This plugin works really well and makes it super easy to submit revisions without deleting old content until your ready to.

This plugin has allowed our team to schedule updates for existing content for a future date. Great for timely or limited-period content. It’s solved a major pain point for our team, allowing us to be truly ahead of schedule, allowing us to take true time away rather than having to edit posts at specific times to ensure timely updates.
Grateful for this plugin and the entire suite of plugins that work together by PublishPress.

All I can go back to is a jacked up version of my homepage or a blank page. Rebuilt the page and all that’s available are the jacked up version and blank page…. third times a charm but first, I have to clean up the mess this plugin made.

If you’re using WordPress to manage documentation, Publish Press Revisions is a great enhancement. It allows you to manage revisions and makes the default revision manager much easier to use. I’m thinking about getting the pro version so I’m able to schedule when revisions are published.

I think it’s very good.

This plugin is great, but saidly I cannot revision learnpress courses so that the attributes of the “old” version is copied over. It actually possible but I would have to fill in all course information everytime which is really annoying…
It would be great if that feature could be added so that I can attach new lessions to a learnpress course via revision ??

Downloaded your free version to try it out. I used your plugin to fix 6 blog posts. Logged out of WordPress. Then went in the next day and all 6 of the revisions were gone! ?? I will not trust your plugin again, will be deleting it!

I’ve long thought one key weakness in WP was the inability to schedule updates to a page, meaning you have to do things fast if they need to be adjusted on a certain date. This plugin allows me to prepare pages, get them right, and schedule them well in advance – saves me stress and the risk of mistakes.
The actual making of a revision is easy – just like editing any page but the changes don’t go live until you want them to.
I’m thinking of getting Pro so it is easier to access the revisions (ie they will show on the ‘edit page’ so I know a revision is underway).
I would really like more control over who gets revision notifications though, rather than bundling all admin and editors as one.

Works pretty well as advertised. More customisation in some areas would be nice, I’d like to be able to pick the user that gets the revision request for certain updates for example, but I’d imagine that’s a pro feature.

This is a nice plugin that makes doing revisions a lot safer. Instead of editing a live copy, I can take my time. I can see where this be more valuable for teams where posts have to go through various workflow stages.

Works well, allows me to take time updating pages, especially the home page which, after all, is the most important page …

I don’t have to wake up early to update pages anymore, yay!!

I use a combination of PublishPress (for workflow notifications), PublishPress Revisions, and PublishPress Capabilities on my multi-contributor site. The dev team has been responsive to suggestions/requests, and the plugins work quite smoothly together.
Two suggestions would be (1) to provide more in-depth documentation and (2) to work to integrate the various PublishPress projects even more tightly than they currently are.

Using this plugin for revision/update workflow for my site. Useful. Simple.

I installed the free version of the plugin found it to be great — easy to use and exactly as advertised. I contacted PublishPress for a pre-sale question for the pro version and they had an answer for me within an hour. Very impressed!

Convenient!
Thank you to the creator.
Only one CSS written in <head> of the fixed page is not reflected in Revision Queue.

solved.
It was a part that depended on the theme and plugins.
Then it can’t be helped.
Others are great. Thank you very much.

Good support! Only need the revision previews myself. Can see many of the options as addons. Might be nice to have a screen with a table of all revisions with search, filters and sorting

Had an issue that wasn’t working out, but support was very responsive and great communication. I would recommend your products to anyone that has a need for them. Thank you for your great support.

Actually, it’s sort of unfair to compare this plugin with the abandoned TAO one. This one has much more power, even in its free version.
Even a low-to-no-budget developer wants to expire or update content on a timed basis. As a musician, I offer a schedule of what I play each week. When the date passes, I can push that info down into an archive section, with next week’s information prominently displayed at the top.
What’s fun and convenient for me is absolutely imperative if you are expiring retail deals after a certain date/time passes.
Another very interesting use of the plugin that I only recently discovered is the ability to progressively update a page without committing the update to production. In other words, if I want to do heavy updates, I can do them in a sandbox, save them without publishing into the revision queue, and then later revise the page in the revision queue. When done, I simply push the revision queue page to production immediately, or I can set it to deploy on a timer.

Steve at Publishpress provided us with excellent support. Very timely responses and very helpful.

I have found the support at PublishPress to be very good. I have been using the Pro version and several plugins. Whenever I have a problem, the respond the next day and stick with me until the issue is solved. I have had 3-4 difficult issues over the year, and each time I felt they would hang in there with me and test my site and then guide me through the fix.

An absolutely brilliant plugin for collaboration projects and having other members help each other. For a long time I’ve wanted to provide a community of information with the greatest level of contribution access. Figuring out whether to go full wiki or selectively allow authors to create amazing pages had their pros/cons. Wikis allow for all members to contribute but lack progressive peer review while private ownership put too much responsibility on authors who maintain popular projects/places followed by potential for mediocre content. Thankfully Revisions Pro does an amazing job bridging community collaboration. Now members can contribute revisions to other people’s detailed posts followed by the post author being able to accept/reject those changes quickly. Compare view automatically highlights what has changed while frontend preview allows an exact view of what the approval would look like. Queue view allows you to swiftly see what revisions are made on your posts, what’s pending, and a birds eye management view for administrators to step in. So if users are on vacation while great contributions are made to their post’s, admins can accept revisions on their behalf so that the “wiki” part of posts is managed by the right people.
I’ve worked with other workflow plugins, post forking, ect which have decent features; however they all lack the ease of access, previewing, filter views, and optional bells and whistles of PublishPress Revisions. Coupled with Permissions Pro I can assign which categories revisions should be allowed on so that personal blog posts can go on without suggestions. Also love the email notification system to give members a heads up. PublishPress is one of the best companies I’ve ever seen, giving expedient responses and taking on progressive innovation. They don’t settle for good enough, something everyone should aspire to.
