Another freemium plugin that’s not even do what it’s advertise.
Stopped after about 30% of regeneration process, told me to rate the plugin and did not even allowed me to regenerate missing sizes – i need to regenerate all of them.
Most of the features are blocked under paywall.
That’s not the proper way of introducing your product.

Before you can use the plugin, you are FORCED to agree to send technical data to the developer, which is against WordPress terms! They do this by forcing you to agree to check a box saying that you have read the Privacy Policy, which I don’t mind, AND agree to sending technical data to the developer, because both are included on the same check box, and if you don’t check the box, the plugin won’t work!
The stupid thing is that the plugin itself works okay, so if it weren’t for this coercion, and then nagging me to leave a rating for the plugin, I would have been more than happy to check out the Pro version, instead they have lost a potential customer AND got a 1-star review from me.

Ich war schon verzweifelt. Kein anderes Tool hat funktioniert, nach dem Theme Wechsel… die anderen brachen immer wieder ab… habe nun mehere Tage an diesem Mist gehangen… doch mit dem hier habe ich meine ~17.000 Bilder für das neue Theme erzeugt. Funktionierte einfach! DANKE!

I was able to regenerate several thumbnails using the free version. Everything worked smoothly and as expected. I’m sure the Pro version would be worth it if I needed to regenerate all my thumbnails or do something more complicated.

Today I had to change the topic on a customer website. The new themes have different thumbnail sizes. So I had to regenerate all thumbnails. But it was more difficult than expected, because most plugins broke when I tried to regenerate several thousand images… but this one did the job without any problems. Devowl guys, why do you have a good solution for every problem? ??

This review is for the Premium version! The task was to migrate a Joomla! page to WordPress and the customers were not happy with WordPress′ media file management. They used to create a physical folder per blog post, add the images for this post and create a slider out of all images in this folder. WordPress had to be tricked into that sort of media management with the help of @mguenter′s plugins “Real Media Library” (free) “Physical Custom Upload Folder” (premium) and Real Thumbnail Generator” (premium). What is special about this plugin? There are a few plugins out there that allow generation of a physical upload folder within /wp-content/uploads. The thing is: WordPress automatically generates thumbnails for every image within the folders and adds them to the folder. So, the sliders contain not only the images themselves, but the thumbnails as a “bonus”. This plugin allowed me to generate the thumbnails in a sub-folder, so they are not added to the sliders. Yay! Works perfectly well, saved me some coding time and is, as far as I found, the only plugin to do so.
