first thank You for this great plugin ! I love it ??

Here are few tips from me:

1. in settings page, at the bottom is typo “Disabe metabox”

2. can you in the same settings add few more words to people who don’t know what is metabox? like “Check if you don’t want to display the metabox when editing a post or a page.”

3. In “Active Fields” and “Required Fields” what is the field “Reason” ? I don’t see field with that name in the form itself. Maybe you can remove it, as it is unchangeable anyway?

4. PLEASE if possible add field “Issues” in the “Active Fields” and “Required Fields”, so we can hide it (I’m not using it) and even when I delete “Issues” field in Settings, the field is still in the form, but empty.

5. Can we have in the form just little bigger text field Details or option to change its size in Settings?

6. Can we have option to customize more the button for opening form? Like I want it just as text hyperlink, not rectangle, have an icon before the button text etc. Sure I can change it somewhere in css, but something more elegant in the Settings page.

Hello, i’m trying to use the plugin for my goals, but looks like it won’t work.

When i active it, it does show the Report button on Pages and Posts, but i have seperate function with pages from my theme that i’m adding embed videos there. For some reason the report button won’t show there. I will need help with that. Thanks.

I did a test report and everything worked great. The only problem is that the message box after submission never closes. There is no x to close it and it does not close automatically. You have to click on the report content button again to close the form. How can I make that close automatically so the user does not have to click the button again? thanks.

Trying to make your plugin work with Buddypress Members profiles but it just puts the sites base url/homepage in the emails and on the report it says Post not found.

Any chance its a quick fix as the plugin seems great otherwise.

your plugin will be definittely abused by strange people without a captcha.

I am using the WordPress Report Content Plugin. I want to change the email address where the reports are sent. In the Reports->Settings->email settings section there is a section that says
“On getting a new report send email to”. There is a dropdown menu with choices No one, Post Author, Blog administrator, Author and administrator.

Where do I go to check the email settings for blog administrator and administrator? Are these the WordPress administrator settings or is there a seperate Report Content Plugin administrator setting?

I saw this thread with the identical Topic Title as the one I’m posting now with the exact same issue I’m posting here and now.

After I set up the plugin as requiring users to login to submit a report, admin does not get to see the username of the reporter at the backend, which really cancels out the requirement of logging in.

From the linked thread, which was posted 2-3 years ago, I got the impression the plugin author seemed reluctant to add the feature of showing the reporter’s username at backend, which I really need. Just wondering if the author will now consider to add this feature?

If not, can anyone help me with this, please? I’m using a child theme so advise based on that will also be very helpful just in case of an update. Thank you.

Is there another reason that could cause this error?

Can anyone recommend similar plugin?

It’s obvious the author of this one isn’t going to update or support it anymore so I had to remove it from my site.

I have found nothing else similar to it.

2.Each reported post should have a counter to display the frequency at which a particular post has been reported (e.g post reported 20times)

I only want my members to be able to report so I set it up requiring login to report. But even with such setting, the reporter still need to fill up their names, and their username did not appear at all. What that also means is that they can use anybody’s name to report, including other member’s username. So it seems to me this setting does not really do anything. Am I missing something here and did’t do it right?

I really like this plugin so I hope i am wrong.

Is it possibel to set a default setup for a multisite? Maybe add to a functions file that has the settings the same throughout every site?

Sweet plugin, working nicely out of the box.

One important factor is failing though. The reporter field in the reports is empty. Having this be a link to the front-end user profile is essential for any reporting functionality to work as expected. This could even be an admin option (track reporter = TRUE|FALSE), but it still needs to be shown unless expressly disabled.

Otherwise, very good.

There is an option requiring that the user have to be logged in to report. Considering that most of the users access through the smartphone, it would be very useful if the fields, name and email could be filled automatically with the user data. That would make it much easier.

Good evening, I’d like admin and author to receive the email address and name of the person submitting the report as well as perhaps IP address. Where is the list of short codes?

I just recently installed Geo Directory and purchased their Genesis theme 1280 and have it installed at https://bizzaquerque.com. They recommended your plug in as something to use to allow users to suggest edits, but it’s not working. If you can provide any guidance or assistance to help get the issue resolved that would be awesome as a directory based site really needs the functional capabilities your plug in offers.

Thank you for this useful plugin.
I have a problem though. I activated the plugin for posts and pages. It can retrieve url from posts, but not from pages. So if somebody reports something from a page, I don’t know where the report comes from. It shows “Post Not Found” in the Dashboard.
Any idea how it can be fixed ?

I like this plugin and so far as I can see it works well with my theme. I only wish it had captcha or recaptcha on the form. Akismet isn’t enough for form anti-spam protection.

I would pay for a pro version of this plugin if it had the option to use captcha or recaptcha built in.

I have tried many ways to implement recaptcha but was unsuccessful.
