This plugin is just what I needed. Thank you!!!! The problem I’m having is that the page contains a list of file names that I want to be searchable. Some of the file names contain a hyphen and the search/highlight function stops as soon as you type in the hyphen. Is there any way to overcome this and include special characters?

I have tried to paste the shortcode [add-search-inside] on the page, I tried also to put “310” in the HTML tag ID (from that page)… nothing appears

I would like to search only the toggle titles on this page. Search Inside works on this page but you can’t see the highlighted text inside the closed toggles. I am open to any suggestions you may have!

I have a page with over 95,000 words on it, so when I try to search with your plugin it is understandable delayed because it cycles through the entire 95,000 words every-time you type a character.

My question is, is there a way to add a “search” button, so that it would not start searching through the document until I have typed out what I want to search for and then click “search”?

We just installed this useful plugin, but we would like to see specific colours occur on searches instead if the rainbow that naturally occurs.

Do only web-friendly colours work here?

We’re trying #00cc33 but even when saved in the options menu for all circles there the rainbow effect still occurs.

How can we have just one custom colour show? Please help ASAP if you can.

I am using the plugin to search within a page of model numbers. However, all of our model numbers have hyphens, and this seems to break the search. For example, I cannot search for “E3-110023-1012”

Is there a way to fix this? It would be very helpful to be able to use your plugin, however I do need the ability to search with hyphens. Thanks so much!

I love your plugin. Thank you for it! Although I can get the form to work just fine on desktop, it does not want to load on mobile. I have tried both Chrome and Safari on mobile. Any suggestions?

Thank you for this great plugin! The input field appears too large to fit within the form. It extends outside of the form. This may be a conflict with my theme, but occurs in both IE and Chrome. Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve? Many thanks!

Hello Josantonius. This is the closest plugin I have been able to find to give me what I want for my client’s website. It has taken a bit of effort to get the search bar to display, but now that I see it, the buttons don’t work. Are these “up” and “down” arrows supposed to highlight the search words above and below the bar? Do you know why they might not be working for me? Not sure if I’m missing a step or not. The site isn’t live, but if I have to make the page live for you to see where the problem is I can do that.

By default, the plugin was working on every page. All my clients had to do was start typing to search for content.

Suddenly, that feature stopped working. Nothing would happen when they type.

I am able to add the search bar via shortcode, but I thought it was easier the other way.

Please advise.

Right now it is not working with a keyboard only (can’t tab/get to the down arrow to click through the results one by one). Is this fixable?

I have tried setting up the search with multiple configurations and HTML IDs with no luck. Can you please take a look at my site and let me know if you can see anything I am missing. The plugin is currently active with the following configuration:

i had do delete the plugin. but i want it, it seems to be no other plugin can search on one site?

unfortunately the plugin doesn’t work for me at all due to JS errors. When starting to type a word or phrase to search for I get the following error message in the console:

Uncaught TypeError: Failed to execute 'replaceChild' on 'Node': parameter 1 is not of type 'Node'.

I’ve been trying the plugin on two completely different WordPress instance but get the same errors with both installations.

I installed and activated the plugins correctly but it don’t work for me.
I go to the setting and set it by using shortcode and then I saved it. But it doesn’t show in my page. Did i miss something. How can i fix this?

This plugin is not working anymore, because it uses a version of the Eliasis framework that is now deprecated. It causes a fatal error when activated. Are you going to fix this?

Users with custom AND default (core) roles that aren’t admin, (ie editor, contributor, etc) can no longer access WordPress back-end with plugin activated. I looked quickly through the files and couldn’t find a reason.

Can reproduce on default WordPress install with no other plugins installed and default theme. Can reproduce on WordPress version 4.9.2 and an older site running 4.8.5.

This bug (feature?) completely breaks functionality for multi-user run sites.

Need urgent help with this, please. ??

I know that weDocs provides a custom search widget, can it be the problem?

I can add shortcode inside a page but nothing happens, I also try with Show by pressing alphanumeric key.

Based on the video you made, your plugin seems to be interesting and perfect for my projetc. So I decided to install it on my blog. The problem is, when I tried to activate it, I could not because of the following error:
