Hi, I’m trying to use your plugin with a site whose pages are loaded via AJAX. Initially the tooltips work but after one mouse rollout they stop working. Is there a jQuery/js reload/init code I could enter to restart the script on AJAX complete?

Hi,
The problem is the case where you plan to use tooltips to display a definition (or a comment) about a content which can occurs with same content in several places of your site.
In such case you wish to have to create and maintain the content once unique.
Currently I imagine two solutions, because I have not seen how to do it in current version :
1- use of a textwidget and is shortcode into html content of the tip :the problem is that if there are many texts (a glossary) textwidget is not designed for this and I am not sure that the html display can hold the shortcodes.
2- a tooltip database with “named tooltip” which should be displayed if you define the a parameter “name” which will replace the content.
What is your proposal ?

]]>When zooming in on the webpage by pinching on the touchscreen of a Chromebook, the tooltip no longer appears over the word, but in the lower right corner of the screen.
When zooming in using the ctrl + functionality, it continues to work fine. Any idea how to fix it for pinch-to-zoom?

This plugin is not working on my site. I don’t get the underlining and I get the default minimal tooltip bubble instead of the jquery one. Can you recommend a way to debug it?
UPDATE: This is now FIXED!
It WAS NOT the fault of this plugin, as far as I can tell.
For the benefit of anyone having a similar problem, I’ll explain. I was updating my wordpress install and some outdated plugins. When I tried to update the “Slimstat Analytics” plugin, the update seemed to crash. After that, “Responsive Mobile-Friendly Tooltip” stopped working correctly. I tried disabling all plugins (except the Tooltip) but it didn’t help. Then I completely uninstalled the “Slimstat Analytics” plugin and this tooltip plugin suddenly started working: it was fixed.
I can’t explain why this worked …perhaps someone else can explain it.

I’ve just seen a problem with the position of the small black arrow / triangle on smart devices. Because of its small screens the position of the tooltip can be above or below the tooltip link. But only at the position above the tooltip link the arrow is at the right position of the tooltip (and shows in the right direction). Opens the tooltip below the tooltip link we’d expect the arrow on top of the tooltip but it doesn’t. Here’s an example:

I am not asking how to add a tooltip to an anchor i need to add a anchor to the tooltip; so when i click on the tooltip or touch in on the mobile a tooltip window will popup with a anchor inside to external URL; the user will need to click / touch the link inside the tooltip to go to the desired address…

]]>I intalled RMFTooltip on both my local site & live site. The green tooltip button appears in my visual editor but nothing happens when I click it. Tried various browsers with no luck. Any know plugin conflicts or maybe I am missing something.
I assume that you highlight the word(or words) that you want the tooltip to pop-up when hovered, similar to inserting a hyperlink, then a pop-up window to insert the tooltip should appear once you click the green button? Am I doing something wrong?

If you cli8ck the Give tip or Give pledge option on the smartphone, the toll tip will pop up, however when taping the tool-tip to close it, the links below the tool tip are clicked as well as closing the tool tip. is there a way to stop this from happening? i have tried fiddling with the z-index and positioning but to no avail.

I’m running WP 4.1 and made the addition of wp_enqueue_script("jquery-ui-dialog"); to get green icon to work. However, neither that method or using the [tooltip tip=“tip”]word[/tooltip] code gives me a my tip text in the popup box. When I hover over it it says, “Add a tooltip text.” Tried on two websites.
It is also lacking the dotted underline of the text.
Otherwise, looks like a fantastic tool!

]]>Anyone know what’s up with changing the CSS? I followed the instructions on the main page of the plugin and altered responsive-tooltip.css. The changes didn’t take effect. For good measure I put the same CSS changes into responsive-tooltip.org.css, which is also part of the plugin and has the same structure as the main CSS file. The changes still didn’t take. So I put the whole CSS directly into my theme options. That worked. I’d prefer that they don’t stay there, however. Duplication of CSS content. Bloat.
