one of the generated codes at the shopping cart, the warning “The product “Testing” requires a restriction code for checkout.” still appears and can’t check out.

Work Done:
1) at admin>serial Codes Validator>Options>Woocommerce restrict product sale without serial code: Checked “Woocommerce restrict product sale without serial code”
2) Create a new Code list
3) Generate new codes by pressing the add button
4) at admin>woo commerce> creat new testing product, checked “Virtual” & “Downloadable”
5) update downloadable files with file URL and price to 0.
6) Click “Serial Codes and Ticket”, and choose the right code list under “Code List for Sales Restriction”
7) save.

My system info:
Wordpress version: 6.0.1
Woo commerce version: 6.7.0
PHP version: 7.4.30

Your plug-in is exactly what I needed. If it works I will buy the premium version. Please help to resolve this issue.

I am testing your plugin into my woocommerce and maybe I am doing something in the wrong way.

I have created a list of code and than I have imported into this list 12 codes.
Than I created a product, I flagged it as a virtual product and than I select the list I created before as “code list for sale restriction”.

After this configuration I did a purchase simulation, but I noticed two things:

1) All the codes that I imported into the main list are still “green” while I suppose that one of them must become “red”.

2) The code was not present into the confirm email send after the purchase to the costumer.

Have I commit an error during the configuration?
