I installed WordFence plugin on one of my client’s site and he is complaining that the bounce rate has increased too much. Is there some settings I need to do in WordFence plugin to allow Reduce Bounce Rate to work properly.

I have been using this plugin for 1n half a month before my bounce rate was 73% but now it increased to 78%. I think I did the wrong settings. am using Site kit plugin rather than the analytics code.

How do you replicate this plugin in Google Tag Manager?

The plugin doesn’t work with Google’s global site tag gtag.js. It still works with analytics.js. I’m still using this plugins on all of my sites.

But I don’t have time to make it work for gtag.js and I don’t want to put effort in it and paying someone to do this for me.

As long as you use analytics.js you’ll be fine, but I’m going to use Google Tag Manager for new sites from now on.

Would this plugin be able to work with Google Tag Manager (GTM)?

I have GTM installed and also Monster Insights too at the moment, but would like to deactivate Monster Insights as not really needed.

Unsure if Tracking code options available (analytics.js (Recommended) or ga.js) would work as the GTM code defers this code.

Any help appreciated.

Since I installed the plugin my bounce rate dropped to 13% and the average time on page went up to 23 minutes.
It’s a blog with 2.5k word articles.

I’ve got scroll event on and event fired every 20sec.

Does it mean I’m good or is there something strange? ??

Love the plugin! I’ve got two quick questions.

1. Google Analytics is giving me some anomaly warnings regarding my bounce rate. Does that sound normal? It is currently at 8.38%, down from around 80%. Is that right? Here is the GA message:

Anomaly Detected: Your Bounce Rate of 8.67% last week was lower than forecast
We forecast Bounce Rate of 9.95%-80.32% for Apr 30 – May 6, 2018, and your actual Bounce Rate of 8.67% is significantly lower than this range.

2. In regards to GDPR compliancy, does this plugin have any impact on sending EU IPs or anything like that. I don’t really understand the GDPR, but thought you guys might know if this plugin affects anything.

Since your plugin does not work with gtag yet, I’m using Google Analytics Dashboard for WP and the tracking type is set to analytics.
The Reduce Bounce Rate plugin settings are default with tracking code set as analytics.js
but there is no reduction in bounce rate at all (it’s around 85%). I have used this plugin for a couple of years on this site and it was reducing the bounce rate to below 20%.
Can you assist?

At the moment there is no support for the latest Analytics tracking code. I am working on that.

With the next release I will also try and fix the issues that were mentioned below.

Plugin installed and activated but not working. No code in footer (or header).
