[Feb-28, 11am PT] UPDATE: Like a lot of web apps and websites today, our plugin is experiencing some lagging and difficulties due to Amazon’s current S3 outage. As soon as Amazon resolves the issue the plugin should be back to normal. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you would like to keep track of Amazon’s progress, they are posting updates at https://status.aws.amazon.com/
]]>Every time I have used this plugin, it has messed with my code. Here is what I mean: When I write posts, I’ll find the my text will start suddenly appearing at the bottom of the page. I could not add outbound links. And if I try to correct this, I’ll find my code at the top of a post/page become distorted. And now, when I worked on a draft the other day, I found that I could not add outbound links. I want to use this plugin but I am uncomfortable doing so because of what it has always done to my linking and code structure.

I would like to use this plugin without it altering my linking and code. Is that possible?

]]>I installed and tried to configure this plugin on both my sites. It uploaded most of my articles for one of my sites but only a few articles for me other site. And while the plugin appears on the backend of my posts, the search feature does not work on either of my sites. When I type in a keyword, “Update” will try to load and abruptly stop. Consider updating this plugin so it works with 4.7.2.

In my local works perfect, I got below error in my dev server, I could change the configuration.
Error:
You have no Zemanta API key and the plugin was unable to retrieve one. You can still use Zemanta, but until the new key is successfully obtained you will not be able to customize the widget or remove this warning. You may try to deactivate and activate the plugin again to make it retry to obtain the key.
NOTE : As per the recommendation, I deleted the plugin and install again those steps I did many times.
]]>Hi.
I’ve created a couple of new sidebars to use on other areas of my website and I just realized that I can’t use plugin widget in more than 1 sidebar. The widget just dissapears of the widgets list once you drag it to the first sidebar.
How can I use the widget multiple times?
]]>Hi, is there a way to show related posts based on category? Right now, the related posts are showing posts from a variety of categories.
thanks
The related posts plugin works very well.
It would be great to make possible to define above margin / padding when the block is immediately after the post, since the title block “glues” with the end of post. It can be defined for any style the user chooses, like a fine control that adjusts the distance between the end of post and the beginning of Related Posts title.
Thanks in advance.
]]>I can not get the default image to show up on posts that do not have a featured image. I have tried .png, .gif, .jpg at various sizes all being at least 150px X 150px

I have deactivated all plugins from the site.
When I go into setting and click on Advanced settings, the options for setting the display type… “Pinterest Inspired” are gone
I deleted and reinstalled the plugin. Same problem
Thanks
Hi,
i’ve managed thanks to your answers to others in trouble to get the plugin working on custom post types but my problem is that it is not using the custom post categories to recommend posts from those categories.
is there anything i can do in the editor mode to fix this?
thanks.
]]>For some reason the Related Content that normally appears at the bottom of the article has disappeared.
It went away two days ago, but there were no updates or plugin updates on our site which is very odd.
In the past, this would disappear for a day but never for several days like this. It normally would also show related links to Wikipedia or other authority sites and those have disappeared to.
Has this been take away or just a glitch?
Thank you!
]]>First of all, this is one of the best related posts plugin I’ve been using so far.
But i’d like some info: can I set up and/or configure any criteira (tags, title, categories) for related psots to be shown?
My website supports multilanguage and it is showing related posts from language “X” to users on language “Y”
Any idea on this? Thanks!
Hi,
I’d like to change the colour of the related post hover colour (when hovering its a very pale lilac colour) to something more in tune with my site colours.
Can you point me in the right direction to the file containing the colour so I can change it?
]]>Hi,
I have very strange bug with Related Posts on my blog.
I have related posts block after post content. For example, this page:
https://life-thai.com/kak-dobrat-sya-do-chernogorii-deshevo-samolyotom-ili-poezdom/ When you scroll down you see it. But somehow urls for related posts are generated wrong. It takes url of post and addes to it part of related post url without domain.
For example I want make post https://life-thai.com/viza-v-chernogoriyu/ related to the https://life-thai.com/kak-dobrat-sya-do-chernogorii-deshevo-samolyotom-ili-poezdom/ But it will generate url https://life-thai.com/kak-dobrat-sya-do-chernogorii-deshevo-samolyotom-ili-poezdom/viza-v-chernogoriyu/
How to fix it? Google already has found more than 40 such broken links on my blog.
Thank you for the wonderful added

]]>Hi,
The related posts for every post have started always appearing as the same six posts, even though they are unrelated. I have tried changing them manually (previously it happened automatically) but they always revert back to the same six posts.
I’d be grateful for your help with this.
Thanks.
Hello,
First of all thank you very much for builing this plugin, I just installed it and works as expected. Showing related posts automatically and I am satisfied the way its working.
The only thing not working is Real time analytics, I looked through all the areas in WordPress admin panel but couldn’t figure out where it shows the analytics, really interested to see analytics and that’s why I chose this plugin at first place.
Please respond as soon as possible.
Thanks,
DM

Also, the title box is sticking out from my page, is there a way to reduce the width?
Thanks
]]>The plugin seems to be working perfectly. This trouble we are having is that we received an invoice from Getty Images in the post/mail for the use of an image that was used by another website and became a thumbnail linking to the other website under our article through the use of the Related Posts plugin.
We are not using the image ourselves and it cannot even be seen clearly as it is a picture of a section of forest that when shrunk to the thumbnail size looks like a green box.
It never entered our heads that we would be seen as a user and billed for the image. The bill is quite large. We have taken the blog down now to avoid future issues such as this.
Has anybody come across this before?
Any recommendations about how to proceed?
]]>Hi,
This plugin is working great for us, thanks! But I’m having an issue with the ‘Related’ section not showing up on some posts.

Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.
]]>First off, I need to say this plugin rocks, it was everything I was looking for..
But after using it for a few weeks I realized I am now out of hard drive space…
I have about 400 sites running wordpress, each with several thousand images…
The problem is, this plugin appears to be creating like 3 or more copies of each file. It resizes them into different sized thumbs.. and disregards what I have in the media settings. (set to 0x0 to disable them)
Is there a way to make it only do one size?
i.e.: the only size that is necessary is 150×150..
My problem is, my server is now almost out of disk space because an additional 8,400,000 images have been created…
(figuring 400 wp installs * 7,000 images each * 3 additional copies of the same image= 8,400,000 images created when only less than 3 million small 150×150 images are needed, this results in over 5 million larger resized images eating up all of my hard drive space).
Whenever I try to delete the larger resized images, they are regenerated.. (And cleaning up the extra 5 million plus is going to be a real task).
If there was a way to select what size images should be and should not be generated, it would make this plugin perfect..
]]>Images not being detected.
On my wordpress blog, of the posts that have images only some are being detected.
e.g. https://www.brendanpaull.com/index.php/2010/02/10/bicycle-odometer-50000km/
Note the following two related posts that both have images both hosted on Flickr.
– Nissan Skyline 250GT
– Cherry Blossoms in Tokyo
Only the cheery blossoms image is detected and displayed. What can I do so that the Nissan image is also detected.
Also, if I go back to a post and add an image, will Related Posts detect it?
Thanks,
Brendan

]]>Hi, I would like to use your plugin, but I can’t get it to use the right image. It takes the first big image, which is the same header on each page.
It should take the second image, which is places before the text on each post.
Is there a way to make this work? I cannot make the image featured, because that makes it show really big on top of the post page.
]]>The plugin was active when I started working with it today. Each time I try to do anything with it, it redirects me back to my Blog homepage without affecting any change.
1) I tried to update it, but each time I tried I was redirected back to my blog home page. 2) I decided to reinstall the plugin, but couldn’t deactivate it through the plugin page interface in my WordPress Admin in order to delete it.
3) I FTPed into my site and manually deleted the plugin directory then reinstalled the plugin. It installed, but I can’t activate it – it redirects me back to my home page each time.
4) I tried to install the WordPress Related posts plugin (which I understand is similar). The plugin installed, but I could not activate it – same redirect back to my blog home page.
5) I tried to delete the installed but not activated Related Posts plugins, but was redirected back to the home page.
The 2 Zemanta plugins are the only ones experiencing this issue. I’ve been able to update, activate, deactivate, and delete all other plugins. Any idea what might be causing this?
]]>Hi guys
Just a quick query as I’m having trouble overwriting the CSS already marked !important? I have marked all the attributes with !important again but having no luck.
In particular, I’m wanting to change the margin on ul.related_post li which is currently styled “margin: 10px 10px 10px 0px !important”.
Thanks in advance!
