Once again I’ve used the reusable Text Blocks to isolate and/or reuse moderately large blocks of HTML content.
I use the Classic WordPress editor, so the text blocks keep my HTML from getting too unwieldy. For example if I’m coding a two-column layout by hand, I can put the layout code in the page but put the columns content into Text Blocks.
Things I create reusable Text Blocks for include PayPal buttons and a schedule that appears at two places within the website. Isolating code to Text Blocks also reduces the chance of HTML errors from ruining the entire page, especially if clients are editing the pages themselves.
I like that I can use the block name within the shortcode.

This is an invaluable plugin and Hal deserves accolades for building it. It appears to work fine despite its lack of recent maintenance and lack of approval for use with recent versions of WordPress.
The lack of attention by the plugin author for such a long period of time makes me quite nervous about depending on this one-of-a-kind plugin. This may not be a problem, but still…

I like the fact that I can import/export them on the fly just like any post type.

This is one of those plugins that is absolutely essential to WordPress. Other CMS systems have this functionality by default, however wordpress is sadly missing it from the core. THANK YOU Hal Gatewood for providing this much needed plugin.

It works exactly the way I want it to. It’s prominent on the menu so it’s quick and easy to find. A very simple implementation that makes my life easy.
The only thing I wish it had was support for WP Bakery’s Visual Composer.

This is a fantastic plugin!
I had been waiting for this for years. I had been using the very very old plugin called post ender but that plugin had its weaknesses.
Text Blocks solved all issues: it’s solid, it accepts shortcodes, you can create as many different text blocks as you want.
Super convenient for instance to add a paragraph at the bottom of each of your posts / articles. You simply update your text block and all article conclusions gets updated.
Highly recommended! A huge thank you to the developer.

I use it a lot for reoccurring text snippets. It’s very handy.

This is an excellent plugin. Why don’t you sell it on Code Canyon? It might help you to continue supporting it, if it needs supporting as WordPress evolves.
Well done. Great job.

I use Page Builder by SiteOrigin.
With Text blocks, I can see the title of my block in Page Builder, what is very practical compared to other blocks builders.

I have a site where members have their own sub-pages. They can add extra pages, linked by a navbar at the top of each of their pages.
Keeping their page navigation up to date meant having to copy the navbar to every page when they created a new one.
Now they only have to update the reusable block. Excellent!

Thank you for making it possible to use custom content blocks in a simple and centralized way!

The plugin works fine on my default Make template, but not with the page builder plugin by Siteorigin.
I hope a future update will fix this ? then I will put five stars???

I lived that it generated and ID and an alias to call the content from.

The API of this plugin makes it very useful for theme Development – way easier to use this than to tell people where they find the text widget if they ever want to edit that text.

So nice to find plugin that just works like a charm “out of the box”. I was able hit the ground running. Big help. Huge time saver. Thanks so much!

Very intuitive, very powerful. Reusing repeated content is essential to keeping consistency throughout the whole website.
I wonder if there’s a way to somehow acces/output the featured image field value of this kind of custom post type?

This neat free plugin saved me a lot of custom programming!!!! Love it

I needed to add a customized text in the theme. This plugin does it. Simple to use. And I appreciate it uses the standard WordPress backend and has the ways of usage listed directly under the text area. Thanks.

The content generated by the shortcode doesn’t seem to be searchable by the default wordpress search function or the search everything plugin. Perhaps some other form of site search is needed? The plugin works great and was a smooth install, except if the content isn’t picked up in a search it seems not as useful for my purposes. In any case, cheers for a good functionality plugin!

Great plugin, just what I need. Too bad I can’t use it because it puts my sidebars all the way to the bottom of the site. Don’t know how to fix that.
