We are exporting products as .csv or .xlsx using a customer developed plug-in. When exported, the files contain replaced HTML code rather than the required characters. For example, ” – ” becomes code for an em-dash in the file. Do you think we could use this plug-in to prevent WordPress from performing these character replacements on export?

Just reporting that when the plugin is activated, autop adds extra paragraph blocks to the content which messes up with the blocks of block plugins such as Stackable and more.

Remaking this site and above the FB feed to the left is a <p></p> in the code messing up the layout. Want it level with the other parts on the site to the left.

I’m trying to get this to work in order to (1) define a PHP variable and (2) echo that variable with another PHP script into a chunk of text on a WooCommerce Single-Product page.

Here’s what I’m doing – I’ve put the following on the page via the Text/HTML editor:

When I update the product page, the two PHP lines … disappear! In the text editor, it shows:

I’m guessing one of two things are happening: either the Raw HTML plugin doesn’t allow PHP calls, or I’m setting it up wrong.

The PHP works – I’ve tried it on a standard HTML/PHP page, but it does not work on a WooCommerce product page.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I have a website that got hacked and I am rebuilding locally with a back up running WordPress 4.1.29 but every time I update to WordPress 5.4 it crashes because of Raw HTML. I bought the pro version of Raw HTML but am not able to remove the current version of Raw HTML because it is being used on the site. Would you please be able to help me with this? Either provide a Raw HTML that works on WordPress 5.4 or let me know how to switch from Raw HTML to Pro Raw HTML.

So, a while back, I reported and issue and Janis followed up on it, but I never closed the loop. I am still seeing similar errors. I would have updated the other ticket, but it is closed now. Here is an example of the error from today:

Here are Janis suggestions:

1. Make sure that the “Classic Editor” plugin is up to date. I’ve seen reports that older versions of this plugin had a bug that could cause similar fatal errors.
2. If the site is still running the Gutenberg plugin, try deactivating it. It’s no longer necessary in WP 5.2.
3. It sounds like this file could be out of date: /wp-admin/includes/post.php. Can you check if it contains a function named use_block_editor_for_post_type? If it doesn’t then the file probably didn’t get updated properly when installing WP 5.2. Try reinstalling WP 5.2.
4. Finally, there’s a small chance that it could be a caching issue. Try clearing the PHP opcode cache and/or restarting the web server.

1. Classic editor is up to date.
2. No Gutenburg
3. The /wp-admin/includes/post.php file is there and I don’t think it is out of date. The use_block_editor_for_post_type function is also there. WP has been updated a time or two since this first cropped up and the update replaces everything as I understand it.
4. The site uses wp super cache. It has been clear many times.

So it remains a mystery. I don’t like the error keeps recurring, but I am not sure what the consequence of the error even is. I have not run into it when edit as far as I am aware. Let me know if I should try anything else. I will try to be more responsive.

Is there a way to control the “Disable automatic paragraphs” via custom fields? I’m working on post creation via gravity forms and I can only add custom fields on it. Is there a custom field for this?

If not maybe just can we have a settings to enable the “Disable automatic paragraphs” by default site-wide? Then on individual pages/post we can manually uncheck it like what the plugin has now.

Thank you for your good work regarding this plugin.

After having installed the AMP Stories WordPress plugin (which is still experimental), the AMP Story I was editing fails while being validating, stating something like “[…] However, your site is configured to automatically accept sanitization of the offending markup.[…]”.

When disabling the Raw HTML plugin, the problem disappeared. When enabling back the plugin, the problem reappears.

I guess that this is due to an incompatibility between Raw HTML and the AMP Stories plugin. Could you take an eye on this and see whether this could be worked around in a future version, please?

Since updating raw-html to 1.6 and WordPress to 5.2, we are seeing some PHP fatal errors with raw-html referenced. I am the site developer so I did not experience the error directly, just saw it in the log. It has not been reported by a user, but I always take php errors seriously (at least in production ?? )

i am using strip_shortcodes function to display an excerpt but it does not remove the -raw- shortcode. it removes all shortcodes except raw. how can i make it remove raw as well? thanks

But WordPress is stripping out the <a> element.

What is the cause of this behavior, please? Better yet, what is the cure?

I’m using WP 5.1 with the Classic Editor and Genesis Framework Parallax Pro theme.

I’ve used the Raw HTML plugin (free version), but it’s not helping. I’d upgrade to the Pro, but it’s only guaranteed up to WP 4.8.9.

I’d prefer not to use a plugin at all.

First of all, many thanks for your plugin RAW HTML I have been using for several years.
But suddenly, with the version 5.0 of WP, it seems to no longer work properly.
In WP 5.0 in html edit mode, it seems for example that all my <br /> desappears.

I’d love to use this fantastic plugin (and buy the PRO version for easy switching between text/visual modes) but was wondering if the plugin adds any extra processing time or loads extra scripts for front-end users?

As you can see, I’m awfully worried about page load time and trying to keep my sites ultra-fast performance. I’m curious to know if the code-to-raw-tags processing was done in the editor/back-end or front-end. Would be great for other users if your answer to me was also on your FAQ.

Hi:
I have this problem on a WP test site and it also occurred in the demo for this plugin. We’re transitioning from a non-WP proprietary site to a WP site and we have 1000’s of articles that have to be imported. The import/conversion by the developers did not go too well, so I’ve been fixing it.

Some of the articles had “paragraphs” made with div tags, and the space between paragraphs was <div> </div> (the editor for the site did this automatically if creating within the site). The article imports to WP OK, but on saving it in the editor WP helpfully removes the   but leaves the now empty div wrapper. So there is no space between the paragraphs.

The plugin, with all the checkboxes chosen does not prevent this from happening, but wrapping the tags within [raw] does work. But I thought it would work just with the boxes checked. What’s going on? What filter in WP is doing this and WHY????

Your plugin filters content of posts and pages directly and not through standardized usage of add_shortcode. It means it can’t work in other areas of WP. For example, this plugin’s special widget supports shortcodes, but only if they’re standard.

Using add_shortcode will probably also increase the likelihood of continued support in future WP versions.

So is there any chance you’ll do it? ??

I’m building a custom tab box for a client site and I’m using your plugin to help keep the HTML in place. I’ve noticed however that some markup still gets purged.

Note sure why but my theme makes similar changes to my styling. Anything in “” goes as a quote. Can this be resolved with this plugin?
