Jan 2019 UPDATE:
Yumprint has been down AGAIN for about a couple of months. This is not the first time this has happened. Clearly they are not interested in maintaining the website, making this plugin worthless. Because of their lack of attention to keep it up and running, I give this plug 0 stars now.
PREVIOUS REVIEW when things were working:
Mostly I like this plugin but they are a few problems:
1) The save doesn’t work and just opens up a blank box with no reason for it not working.
2) It is incompatible with AMP so any site using it will not be able to get AMP SEO advantages for phone queries in Google.
3) Others claim they don’t like their recipes going on the Yumprint site. I don’t mind that at all. It can give my client a lot of exposure on the Yumprint site, if people can find it there, that is. I can’t. So while it may be stored there in their database, I’m not sure they make it visible unless you purposely post it there. I’d love to know if I’m wrong though.
4) It helps SEO. My client is #1 for many recipes and the same recipe on Yumprint’s site is nowhere to be found in search. In another search for a recipe, another Yumprint client was #1.
I lived with #1 for a long time. I can’t live with #2 though as SEO rank is everything for my client using this. And now since Google is showing preference for AMP sites, this is imperative. I hope Yumprint catches up or we’ll probably have to leave.

The Recipe Card Plugin won’t save…returned error that I needed to contact them at their email address which I did and received no response. Tried to go to their website to see if there was another avenue of support and their website down…Are they still around?

Starting yesterday I m not able to save recipe cards.
Its throwing an error and asking me to send support toemail.
So did and also posting in forums.
Is it related with WP 4.6.1 upgrade?
TIA

This is by far the nicest, most customizable recipe cards for WordPress but I did, unfortunately, have to go with another option because -depending on the browser used- the print feature glitches. The menu in the pop up window does not look very professional as options (fonts) overlap and the “print image: on/off” option doesn’t function altogether.

Just giving 4 star because the lack of translation abilities. BTW it works like charm on WP 4.4.2

This plugin steals recipes. It copy every recipes you publish from our site to the yumprint.com. There is no option to disable that.
On top of everything plugin is buggy. When yumprint.com is down you can’t save recipes. When you insert recipe you can’t edit article anymore until you resave it.

Terrible plugin! Caused a lot of server issues.

I have been testing about every available recipe-plugin, and for me this one was the best.
It was easy to localize the po-file, the lay-out can be easily adapted to much the overall theme design.

This plugin is very buggy for me. When I add a recipe to a post, the post becomes completely un-editable except in text mode. Visual mode becomes broken to the point where I cannot use the delete key to make changes to the text of the post itself or add images or paragraphs or anything.
Also, as of the last couple of days, all my recipes have just disappeared from my blog. They’re just gone. I can still see them in the post editor, but they don’t show up on my pages at all. Now I have to go back and write all the recipes down and paste them into a totally new plugin. This will take ages. ??

I have a problem,I cannot insert read more tag,need help.I’ll give 5 stars if the issue will be sorted.

All the function in the plugin must past through your website,
Like save the recipe, share the recipe, give review…..
Not support RTL version of wordpress.
can add more than picture…..

After install this plugin, and test on structured data testing tools i have 6 error markup on prep time, cook time, and total time (you have double markup code). i think google can’t read cause you forgot to typing time markup on your coding.
your code source:
if (!empty($prep_time)) {
echo <<<HTML

$prep_time_text

$prep_time

HTML;
}
tray to add time markup like this:
if (!empty($prep_time)) {
echo <<<HTML

$prep_time_text

$prep_time

HTML;
}
i hope you can fix this plugin for another user ??

This plugin is easy enough to use, until I want to edit the rest of the content in a post. It completely freezes WordPress! I can get it to respond by switching to another tab and back again, but still I’m unable to edit text in my posts unless I delete the recipe first. So, sure, it works as long as your post is completely finished before you add a recipe. But that’s not good enough, when there are other apps that work much better.

The plugin looks nice and works well enough. apart from the nutritional fact which is a disaster and there’s no way to personalize that.
I run my blog in three languages for which CodeStyling Localization. I expected the plugin to be automatically translated because that’s what I found in the few responses I found.
I contacted the support for this problem and while I had explained everything and they said (after a long time) I need to use localization! So I replied I am already using it as I had stated. I asked for some detailed info to maybe guide through, in case I wasn’t doing something necessary. The (late) answer was again to use localization with the correct language files! Which I know that I already am, since everything else, other plugins included, are well translated.
No more answers received and weeks have past.

This is by far the easiest way to implement a recipe solution on your WordPress blog/website. And it is free.
But I am willing to pay if there is an option for other users to post their own recipes. Pardon me if I have not seen this option but is there one available?
Thank you to the devs!

Awesome. It’s free my lot of works.

My first plugin rating and it had to be Recipe Card because it’s just so user friendly! There are *so* many customisation options – borders, colours, font, stats, review system – and all without having to learn to code.
LOVE this plugin and will recommend to others.

This is a very cool plugin. thank you for your password.
However, I have a little problem – the nutritional values ??are not displayed. I give the composition in my mother tongue and it is not properly recognized.
(sorry for my english)
Rating: 2 stars
Here is the good I like the formatting I love the nutrition info…
I am even ok with you listing my recipes actually I want you too. Just make sure you list the full recipe my descriptions and notes are vital to making the recipe work. And are not shown on the Yumiprint side. (NOT GOOD)
The major copyright issue is that you list my recipes without attribution to the original site. More importantly the descriptions and notes are missing too!
Without that attribution your open to legal action as the copyrights are not respected. And more importantly I am open to legal action because the atrubutions I made to other authors, in recipe card,is laking on Yumiprint.com
Guys I am not asking for much just list my full recipe notes description and attributions to the original blogs and author. Do that and your welcome to resell my content (that why you really made this plug in in the first place)

This plugin is simply amazing! So many colours and fonts to choose from, it’s like a dream come true ?? + it’s FREE!

I’ve been through them all. AND it’s free. Had a few set up Q’s. Got answers same or next day.

This plugin is ultimately was I was looking for. Very flexible design and lots of functionality. But the only way to use the plugin is to link to yumprint. It doesn’t make any sense to my company to put recipes outside our own website.
We would love to pay for this plugin, if it were possible to unlink from yumprint.
So five stars for the plugin itself and its functionalities, one star for the impossibility to tweak out yumprint. Total: three stars.
Keep up the great work and feel free to communicate with us if a premium version of the plugin (allowing not to redirect web traffic outside of the website) is implemented.

In my opinion, it’s one of the best plugins out there that will allow you to display your recipes in the way that you want. I was frustrated over other plugins’ lack of freedom for customizing but I did not find that same problem here. It’s also extremely easy to use and it will help you produce a very beautiful recipe card that looked like it took ages to code!
Not only that but the support is very good as well. I got a very helpful and detailed response to my queries from Chris.
I just wish the yield box could be improved to just accepting and showing a number though, so that we could indicate specific yields with pan sizes and such. I also hope the print version will allow a thumbnail of the recipe on the upper right corner. But all in all, very very happy I came across this plugin!

I installed this plugin and watched my entire site slow to a crawl.
Nutritional facts are inaccurate and uneditable.
Just based on the slowness alone though (it takes a full minute from clicking “edit” to actually editing the recipe), I had to delete it.
I can’t recommend this plugin to anyone. Hopefully they update it soon.

Had some customization questions and Chris was amazing. He emailed back in minutes and on the weekend. He went above and beyond the support I expected from a free plugin. Definitely recommend using this plugin. The support is amazing and it’s easy to customize.

I am in love with this app. I love how easy it is to use, and how customizable it is, including allowing the ability to easily incorporate my site’s colors, font styles etc.
Best of all, the tech support for the app is great! I ran into an issue and Chris went out of his way to help me, and was super-responsive to all my requests.
I’m ecstatic to be using Recipe Card on my site.

Phenomenal! This has taken my website recipe cache from so-so to awesome: it’s user-friendly, presents content beautifully, and is a great way to store content in an easy-to-access place.
