The plugin is throwing a deprecated code error in PHP 8.0. Can you please fix this? Also, as posted 3 months ago, the plugin needs to be checked with recent WordPress versions and updated, so it will not be considered abandoned.

This plug in works well for me, but I am getting a notice that it may be abandonned, which occurs if no updates for 2 years. Please check compatibilty with current version of WordPress and release a update.

A small issue I’m having is that I don’t see an option to delay the buttons. The documentation includes this feature, but I don’t see that option available.

I have a website that contains multiple Rolo Sliders, with different heights.

On homepage I have a 500px height slider and on other pages a 200px height slider.

In Chrome (mostly) there’s an issue with multiple heights, it sometimes cuts off the 500px height slider.

When I inspect the source I notice both heights:

.rolo_wrapper4.rolo_wrapper:not(.images) {
    height: 200px;
}
.rolo_wrapper4.rolo_wrapper:not(.images) {
    <del>height: 500px</del>;
}

(the 500px height slider is commented out)

When I refresh the page, the 200px height is gone. So that’s good.

So is this a cache issue?

Nice plugin, simple and clean backend settings section. I like it.

I want a full screen slider. When I select “Force Full Width” I notice the slider is overlapping the container (+/- 20px), in my case it creates a horizontal scroll bar on the page.

And a minor cosmetic issue on the slider page in backend, the black submit button doesn’t look nice because this type of button already has a blue background by default.

Slides are not displayed in arabic version (it work fine for 3 others languages) I don’t understand if problem is from a plugin or WPML..

Hi We love the plugin…just can\’t find out how to do one thing. We just want our gallery on ONE LINE and have an arrow to show more and they slide it. Like a carousel. We tried scroll otpion and it didn\’t look the way we wanted. Please help.

I found in linkchecker some 404 errors.
Browser expects grabbing.png and AjaxLoader.gif to be in assets/css/, but they are in assets/images/. So this two classes in rolo.css have to be fixed:

.owl-item.loading{
min-height: 150px;
background: url(../images/AjaxLoader.gif) no-repeat center center
}

.grabbing {
cursor:url(../images/grabbing.png) 8 8, move;
}

I chose the Rolo Slider plugin because I was impressed with the implementation of the Ken Burns effect. I installed it in WP 4.8.9 on WAMP running PHP 7. I was able to create a slider with about 50 slides all of fixed height, title all bottom left, and was very happy with the results.

After installing WP with the same theme and plugins on hosting (same versions and PHP) I exported from the WAMP site and imported the xml file. After changing all the URL’s it ran, but then I found that only 35 images were displaying. There were a few other missing images and title issues including positions, that had changed, but I corrected by editing the slider, except for the last slide (No. 35), which will not save the title in the bottom position and I also cannot save additional slides beyond this point.

I opened the xml file and found some errors and tried to import back to the WAMP site after deleting the original. It will not import, although I am able to start creating a new slider there. I have checked the database, found no problems, but ran repair and still cannot import, also after uninstalling and reinstalling the Rolo Slider plugin.

I should like to ask whether there is a limit to the number of slides.

Finally I found 2 PHP notices in WP debug:

PHP Notice:  Undefined offset: 0 in \wp-content\plugins\rolo-slider\import\parsers\wxr-simple-xml.php on line 44
and
PHP Notice:  Undefined index: base_url in wp-content\plugins\rolo-slider\import\importer.php on line 94

I was able to fix the second notice but not the first.

I really like the slider and would appreciate some assistance with the issues.

Hi everyone, I would like to increase the size of the caption in the Rolo slider, but I can’t find an option. Should I possibly solve this via Custom CSS? If so, how would the code for the Rolo slider be, or how can it be addressed? Many thanks in advance!

Is there any trick to make the slider appear full screen on mobile ??

Is there a way to change the order of the sliders? There are little up and down arrows at the bottom of each slide when I add them but they don’t seem to move the order (not really sure what they’re supposed to do).

How and where do you set captions for responsive photos?

Entered key, clicked ‘Save’ but ‘License status’ stays empty. There is no option to max height on the slider either so I conclude this key isn’t working.

EDIT: Scrap that, working now.

Hi, great plugin, thank you for it. I have one thing that I cannot resolve, that is how Safari browser shows the left arrow pointing right like the right arrow. Firefox and Chrome work fine as expected. I am on an iMac. Can you help please? Thanks very much

thanks for this great and easy to use slider!!

Working fine, only I have a problem in IE11.
I use a theme from GT3-Themes and also their pagebuilder. In this page builder is a section for HTML and also shortcodes. I used this one and also the section content. Furthermore I just have copied it in the standard text field of WP.
The Kenburns slides are sliding left and right although I used fade.

I liked how simple the slider works.
However i want to disable the ken burns effect.
so the images will stay visible for a couple of seconds but without the effect in it.

What do i have to change in the code?

So I have a wide thin banner, in which I am displaying a large square image. The Ken Burns effect works, except that it never show the bottom of the image. eg.
