Just install it and it will automatically remove the custom post slug from the post urls. Lovely <8

It works OK, but when I uninstalled it broked my site (404 or redirect errors). I had to reset my htaccess file to make things work again.

A nice and simple plugin that gets the job done of removing the slug of your custom post type from the permalink.

Thanks for the plugin. Are you planning to update it with multilingual support as well?

I just stumbled over the problem that i needed to remove the slugs for custom post types on a very simple website with not too many pages. I tried out a few things but always had odd behavior where either the custom or the default post types didn’t show up anymore. All the problems disappeared when i activated this plugin. Thanks!

Hogs CPU. Seems culprit is public function rewrite_rules.
Actually works but had to diable it.

Thought I might give it a try, even though it is already 2+ years old.
Worked like a charm.
Need to change my posts to “portfolio” items, but that would add the “portfolio” suffix, which would mess up my already indexed links in Google. This removed it like a charm <3
Thanks!

This plugin didn’t work on sub-page page, e.g.
= this display page not found
https://www.domain.com/custom-post-url//subpage-post-url/
= this works fine on first or parent page
https://www.domain.com/custom-post-url/
I only give two for the plugin development and still not usable on my end.

One star less, because it removes the slug from all custom posts. Would be nice if I could choose which one I want to be removed.
