Automatic sorting of physical folders
Is there a function that will auto-sort and auto-upload images for each custom post type into an image folder that matches that custom post type?
Each custom post type is created with ACF
Create a folder for each custom post type
When you upload an image to that custom post type, it will automatically be uploaded to a folder with the same name.
Hi There, I have bought “Real Media Library” more than year ago everything was good, yesterday I have published my site, but today I’m not able to see any folders or files in my Library (even though I can see (All files (with small grey circle showing 800+ items) the same for (Uncategorized folder) but I cant access any file or folder with the blue sticker saying “No folders found”!
Please advise
When I have Real Media Library (Lite) activated, there are some (about 25) extra scripts loaded at the bottom of the frontend pages.
While these scripts seem unrelated to the plugin (coming from the wp core), they only appear when i have rml activated. I think those scripts should only be loaded in the admin.
Here is a screenshot of what i see: https://ibb.co/60tkw5Hr
The version of the plugin is 4.22.29
The version of wordpress is 6.7.2
It looks like the media library lost the connection to the folders.
All files seem to be still present and so are the tables in the DB. t3s_realmedialibrary
still lists the folder names and t3s_realmedialibrary_posts
still has references to files.
Is there a way to “reconnect” or repair the folder? I’m not eager to sort all files again.
Browser console says:
The response of https://website.de/wp-json/realmedialibrary/v1/tree?_v=4.22.29&_locale=user contains unexpected JSON, try to resolve the JSON line by line…
Object { body: "" }`

Of course, the JSON is just empty.

Please brighten my day and tell me there is still a chance, not everything is FUBAR.

Hello, unfortunately my media library no longer shows any images, so I deactivated the “Real Media Library(free)”. After deactivating the plugin, the media library works again. I think it could be due to the latest update that came out 2 days ago. It always worked before. Unfortunately, it no longer works. What can I do?
Greetings and thanks

We suddenly get the message “It looks like you’ve already used another plugin for folders in the media library. Start importing Dismissed” (translated from Dutch).
But nothing was changed apart from auto-updates of plugins.
We can send a screenshot if needed.
What should we do?
On a few websites i use Real Media Library Free for a long time now and never had any problem.
Today i found that when i had Divi Visual Builder enabled (front side editing) i could not change or load an image in the image module. When i click the plus sign in an image module i’m not redirected to the media library to select an image.
As a workaround i could edit the page via WordPress Page Edit with the Divi Builder.
I have no idea when this issue started but it occurs on all my websites where i use Real Media Library. After diasbling the pluin everything works fine.
Hello!
This is certainly a weird one! I’m not sure if there will be anything you can do about it but we wanted to flag it anyways. It is a twofold issue:
https://i.postimg.cc/9M4vGgDx/Nashua-page-two-of-products.png
https://i.postimg.cc/CKr3npxB/image.png
https://i.postimg.cc/C1W9JCDw/media-library.png
It seems like this wouldn’t be an issue with the Real Media Library plugin, however we have no errors or warnings in WP related to images or WooCommerce, and the only thing that seemed to fix the issue is deactivating the Real Media Library plugin. We weren’t sure if there was something maybe in the process of Real Media Library retrieving and organizing images from the database that may be causing these sorts of intermittent outages or if a reverse proxy may interrupt the functionality with Real Media Library somehow?
Any help or insight is appreciated!

The goal is to organize and simplify post media management for a very large online business directory site. The directory plugin we are using uses the wordpress gallery shortcode but all images are uploaded using standard wordpress media structure and is a mess.

Hello,
I have a pre-sale question.
I have a client who would like to be able to sort/filter images bij name in alphabetical order.
Is there a way to achieve this with this plugin?
Kind regards,
Carmelo
I am using the free version of Real Media Library and when I use rml_folder=21 which the url of library folder I get a No Posts message. I have worked round it by assigning a unique category to the pdf files in the folder e.g [medialist globalitems=1 mediatype=pdf category=BuildingInspection style=ml-white] however, as I cannot bulk assign the category. The only bulk action that is shown is Delete so it seems I need to edit each file to assign the category.
Otherwise the plugin seems great for what I need and so please I found it as I’d like to use it elsewhere to automatically add files to our archive lists.

Description: I am currently facing an issue with the Real Media Library (Free) plugin on my WordPress website. The problem occurs when selecting folders in the media library, as the plugin’s modal window appears in the background, causing inconvenience for users.
Steps to Reproduce:
Expected Behavior: The modal window of the Real Media Library (Free) plugin should appear in the foreground, allowing users to interact with it seamlessly.
Actual Behavior: The modal window appears in the background, making it difficult for users to engage with the plugin’s features effectively.
This issue hinders the user experience, and I am seeking a solution or workaround to ensure that the Real Media Library (Free) plugin’s modal window consistently appears in the foreground during folder selection in the media library.
Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter.

I updated to php 8.2 and noticed the error: Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property MatthiasWeb\RealMediaLibrary\folder\Root::$owner is deprecated in \wp-content\plugins\real-media-library\inc\folder\Creatable.php on line 66 pop up.
Can I just ignore that, or should I wait for an update before using Real Media Library again?
Thank you

Hi,
Is it possible to switch how the folders are listed?
Current order is oldest folder at the top and newest folder at the bottom.
For ease of use, I would like to see newest folders first and oldest last.

also, I put this as text:

END IF;
END WHILE;
RETURN sTemp;
END
Is it possible to hide the folder tree, except specific folders?
I try to allow a role only to select images only from one or more folders.
How can I open a folder for selected users? I read something about default_folder or rml_folder?
Hello
I’m having an issue and Im using real media library plugin and the real physical media plugin.
It seems that at some point this plugin has stopped working as expected and I have duplicates and broken image connections.
#1. Broken LINKS-
It seems that image are being disconnected when I edit folder name or move a folder. Some Images on the front end of my website are disconnected and broken, while others in the same folder are not broken.
When I use “media sync plugin” it shows images which are in file manager in cpanel, and not in media manager. And this shows images that are duplicated and are in 2 folder locations in the file manager.
The disconnected images are displaying a blank thumbnail in media player.
#2. It seems I have 11,000 images on my server that are not represented in the media library(per media sync plugin)
So at this point Im wondering if there is a way to reconnect the images with the blank thumbnail. And THEN delete all the duplicated images that are in file manager.
Some of these image in file manager are webp files created by litespeed plugin. And backup images. Im not using these images anymore, and I want to delete them. However they are disconnected from the media library. And Im not sure the proper way to go about deleting them.
If you look at the console, you will see the Real Media Library throwing this error:
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘)’ (at real-media-library-lite-rml.min.js?ver=4bf689644a491e64ef67807e1b57ef95:1:149425)
It’s like that on multiple sites I work on that has this specific plugin. Can you please fix that? Thanks!
There seems to be an incompatibility issue with this plugin and older versions of Advanced Custom Fields. Attempting to add a file to the File field type gives the following console error:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘mode’)
