Hi,
As stated in the title: I’m using Chrome and OSX and the retina image gets displayed only after a refresh the very first time you load the page. After that it works okay, and Safari is able to show the retina image from the beginning. I’d like to know if you have a solution for that.
Thanks!
Best,
-Guillaume
Hi,
The plugin is simple and great. However, the high-res version only shows after a refresh every time I visit the site (for example on my iPad).
Is this a matter of cache? I’ve uploaded a high-res logo on:

Thank you!

]]>I have installed and am testing this plugin and while it is serving the correct images to retina and non-retina screens somehow the retina screens are not recognising that the retina-ready image they are being sent is already retina-ready so they are doubling its size (again) resulting in an image twice the necessary size. The example can be seen at the URL https://partito.draftsite.net.au. The top ‘PARTITO’ banner logo will have the URL of https://partito.draftsite.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/partito_logo3.gif
if viewed on a non-retina screen and has dimensions of 550 x 135 pixels. When viewed on a retina screen the URL being correctly served is https://partito.draftsite.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/[email protected]
however this image having dimensions of 1100 x 270 pixels is being displayed at twice its size i.e. the retina screen is not recognising that this is already a retina-ready image! What to do?
FOR THE DEVELOPER:
Thanks for the plugin – it works (almost) perfectly.
The “(almost)” is caused since it does not work on iOS 7 beta 2. I hope you’ll look into this so it’ll work perfectly when iOS 7 is released to the masses in the fall.
