Was able to get my installation to work with an app I previously developed; caveats however include the need to have the folder lowercase, a copy of build in the main app folder, and the inability to link the page directly (“Can’t add page” but upon reload and some tweaking around in my host’s file explorer it works somehow). Embed isn’t perfect but is functional: transparent input field is not as such, my text formatting is messed up in typescript, and any redirect breaks the site if there is any security on the recieving end (i.e. if you redirect to github); definitely would recommend in a pinch though, works as advertised.
Unsure how one would do live development outside of hosting oneself; my host has an integrated file explorer that I was able to upload and tweak files in, but I digress.

I discovered this plugin when it was just a few months old – there were challenges in getting it to work initially, but it turned out to be issues with my understanding of how to set it up – now it is an integral part of my website.

Works exactly as intended and helps a lot in combining old sites with new technique. Would pay for it if all compability issues of the future (wordpress <-> react) would be resolved by this plugin.

I just got mine up and running in about 30 minutes. You have to maintain the file structure — you can’t serve images from a relative URL since the canonical URL on WP will be different from your local build — but that’s fairly easy to fix. If you need to upload the SVG file from the example, try CloudConvert SVG to PNG and then upload your file to WP Media Library, then replace the relative URL in the example with the absolute URL from the image in your Media Library.

I was just trying to develop some of the apps I’m developing with WordPress with React. In order to take advantage of the features of other plugins, I thought it was necessary to output header.php and footer.php using PHP + DB and make the main component React.
This plugin was very useful as it simply enforced this requirement.
There aren’t many developers who can master this, so I think it’s difficult to increase the number of installations, but it’s a very useful tool, so I hope you continue to maintain it.
Thank you
