Hi there,
I am struggling with this a bit…The images that the slideshow pulls are much too big, so they are zoomed super close up.
Is there an easy way to automatically force the images to fit within the specified window?
Also: RE the text on the slideshow, is it possible to have only the title of the post, and not the first sentence too?
Thanks!
Alex
I have searched, but haven’t found a clear explanation of how to accomplish the instruction to carry out the following:
Add images to posts as follows:
Edit the post to add the image to
Add a custom field called “slider”
Use the path to an image for the custom field value. This can be one in your media library or use an absolute path from another site if you have permission to do so.
That’s very important – image leeching is naughty.
Update your post.
Could someone explain in layman’s terms how to do this? I see nowhere to add a ‘custom field’ in my image editor in wordpress.
Thanks
HI,
I would like to insert next and prev button while scrolling my post.
Is it possible? How can I do?
I was wondering if there was a way to only show the post title and not a shortened piece of an excerpt. Thanks!
]]>I’ve been using Scrollarama for a few months now and love the plugin. However, I wanted to know if anybody can help add a couple of features.
1.) Make image clickable.
2.) Make text had drop shadow on hover.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
]]>Hi,
I love your plug-in and wanted to request 2 features:
-> A form element to set the class of links.
-> Add the option “All” with value “-1” so all posts of a category are allowed.
Thanks for the plugin, its been the only one so far that I’ve been able to get a category specific news ticker with.
I’ve removed the output of the image and the excerpt, since all I need is the title with a link to it’s article. The problem is, in IE7, I’m getting a dark grey background behind the widget area, that changes color when the slider fades each item in and out.
When it first loads the page in IE7, it is transparent as it should be. Then it finishes loading the page and inserts this color.
In Firefox and Chrome, the background of the box is successfully transparent.
Additionally in IE7, when it first loads the page, I can see an extra line below the title that consist of the title for the second item in the slideshow. Once the page finishes loading it is hidden as it should be, but this jitter is problematic.
I know I’ve hacked apart some of the display of your plugin, but any insight to getting the jquery cycle to play nicely with IE would be greatly appreciated.
]]>Is it possible to move the title and the exerpt to the top of the container and not have it over lap the background image? Also, is there way to bring the background images (the slides) to the front so that they can be stylized in CSS as img?
]]>Currently, the images it selects are larger than the container area so part of the slides get cut off. I tried using “fit: 1,” or “fit: 0,” to force slides to fit the container in the JQuery Cycle Options but but neither work. Am i doing something wrong or is there another way?
I really like this plugin otherwise – it’s just what I’ve been looking for.
]]>Love this plugin, so far. It is very brief in its settings. One can set width and height and image transition effect, but the speed at which it changes images is set in stone.
I need help slowing down the image changes.
