Great plugin, we are using it in all our blogs since long ago and can just recommend it! It does the job and it′s very professional. Plus, great support!
BUT, we are confussed as it hasn′t being updated for more than 3 years, so means tghat probably isn′t maintained any more ??

I’m so glad to find a way to be able to style the text in page excerpts. I’m using a theme that uses widgets in a one-page theme. Only the excerpts show up on the main page. I was really frustrated at not being able to style the text until I found this. Thank you!!

This plugin saved my butt. Very easy to use and does what it promises.
Would like if the photo links in the excerpt would retain the ability to open images in Simple Lightbox.

Thank you, thank you, thank you – this is a life saver. And BTW to add excerpts to a custom post use this:
add_action('init', 'my_custom_init');
function my_custom_init() {
add_post_type_support( 'NAME_OF_CUSTOM_POST', 'excerpt' );
}Once you have done that the custom post name appears in the settings for this plugin and you can check the box to enable it.

The same thing can probably be achieved with a bit of php knowledge, but this plugin is very neat and simple.
Perfect, pain-free editing for your excerpts!
The links and other TinyMCE functions work as they should for me, just to counter the comment left by someone else who seemed to have a problem.

Excerpt box has added tool bar functionality, Html links don’t work. Minimal excerpt lines are not functional.

I did not reach out to author for support. Don’t have time to trouble shoot a plugin that should work out of the box.
