Hello!
Thanks for your awesome plugin.
In PHP 7.2 everything works fine, but when I change to PHP 7.3, I get a lot of Backend errors and Notices in the Frontend.
Are you planning to support PHP 7.3 / develop the plugin further?
]]>Hi,
Just wanted to let you guys know that on sites leveraging this plugin and some sort of HTML caching/minifying, the extra commented out $(document).ready on line 29 is forced onto the same line as the second document.ready, and both end up commented out. This causes jQuery errors. I went into the plugin editor and deleted the first commented out line of code and it fixed the issue. Just thought you guys might want to know.
//jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
jQuery(document).ready(function ($) {
var count = 0;
var pathname = window.location.pathname; // Returns path only
var url = window.location.href;
var pdf;

There used to be a feature to open the image links in a new tab. I think it was a checkbox and it has disappeared recently.
I use image code from Flickr for my images, and I prefer the users open the image in a new tab rather than navigate away from my website.
What happened to the feature and is it possible to get it back, please?
]]>I’d like to use this plugin for images on my Pages. Will that work?
]]>I have WordPress multisite. THe plugin works great but in the backend I have the following errors
Notice: Undefined index: enable_pdf_ext in wp-content/plugins/seo-image-alt-tags/classes/class-sit-settings.php on line 190
Notice: Undefined index: disable_clientside_script in /wp-content/plugins/seo-image-alt-tags/classes/class-sit-settings.php on line 209
Notice: Undefined index: dab_af in /wp-content/plugins/seo-image-alt-tags/classes/class-sit-settings.php on line 224
Also in the frontend I have: Notice: Undefined index: disable_clientside_script in /wp-content/plugins/seo-image-alt-tags/classes/class-sit-scripts.php on line 25
Currently due to the front-end error I disabled the plugin. What’s the problem?
]]>Hi,
I get two errors after installing the plugin:
Warning: Illegal string offset ‘update’ in /home/maltacode/domains/monti.com.mt/public_html/wp-content/plugins/seo-image-alt-tags/classes/class-sit-settings.php on line 108
Warning: Illegal string offset ‘delete’ in /home/maltacode/domains/monti.com.mt/public_html/wp-content/plugins/seo-image-alt-tags/classes/class-sit-settings.php on line 121
Is there something I need to do to make it run?
Kind regards,
MaltaCode
Version 3.2.7 with Simplemag theme. I had to desactive this plugin
]]>Hi there, can you please explain how this works in more detail? I uploaded and activated plugin. I then updated the tag generator and it said it created 14, which is how many images I have.
However when I open a new window and view the page source code from a Chrome browser there is no indication that any alt tags were added to the images missing them…
Thoughts?
Thanks ahead of time
]]>Hi There,
First off awesome plugin, love the fact that it takes away hyphens from the image name its exactly what I’m looking for, do have one question though.
I have ran the script and found that it seems to be limited in the length (64 characters) that it is copying, is there anyway way to make sure that it covers the whole image name even if its fairly long.
Kind Regards
Calum Green
]]>Hi, there appears to be a typo in your plugin code that locks up my website (giving a “undefined reference ‘f’ …” message in the console, and causing all JS to stop working)
I have traced the issue to the highlighted line of code here: https://i.imgur.com/Y0uE50E.png
Removing the “f” should make the plugin work again.
]]>The plugin is inserting my site Tagline as the alt image tag for every image on my site…
I notice that you’ve not tested this on the current version of WordPress.
Any plans on an update/fix for this?
Thanks in advance.
Julie
I JUST upgraded to the latest version of your plugin and now the text editor on “Pages” and “Posts” don’t work. It doesn’t click anywhere. When I disabled your plugin, they work again. Just letting you know that if this continues, I’m going to find an alternate plugin. Thanks!
]]>Just ran the database updater, it added alt tags for all my images, but it seems it gave the alt tag of the first picture in the article to all pictures in the same article. See eg. here: https://caravanistan.com/places/eki-naryn/
What do you reckon?
]]>This seems to be the same plugin: which one should I install? Is there a difference?
Thank you, looking forward to using it, looks very useful!
]]>I installed it to writedge.com and activated it, but none of my empty alt-text fields have been filled out.
]]>By default, WP add image name as alt tag. So how can there missing alt tag ?
