this slider is awesome

5 stars – simple installation, use of admin features, and the most important – it’s responive ??

Simple slide plugin that works and is simple to use. Worked better than any other for a simple rotating banner.

I see someone else couldn’t get the plugin to work a week ago and their support question remains unanswered so have just uninstalled it.

There are plenty of slider plugins to choose from. This one had just the features I wanted, nothing more, nothing less. The responsiveness works very nicely. Best of all, it uses standard WordPress features such as featured images and page order.

For me, it gets the job done.

Easy to use slider, however there aren’t too many settings and options. But it works great in our (non responsive) theme.

Perfect slider for just on the first page. Easy to install and to handle. Love it!

I’ve added 95 slides, but the slideshow loops after only 10. I wonder if I’ve done something wrong.

This a clean little plugin – easy to implement – best of all no jQuery conflicts like a couple of the previous plugins I had tried to implement.
Quick note to quickly hide the title of the slide add this CSS line to your stylesheet:
/*Hiding Title*/
.slide-title {
display:none
}

Does the job as intended. It would be nice if I could remove the links from the images though.

Would be 5 stars if can put more than 1 slider…but now it′s really great!
]]>Rating: 3 stars
It’s very slow to load. It loads last on the page, so for a few seconds my page has a big blank rectangle right in the middle.
Darn.

Works exactly as I wanted it to..
Thanks ??

If you need 1 flexible slider for display somewhere on the site, without needing to add or edit a lot of slides, this is a great plugin.
For most sites, it isn’t very useful since it offers only 1 slideshow at a time and it essentially creates a new custom post for each slide.
]]>Rating: 5 stars
easy and simple… not bloated with things I don’t need.
]]>Rating: 1 star
You can only make one slider? Useless.
]]>Rating: 4 stars
Would be awesome if you add a categories support to that slider .
]]>Rating: 3 stars
Using with WP3.5 it would not switch from slide to fade and would cut the bottom off images

really useful plugin that does what it says.
no big settings page or crapload of functions and themes.
only a responsive slider that is easy to customize.

Fits really nicely with Twitter-bootstrap.
Really nice job of using custom post types and metaboxes for the slides. I have been doing this with other sliders in WordPress, and this was a nice, sleek solution.
Easy to alter css within style, instead of altering the plugin source code.
Two thumbs up.

Pro’s
Con’s (and this could just be me)
Just wanted to update my review. I was directed to a post add-html-text-support-to-alien-wp-responsive-slider-wordpress-plugin which did allow me to more customize the text.. this plugin is now pure perfection
I should also point out that im using this with a them titled “Responsive” which is fantastic. I have tested it on 1 high end mobile device, and even a low end, and both took to the slider very well.

The recent updates requires you to use:
<?php echo do_shortcode['responsive_slider']
instead of
<?php do_shortcode['responsive_slider']
I suppose it would have been better to first check the changelog, but I had updated in bulk and didn’t notice the change. Ended up reverse engineering the plugin to figure it out before checking the changelog.
Developers, make sure you update your templates ?? I sure wasted a lot of time. Apparently the shortcode still works in posts, though I’m not using it that way. Currently running 3.5.1 btw and after updating the above code, the plugin is working.
4/5 for the stupid update wasting my time

Shows everything but the images . . . ??
]]>Rating: 1 star
I tried installing from the repository and from a zip file – never got the screen where you could name your slide show. The documentation on the site showed features that I did not get with the plugin. Could not use the plugin without being able to create different slide shows with unique short code.
