Great tool that helps you quickly find out whether and which plugins could be affected by a data leak if you have numerous attacks on WordPress (e.g. on wp-admin). You can then replace all plugin folders with the original plugin files via FTP, done. Very good job, thank you!

It cleaned the malware on my website before it executed and gave me issues. top-notch product.

I wasnt expecting anything from this plugin but it has saved my lots of time and money. First I removed some critical files by wordfence and tried almost all malware scanners but non of the scanners could detect the infected files, infact wordfence was showing no threat but my site was displaying the japanese letters snippet on google and had 62000 links indexed on google console. I would say Malcare did a good job in scanning the malware but it doesnt show any files because of paid service. After running this scanner it showed me some malicious files and I removed them from the control panel by myself. Book malware was disappeared scanner didnt showed site is hacked. Thanks alot guys

Only tells you that it is paid once it has supposedly detected infectoin. This can’t be trusted when the vendor is motivated to detect false positives.

Отличный плагин! Теперь я могу спать спокойно. Поддержка ответила очень быстро и даже просмотрела мои подозрительные файлы вручную!

The Only thing is that one has to sort out and whitelist quite a lot. One remark to the review before this one: Probably Quttera is not prepared for a XXAMP-server. The problems might be caused by the different file systems on Windows.

This security plugin is a complete fraud.
Once installed on my website and performed a high sensitivity test it found no less than 5 MALICIOUS FILES, 8 POTENTIALLY SUSPICIOUS FILES AND THE WORST 1381 SUSPICIOUS FILES!!!!
Suspecting that this was not true, I proceeded to perform the following test.
On a computer with a freshly installed copy of the original W10, all the updates done, an updated antivirus and without any virus detection, I installed a local copy of the latest version of WordPress in XAMPP.
I named this local version of WordPress Quttera in honor of these gentlemen.
I installed only the Quttera plugin and performed a high-sensitivity scan on this completely new installation of wordpress and then found:
3 MALICIOUS FILES and 8 POTENTIALLY SUSPICIOUS FILES !!!!
Funny, isn’t it?
I proceeded to install the Elementor plugin and then changed the report to:
3 MALICIOUS ARCHIVES and 11 POTENTIALLY SUSPECTIVE ARCHIVES !!!!
I proceeded to perform a third test.I installed the plugin Duplicator by Snap Creek and RANK MATH SEO this time the report was:
5 MALICIOUS AND 11 POTENTIALLY SUSPICIOUS FILES !!!!
These results appear in a clean WordPress installation, with no post, image, or page created, nothing!
I am completely convinced that this plugin is a scam.
Quttera’s owners scare you with false positives and countless suspicious files with the sole aim of making you pay for disinfecting something that is not infected and fattening Quttera’s wallet.
I hope this test will save users the time lost trying to clean something from viruses that is definitely not infected.
Wordpress should remove this plugin from its list

I’d like to thank the Quttera team to fix our malware issues that other great security plugins doesn’t detect.
The premium price is worth every penny.
You don’t deserve to get 1 star rating.
Highly recommended so thank you very much!!

It see malware, but not removes until you pay. waste of time and scam like malware.

Quttera is best plugin ever I had used, it scans whole files and if infected it shows the exact path as well showing in Red color that code snippet which is infectious code, there are some extra false positives as well but after rechecking and confirming we can leave that parts as well but from all free Scan Plugins, this Plugin is best ever I have used so far, I am using it from last year and it has helped me a lot to recover many of clients websites.

Sorry to say it, but I have tried many security scanners, and this gives so many false positive, even when the log file is empty. this gives so much headache, please fix it, and give real results, you make people work for nothing.

I found many infections with this plugin and it has helped me remove them many times!

What an awesome plugin, finds malware and assist’s in removing them. Highly recommended!
Donated, thanks for making this free!

It detects the malware other plugins like wordfence and sucuri couldn’t. Problem solved.
p.s. I still recommend using wordfence or any other security plugin but for scanning, quttera is a better one.

I left this review to warn others I just carried out a thorough analysis of this plugin on a FRESH vanilla wordpress install. Next I systematically downloaded plugins from the wordpress repository (which have no known threats). Yet time and again, Quttera found scores of suspicious files. Finally after carefully testing all day I know I will not be needing this plugin. Quttera uses a very crude heuristic for identifying potential malicious code and as consequence hardly helps to narrow any problems down. Its greatest strength is that it finds all files which contain any possible malicious code, yet that it does this so well that 100% so far have been false positives. I can see its use if one wanted to check each and every file which could possibly have an issue, yet a scenario where that is realistic is very small.
I also checked other scanning plugins like GOTMLS, SUCURI and WORDFENCE. Even these showed false positives (oh except for Sucuri), but the number of false positives was 1% compared to Quttera.
Its not a “bad” plugin, but I cannot figure out who might want that crude functionality, except for someone who wants to read all their millions of lines of suspicious code. This plugin should compare to files in the wordpress repository at least to filter out the false positives.
Hope this saved others time! ??

Helped me alot after one of the websites got hacked in order to find infected files.

When scannig my wordpress-installation I was advised that due to high sensitivity the scan may also detect false positives. Interestingly enough, all files appear to be suspocious, for example wp-admin/widgets.php is considered an unknown file in the core directory. The files in the core directory of my site and in the latest wordpress verion I downloaded just now are 100% identical and in the identical location of both the downloaded WP-Package and my installation. Sorry, but in these cases the plugin should recognize the core files and not flag them. Other tools are way better here, although they costs someting.

Just block your website after scan. Reviewed like one of the most powerful anti-malware…well it has a lot of power…but to stuck your website for endless minutes…
Do yourself a favor and do not perform INTERNAL SCAN

It works perfectly well.

It’s stuck after I scan. I removed it via cPanel. Now I cannot access my website. Have to ask for the web hosing to help.

Keep up the good work!

this plugin found bad stuff from a decade ago, how embarrassing is that?
ok lets not shoot the messenger – Quttera is outstanding, and its backed with an excellent team.

I appreciate updates, it seems like these are every second day and it is a PITA having to go to the site to complete the updates. Can these be reduced to once a week or twice a month like all other plugins?

We had sites pulled offline due to malware, and needed something that could work internally to detect malicious code. This plugin made that easy work. Awesome
]]>Rating: 5 stars
Thanks a lot for this plugin!!!
Effective, fast and very useful.

Scan does not tell you what files are infected. I showed one “suspicious” file, and of course I needed to pay to have that “cleaned”. Internal scan would not work. Kept getting WordPress timeout. Would almost finish, then quite.

My new host recommended this plug-in and I am a bit embarrassed that I’ve only recently discovered it. Now that I understand its capabilities it is the first plug-in I install on any new site. I suggest to any www.remarpro.com site owner to install it as soon as possible. It is a free and it’s useful to identify what is wrong with your website.
After scanning my website, it has immediately notified me that I have couple pages with malicious code (of course, I didn’t know about that). I removed the malicious code and scanned again my site with Quttera Web Malware Scanner plug-in and now my site is clean.
Thank You Quttera!

Your description page says “It will help you to identify malicious code injection, malicious code obfuscation, auto-generated malicious web content, JavaScript code obfuscation, exploits and much more”. That is a misleading statement. Because the plugin does not help do anything more than lead me to your website where you require me to sign up to view a report.
Your installation instructions say:
“
1. Download the plugin.
2. Go to the WordPress Plugin menu and activate it.
3. That’s it! “
That isn’t it. You require me to sign up on your site to view a “report”.
This is nothing but a baiting plugin. You scan the site, then give a report (questionable), that possibly there is a suspicious file. To review the “report” I click on the link and it goes to your website where I am required to join to view what the report says. This is too scammy for me.
I would NOT recommend this plugin. It does not provide any usable information unless you PAY for it or sign up to your website (I won’t join to find out now). That does not constitute a free plugin. It constitutes a scam (IMHO). If you are trying to sell your service, be up front about it and tell people the plugin does nothing useful unless they pay you. Don’t mislead people in your description to get them to run your scan and then require them to sign up to your site.
Furthermore, I just went in and use Sucuri scanner and all was good. Your scan said there was a suspicious file. What’s really going on here?

It does not do anything. I ran it and found nothing. There is a spam injector I am trying to remove.

My website was blacklited by google. I tried to verify the reason why it was blacklited. I installed this plugin, scanned my web site and it gave me a list of all infected pages.
Thank you a lot!
