Thanks for this plugin. It works with the Hestia theme, which is great.

However, I don’t want the Biographical Info removed, and have no need to remove the admin colour scheme setting. Is there a way to disable this please?

When I installed this plugin, my entire comment system has been removed. The comment system even didn’t get back when I deleted the plugin. What should I do? Please help me. My theme name is betheme.

pretty cool you built this and it works perfectly. Tried a couple others that didn’t help much.

The only thing I still wonder about is why anyone would like to remove those fields:

• Personal Options section (Visual Editor, Admin Color Scheme, Keyboard Shortcuts, Toolbar & Admin Language)
• About Yourself section (Biographical Info)

Is it possible to make this optional? I’m using the Biographical Info to have it shown under the blog post on my blog, so the readers can get to know a bit more about the author of the post.

I received notification of an update this morning which I allowed to install on two of my sites. They appeared to go OK – however, when I subsequently went to these sites they were down!

The sites displayed the following error –

Plugin remove_fields not installed yet, run the composer install command on a terminal from within the plugin directory and activate the plugin again from the plugins page.

I immediately thought what the ‘ell does that mean run the composer install commands? I’ve never seen anything like it.

The only thing I could do is open an ftp browser and delete the remove_fields folder which thankfully brought my sites back online.

What happened? Surely it wasn’t intended?

This plugin removed the entire comment box for my site. It flashes for a second and then nothing. Im using Wp3.8.

The “personal options” area of the profile editor is removed when you install this plugin. This makes it impossible to see the toolbar on the front end of the site, and I lose the ability to modify how my interface looks.

It also conflicts with Facebook’s official WordPress plugin, since the checkbox for posting to my timeline is gone as well (because it’s in the personal options area of the profile editor.

Any fix for this?

finally a plug-in to remove AIM, Jabber.. gone! thanks! BUT still doesn’t remove the ‘Bio Box’ in ‘About Yourself’
