I spent hours trying to remove the Email box from the comment form. I couldnt find the field anywhere in the CSS or other file. I did a search and found this plugin. It worked as soon as I activated it.

The plugin didn’t work, the email field still there. Don’t waste your time. Tested with WP 4.2
