The first time when I create a qr code for a specific post or page it works. When I delete the qrcode and create another one for the same page or post it doesn’t create a link, it doesn’t work

When the editor is iframed, Qyrr (or at least the Pro version) seems to fail to load when a single QR post is being edited. I believe this is because a script in the editor iframe is trying to locate a metabox with the ID of qr-code-container, which is outside of the iframe.

Due to that, document.getElementById("qr-code-container").firstElementChild.firstElementChild fails and brings the whole editor experience with it.

The situation can be somewhat rectified by enabling “Custom Fields” in the Gutenberg editor settings, because that forces Gutenberg to not render inside of the iframe. However a proper solution should be implemented on the side of the Qyrr plugin.

This is more of a bugreport than a support request, but I’m posting it publicly to perhaps help others who will face the same issue.

Hi there!

WP users with a lower permission (subscriber, contributor) can′t edit the QR-Code posts or don′t see the the QR-Code edit options on the right.

I found out that when I give the user role the permission ‘manage_options’ then all settings are visable, but I don′t prefer this way.

Is there a chance to reduce the permission right from ‘manage_options’ to ‘edit_posts’ ?

Hey there, I am using the free plugin and created the first QR code and it worked great. I have my qr codes displayed here:

The QR code for Abundance Free Gift works great but the 2nd one for Breathe the World Awake is not working. On both of them I used the External URL optin.
Then in the backend with the list of QR codes only one has a download option: https://claritybreathwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/QR-Code-Admin.jpg
Does the free version of the plugin only let you create 1 QR code?

The link is actually to a QR Code PNG. I seem to be having a problem with some of the QR codes not being readable by my phone. Others, however work great.

LOVE the plugin. It’s exactly what I was looking for.

I have the Pro version of the plugin Qyrr. I need to create the QR codes via REST API, which works. In the backend the QR codes show up in the list. But then you have to edit each QR code individually, reset the template (which is offered directly) and save the post. Before that, the code is not “created” and the image (PNG) is also created only then.

Is there a way to do this automatically?

As the subject suggests, the preview URL in the QR code list is broken. The URL is missing some slashes:

I created a QR code linked with an article in my wordpress site.
Unfortunately, I can’t read this QR code with my smartphone.
If I display html code generated with the QR code and activate it, the answer is : “page not found”.
I go back in QYRR and If I select add a QR code I have a message displayed but so quickly that I can’t read it and there is no place in this software where I can read message and I can create a QR code ….
So, impossible to do something.
Anybody to help me ? Thank you very much for your help.

We loved the prior version of QYRR. Then, version 1.0 and 1.1 force Gutenberg and then throw an error: “The content of your post doesn’t match the template assigned to your post type.”

We don’t use Gutenberg.

We downgraded to 0.8 and are hoping you will create a setting allow those of us using Classic Editor for as long as possible to use this plugin. TIA!

Unfortunately, in my case, the shortcode doesn’t create any qr code image. Please check the next screenshots:

• Shortcode in the back-end
• Empty on the front-end

I tried the things below to solve, but nothing works.

• WordPress: 5.8 and 5.9
• Theme: Divi, Twenty-twenty-one, Twenty-twenty
• Builder: Divi, Gutenberg
• PHP: 7.4 and 8.0
• Server: Webhost, localhost

How could I track code usage?

I want to build a WP site that allows customers to upload mp3 file to be turned into a QR code and sent to a print on demand site. Is this possible with QYRR code?

I’m testing the plugin. If I change the destination URL the image changes too. Dynamic QRs keep the same image prevoiusly generated if you change the URL.

Now I see the URL of the page, but I would love to be able to change the title manually.

Qyrr-Code Plugin is not working.
After installation and deployment it does not appear in the shortcode, the qrcode location is blank.

After several trials, i was able to make it work without the logo insertion part. I am using wordpress ver 5.8. Is there anything special settings or instructions that need to be made to make the logo insertion in the qr code work? Please let me know. I really like this plugin and want to use it. Also for some reason, even when i link the qr code to the campaign, the qr code does not show up as in your screenshots? What am I doing wrong?

Doesn’t work. No image is being generated.
Also no errors in the logs.
