Images are larger (much larger) than the widget width size.
How resize the images?
Thank you.
I am trying to set up your plugin to read a website feed, but it does not display the images. The test feed works correctly.
]]>Update to 2.0.0 killed my whole site (wp 4.1.1) – it showed only one line saying something about “syntax error” and “rss-image-widget” (unfortunately I didn’t copy the full message).
I just deleted the plugin via sftp and the site started working again, but without this plugin of course.
]]>My images are placed in the cache folder, but they have a size of zero bytes.
What goes wrong?
]]>This plugin should be removed unless updated.
]]>This is a great plugin for previous WP install. However it is not compatible with 3.5.1. As soon as an image is not present in the feed it will error out and disable everything in the side bar after it useless and not function. I’d love to see it updated if possible.
]]>The widget above this widget is appearing but this widget and any that were supposed to appear below it are not appearing.
The RSS feed I am trying to use is from ebay listings so the feed and images should be formatted correctly, so I don’t think that is causing the problem.
]]>So the plugin works with the link you provided but when I paste the following link in the widget, all sidebars go blanc. https://google.com/doodles/doodles.xml
The only thing I want to show is the daily doodle on my page.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Is there a way to add the date and excerpt to this RSS Image Widget? Would be great to have one widget that does it all.
]]>Ok, one last try to install this widget. Everything seems ok except the actual image not showing up. The browser instead shows the regular question mark that means a broken image link.
Have given the whole cache directory and its content all permissions (777) while trying to get this to work, to no avail.
Can it have something to do with the fact that cached images are named something like 65816ef48316b6ce88c882c8506be097.spc, whereas the html asks for an image called “rss_image_cache_8”? It seems to me that’s the transformation moment that doesn’t happen.
]]>I’m trying this plugin to include RRS with thumnails from one WordPress site to another. I have the same probleme as before: No pics only title,
and i don’t understand the ‘enclosure’ response, the picture are in the “featured image” of the posts there’s no enclosure option.
wp 3.4.1
]]>I used to have this plugin working fine. However now on my home page (where the images should be showing own the right side-bar) it lists the following error 4x for each image (16x total), with the image displayed below every 4x this error is displayed.
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/brewsess/public_html/MYSITE.com/wp-content/plugins/rss-image-widget/rss_image.php on line 209
I know that’s an error you’d get if you’re calling a foreach on a variable that isn’t an array, but I haven’t looked at the code closed enough to figure out what it’s trying to do. Odd thing is is that the images are showing up, just with 4 of these identical Warnings above each image.
Any ideas?
I’m using WordPress 3.2.1 and v1.4 of the plugin.
]]>Just install this plugin and it does not work. im only getting the title and not the images.
Heres a screnshot of how it looks like: https://i55.tinypic.com/x3trh3.jpg
Im using this feed url: https://funny-pictures-blog.com/feed/
and yes, the cache folder got the right permission ??
]]>Hi Zach,
I can’t get the rss image widget to work. The feed I want it to pull from is https://www.offshoreodysseys.com/rss/logs.php. The blog is /offshoreodysseys.com/blog. It looks like it’s pulling titles and links from the feed, but the images are not coming up. I’ve made cache folder group writable. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Gavin
