I’m a WP novice. This was my very first attempt at a plugin installation and it went without a single hitch.
After installation, you have a little box (just like the “slug” box) in the page edit section called “Meta Description.” Fill in your info and you’re done! What could be simpler?

This would be great but…
A) The site “tagline” remains as the default meta description.
B) This plug-in does nothing to remove or hide the default meta description.
C) Thus, TWO meta descriptions are present and search engines will not know which is correct.
So while the plug-in functions, it fails to remove the default. So you will get two meta descriptions.
Even if you remove whatever is in your WP site “tagline” field, it will still print <meta name="description" content="" />
if you “View Source” code of your blog entry.
Now all of that being said, it DOES state that is is only compatible with 3.1.4 and older, so maybe I’m just being a jerk.
