I needed to temporarily hide some shortscodes and this plugin works great but… it has also hidden the Rank Math FAQ blocks which are not orphaned, obviously.
I hope that in the next update it will be corrected. Fingers crossed.

Any gutenberg block storing an array in block attributes JSON is flagged as a shortcode. As most blocks using JSON attributes also use render_callback and server-side rendering, this causes the block to disappear entirely – broken JSON is hard to parse.
Ergo, don’t use this if you also use ACF, because any repeater or relationship field in a block can cause the entire thing to disappear.

Why would anyone want to leave a useless plugin after the cleaning? Make it so it cleans and can be deleted. Otherwise what’s the point? SMH

Does what it promises and never has created problems. Recommended.

Great plugin which comes of use when migrating content. Why is this stuff not in WP core??

It only works while the plugin is activated. Just hides the shortcodes instead removing them :S

Perfect! In a development phase where some half-backed features are temporary disabled or if you disable plugins when troubleshooting, you might end up with unsightly shortcodes here and there. Of course you can ask a client just to ignore it, but its hard for them to focus with shortcodes scattered around. I really like that I can disable my Ajax Search, Forms, Tables, Related Posts etc temporarily without any trace on the front-end. Thanks!

This is a REALLY useful plug-in.
Has this ever happened to you … you update a plug-in and the updated version had a bug which stopped it working. This can leave hundreds of [shortcodes]littered around your site’s pages [/shortcodes] making it look ugly and unprofessional.
This happened to me today. So I searched for a way to quickly hide the broken shortcodes while I decide whether to restore my site to a previous version or wait for the broken update to be fixed. I found, installed and activated this plugin. Then spent a while trying to find the configuration/options page. I couldn’t find it. So I checked my site … and all the broken shortcodes had gone. My site looked good again! The reason why there isn’t an options page is that it doesn’t need one – this plug-in … just … works!
Thanks @meks for writing this plug-in — you saved my site from looking rubbish ??
