Thanks for the plugin. I have it running fine on a blog that I have not yet updated WP to 3.9.1 (its still at 3.8.3).
On a blog running 3.9.1 when I try to search for plugins (plugin-install.php), I get sent to my blog’s (public) home page. Deactivating Robots Meta clears up the issue. I just tried a second time to be sure and did reproduce the anomaly.
Sure, could be some weird interaction with another plugin, but I don’t think so.
For now, I can temporarily disable Robots Meta if I want to search for a plugin. I have not noticed any other odd behavior.
]]>Hello,
I’m a big fan of your plugin.
I have this page on my site. https://www.pallareviews.com/about-the-author/ . Whenever I try to change the setting to “dofollow” it comes back to “nofollow”.
I’m using Thesis 2.1 and BloggersPride Skin.
What’s the reason? If its incompatibility with my WP version, can you point out similar plugin where I can import all the data from Robots Meta and use it!

How do I get rid of them or ensure that they have the descriptions. Please help me out.

BLANK SCREEN after installation and network active.
CAUSE : wrong path of line 13 in robots-meta.php
require_once('yst_plugin_tools.php');
It SHOULD be modified as below.
require_once( plugin_dir_path( __FILE__ ) . '/yst_plugin_tools.php' );
and then It works.

I am very new to WP.

If you have an answer or could point me to a previous answer, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi everyone,
I’m using a stock installation of Genesis and Robots Meta.
I’m wondering if Genesis will by default, overwrite any settings in Robots Meta when it comes to SEO, because of the fact that Genesis is very much a SEO’d theme?
For example, if I set Robots Meta to not index the author archive on WordPress, will the default SEO settings of Genesis overwrite that action and enable the author archive to be indexed still?
We need to be sure about the results we’re getting ??
Thanks in advance for any help.
]]>Bulk edit resets robots meta of each post to index, follow.
]]>When the option “disable the date based archive” is checked in the robots-meta settings, it becomes impossible to sort the medias by month/year in the library. When I try, Im instantly redirected to my site’s homepage.
Thus, an error message occurs in the “add media” iframe of the post/edit page :
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /homez.425/testccd/www/wp-admin/includes/media.php:305) in /homez.425/testccd/www/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 897
Is there any way to keep date based archives disabled and avoid this media library sorting issue ?
Thanks.

Hi, I have had a few pages already indexed by Google, and thanks to this plug-in, that should not happen again, BUT, for the pages already indexed, I have found that I should add content=”noarchive” to the Meta and Google will removed these already indexed pages from the cache/archive. I can see where this is possible to turn this on in the plug-in, but this only seems to effect my main page at the moment, can we have this added so that we can add on a per page/post basis? Just like how you can do it now with nofollow/noindex options.
Cheers, Keep up the good work.

Hi,
I’ve been in talks with my dedicated hosting provider, it seems we can conclude that Robots Meta doesn’t work on a small part, Let me explain.
1. The site is in normal HTTP, that’s OK.
2. All plugin settings are tweaked.
3. There is a setting called “Prevent sites from directly linking your search results. ” This is useful for media sites which i own.
4. The site’s ADMIN (WP-Admin) panel is now in SSL mode. (Self-signed SSL)
5. Everything works, BUT when i go to
-Edit posts
-Enter “Vybz Kartel” etc, on to the search box on the right
to seach for a post.
-The admin panel redirects me to the MAIN site.
-So basically the plugin prevents ME from searching posts to edit if admin panel is in SSL Mode.
6. If i UNTICK the setting “Prevent sites from directly linking your search results.” , i can search my site or search for posts in (SSL) admin panel without a problem.
7. To conclude, there seems to be an issue with a plugin that doesn’t allow searches of a site or post if the admin panel uses SSL Mode (UNLESS i remove that setting in Robots Meta).
-What do you think? . Any help would be greatly appreciated.
]]>When using WordPress over an SSL connection (HTTPS) this plugin loads ‘robots-meta-admin.js’ over HTTP which causes a security warning in the browser.
It’d be great if you could add an ‘is_ssl()’ check and load the files over HTTPS when necessary to suppress this warning.
