because then all the text widgets become vessels for random images and not just the ones with your random image.

I like this plugin, but there is something missing. I have lots of JPG images, but also some PDF & PNG files in my media library. I certainly don’t want the PDF files to show up with the random images. My header images are PNG and it shows them along with the JPGs which I don’t like. My wish would be that you could specify what types of files to display or what types of files to exclude. Give us that capability and I’ll bump it to 5 stars.
UPDATE Feb 6, 2014: Today I find the plugin is not working at all. It worked fine, but recently 2 things happened. There was an update to the Plugin and today my server was upgraded to PHP 5.4 and PHP 5.2 was discontinued. I’m not sure which update caused the plugin to break for me, but I’m suspecting it is the PHP upgrade.

So far this is one of the best Random image plugins I have fond that works easily right out of the box.
I only gave 4 stars as I felt the plugin is not yet complete, it can be improved further to allow for better random image selections, for example only show images from a certain folder. If it could do that it would be a 5 star solution.
Cheers and thanks for the plugin, I will look forward to the update with a folder selection being added to it soon. Then I will update my review to be 5 stars ??

I installed this and saw NOTHING in the dashboard. Documentation is poor. For example, just where does one put the images? Who knows!

Disclaimer: I’m posting this review even though I’m the plugin author.
I wanted to address the 2-star review to say that I updated the plugin to add a title attribute for links as well as a new, optional parameter to let you link to the image file directly instead of attachment pages if you’d like.

image isn’t link to file and title (and alt) of image is missing.
