Can you delete the nl_BE language file in the next release? Since, it makes some mistakes to the locale and because of the existence of the language file, it doesn’t update easily ??

How to fix this?
]]>Hi I’m trying to use the plugin on my site but I don’t detect any category. What could be the problem?
]]>how to restrict categories that user cant post in. such as there is a category that only admin can post in. list of categories: a,b,c
author x cannot post in category b
currently we have to select a and c for author x so that he can’t post in category b.
it would be so useful if we can select category b for this system. cause sometimes there are so many categories that we can’t select all of them to exclude only one.
Dear Chris,
My site is getting some of its contents through a XHR request to wp-admin/admin-ajax.php and your plugin keeps changing the terms query arguments.
I am using “The Gem” theme with WP Bakery plugin. Besides, in some pages I have added blocks such as “Post Grid” to load content from some categories. This block loads its contents through a XHR request to wp-admin/admin-ajax.php. However, your plugin always filters requested terms with the get_terms_args filter.
How about avoiding filtering requested terms when the user do not have any restricted categories or when the request has been received throught AJAX?
I have made a pull request with the required changes: https://github.com/chrisakelley/restricted-authors/pull/1
Yours sincerely,
Jesús ángel.
Hi Chris, this is a great plugin, and thanks for taking the time to make it.
I was hoping to use it on my site. The issue I’m running into is that I created a custom user role that has the same capabilities (plus added an extra one) as an Author role. When I test it with the Author role everything works fine, as soon as I test using on a user with this custom role, the Categories section disappears (when in Gutenberg).
I wonder how the plugin detects who should it hide the categories from and if there’s a way to target this by user capability.
]]>Is it possible to restrict an author to a specific product category? Or is there other free option that I could use?
Also, why it isn’t compatible with the recent update of wordpress.
Hi,
Thank you for your plugin, it’s useful.
But if I limit a user to some categories, he can’t choose any when creating an article because the cat list is empty. If user has no restrictions, we can see them all.
Another question: I need to limit categories to some custom roles (created with Members). Is this possible with your extension? If not, will it be?
Thank you.
]]>In WP 5.4, only dafult category shows up! can you please fix! love the plugin…
]]>Thanks for this Plugin I feel it would also be nice if it had the option to Restrict all authors from a specific category
And also able to exclude the author right to post content on a category
Reasons behind this are that if you have 3,000 Authors if your site grows you don’t wish to start going to individual author pages to exclude a category
