any suggestions?
]]>Hi!
For quite some time I used the Quiz Tool Lite on my website. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work anymore. It lost all the questions (got a back-up) and doesn’t let me make any new quizes or questions.
I noticed a notification that the latest version (Current: 2.3.15) wasn’t tested with my latest WP-install (Current: 5.7.1). Is it not supported or patched anymore? I saw the latest update was over a year ago.
Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!
Is there a way of exporting all the answers given to a quiz to csv, so if 3000 people take the quiz the data would be easier to manage. That would be much better than looking at each persons individual answers.

This message is regarding your quiz lite tool plugin. I am using that plugin in my word press website. Its awesome plugin but it could be more better if it can show right answer as a message when someone choose wrong option.
I am using 50 questions separately into my blog post not as quiz test just only for reading. I selected shord-code of every single question and arranged together into a single post. Now I need only when someone click on the wrong answer. It should show a message like: ( a. Mango is the right answer ) I have shown an example below.
For example: this is a demo question and its answer is suppose c is the right answer.
Q. This is a Question?
a. mango
b. apple
c. banana
d. strawberry
Let suppose I click on b option.
then it should tell as a popup message
(* c. banana is the right answer * )
I hope you get it what I wan to say .
Please add this functionality into your plugin
I would be very happy.

Krishna Roy
Hi
Is there any way to insert images as Possible Answers?
I tried with HTML embed image, but it is not working.
Thank you
]]>Hi Alex.
My site is hosted at Siteground and I cannot use their “Dynamic Cache” (which will improve site performance) because one of the plugins installed is adding the following headers to the page:
cache-control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate
pragma: no-cache
I disabled the following plugins (armember, lenix-elementor-leads-addon, updraftplus, relevanssi, seo-by-rank-math) to test whether they were preventing caching, and it had no impact.
When I disabled Quiz Tool, the caching was restored. Can you please look into it and see whether this makes sense, or whether this is something that can be solved in Quiz Tool? I suspect this may also be the culprit interfering with the armember plugin.
Please let me know.
Kind regards,
Humberto
Hi Alex. Hope you are well and protected.
According to wordpress, Quiz Tool is causing two critical performance issues, namely:
(1) The REST API encountered an error.
The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.
The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received (http_request_failed)
(2) Site Cannot Complete a Loopback Request
Loopback requests are used to run scheduled events, and are also used by the built-in editors for themes and plugins to verify code stability.
The loopback request to your site failed, this means features relying on them are not currently working as expected.
Error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received (http_request_failed)
NOTE: When I deactivate the plugin, the error messages disappear.
Can you please look into that when you have a chance?
Hi Alex.
I created a multiple-choice quiz with 30 questions and the following features:
1) Quiz Format:
– Do not show question feedback
– 1 question per page
2) Completion Option
– Email (me) when the quiz has been taken.
To my surprise, after I tested it, I received 30 confirmation emails. I supposed it has something to do with the pagination. Can you look into it when you have a chance?
Regards,
Humberto
Hi Alex.
Hope all is well with you. I am unable to delete quiz pots. The “delete” link on this page is not working:
/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=ek_pot#
I also understand that if I delete a quiz pot, any quizzes that use only questions from that pot will also be deleted in cascade, right?
Can you look into it when you have a chance?
BW,
Humberto
Hi Alex,
Having added many question pots and hundreds of questions in each one, I’m facing a problem that may affect other users: Question management.
While testing the quizzes, I’ve found questions with misspelled words, or other problems like [blank] spelled as [bank] – or an extra space after the work “blank”.
It was a pain to find the question that needed an update. I had to enter each pot, view the questions, and then search for a specific word in the question. That proved time-consuming and frustrating because I had to check many pots multiple times.
Is it possible to use the search box on the upper right corner of this page (/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=ek_pot) to perform a global search in the pots for a specific term?
If you think this is the wrong place, what do you consider the most effective way to search all pots for a specific word (e.g. “Wimbledon”)?
That would make updating questions much easier and thus help improve quiz quality.
Regards,
Humberto
Hi Alex,
Now that the scoring issue for blank-filling and blank-filling + multiple choice is solved, we have the following side effect:
– The “multiple choice only” quiz report ignores users answers and presents results as 0%.
Also, you had implemented a featured that brought a visual hint in the report for the correct answer. That stopped working for some reason.
Can you look into that when you have a chance?
BW,
Humberto
Hi Alex,
When a user submits a Blank-Filling quiz unanswered, the quiz report shows all results as incorrect and hides the correct answers (which is the right decision). After all, the test taker has not even tried to answer any question. However, this pattern is broken in multi-blank questions.
Would you please add this to your “to do list” for a future update?
In quizzes submitted unanswered:
1. Hide correct answers for both single and multi-blank questions;
2. Hide question feedback for both single and multi-blank questions.
BW,
Humberto
Hi Alex.
Please check my feedback below about the May 26, 2020 update.
Scoring issue:
==============
For the blank-filling quizzes the issue remains unchanged. The final report ignores questions answered and the final score is 0%.
When the quiz includes both multiple choice and blank-filling questions, only the multiple choice questions are accounted for.
Unclosed boxes issue:
=====================
Partially fixed.
From the user perspective, all works wonderfully. Done!
From the admin perspective (/wp-admin/options.php?page=ek-user-attempt&attemptID=73), the situation looks quite different:
a) The first box covers the page title;
b) The first box does not show the question (only the answer);
c) The WP information (“Thank you for creating with WordPress. Version 5.4.1”), normally shown at the bottom of the page, is getting inserted in the first box;
d) The second box appears at It should;
e) The third box has a negative left margin and hides under the WP menu. All other boxes follow suit.
Please look into those issues when you have a chance.
Best regards,
Humberto
Hi Alex,
Hope all is well. As you can see, I follow in my quiz development and bug hunting saga.
In that spirit, I came across the following glitches.
(1) On-Screen “Blank-Filling Quiz” Report
———————————————-
Issue: Unanswered blanks appear onscreen as correct.
On the bright side, all answered blanks are presented correctly either as “correct” or “incorrect”.
(2) “Blank-Filling Quiz” Scoring Script
——————————————–
Issue: Score calculation ignores all answers and presents final quiz score as 0%.
Can you please look into it as soon as you have a chance? As this is not a cosmetic issue, such a glitch makes an otherwise perfect blank-filling quiz unusable.
Best regards,
Humberto
Can’t add an image to any of the questions, no matter if I try in preview mode or use img tag in the text mode. I get the following error:
Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access this resource.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
However, I can find the id in the database, add the img tag in the database cell and then it all works fine. I can open it, but it doesn’t saves if I make changes.
]]>Hi Alex.
I contacted the ARMember plugin support team about the loading issue and they answered that when “Quiz Tool Lite” is deactivated, ARMember member pages load as expected. In their view, “Quiz Tool Lite” is triggering the JavaScript file conflict with ARMember because “Quiz Tool Lite” may be adding JS/CSS to all the pages of the admin panel.
The fact is that when I deactivate QTL, their plugin works flawlessly.
Sorry to bother again, but can you look into it and let me know whether there’s any merit to their claim?
Kind regards,
Humberto
Hi Alex.
Good morning. When I edit a quiz (/wp-admin/post.php?post=10142&action=edit) (“Quiz Questions” tab /“Select the Questions for this quiz”/) all quiz choices are presented in order of creation date.
Once this page has no ordering or search controls, finding the right pot (when dozens exist) gets time-consuming. The choice a test developer needs will eventually be buried in a long list.
This problem could be solved by pre-sorting the “Select the Questions for this quiz” choices alphabetically. That would make the user experience much smoother.
Regards,
Humberto
Hi Alex. Hope all is well.
The multiple-choice quiz result report has a flawless layout. Unlike it, the “Blank-Filling Quiz result report” presents the first answer in box (as it is supposed to), and displays each consecutive answer in a box inside the previous box. This creates an unintended visual effect that is odd and squeezes the content in a stifling recurrence.
Visual reference:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/7pdjspzg44ao0uw/recurring%20box-in-a-box%20design.png?dl=0
For test creators who plan to have quizzes with more than 10 questions, the box-in-a-box effect will lead to a visual dizziness – and other issues.
Please use the multiple choice (single answer) report style as a reference. Each answer is included in an individual box with rounded corners. That is a balanced and neat visual choice.
Best regards,
Humberto
[Version 3.01] Thought the quiz alternatives have received a modern “dot” visual, in the quiz result report the original (unformatted) radio bullets are still visible, thus cluttering the excellent report design.
]]>[Version 3.01]
1- The date/time listed in the Quiz reports is not based on the WordPress Date Format defined in the settings by the administrator.
2 – Minimum time between quiz attempts.
The report to the quiz takers shows time to next quiz in a weird format: “Minutes/ hours/ days”. The expected order should be “Days / hours/ minutes”.
[Version 3.01] Participant does not receive email confirming quiz results.
]]>[Version 3.0.1] – Hyphens in email subject line shown as “–”
This happens when the original quiz name includes a hyphen.
[Version 3.0.1] – Typo in subject line for email message confirming a quiz has been taken.
Subject line: A new participant has “takken” the quiz.
Hi Alex.
I use “ARMember – Complete Membership Plugin” to control user access to my site.
When I enable “Quiz Tool V3.01” it prevents ARMember from
1) Managing Users
2) Managing Plans
3) Managing Private messages to Users
The practical effect is that when I click on the side WP menu “ARMember>Manager Users” the ARMember plugin attempts to load the users page, but all I can see is an endless loading animation. The actual user page is never loaded.
When I deactivate “Quiz Tool V3.01” everything goes back to normal.
Questions:
a) Are you aware of any clashes with the ARMember plugin.
b) Can you look into it?
This is a critical issue for me because I can only use the Quiz Tool if I can manage user access to the site.
I added the plugin documentation link for your referemce:
https://www.armemberplugin.com/documentation/
If you need other information, please let me know.
Kind regards,
Humberto
Hi Alex. Thanks for your help.
After installing the latest update, I got an error warning from wordpress and the following message.

Hi Guys.
Here’s how I’ve been using QuizTool Lite, and a few questions.
I’m an English teacher and use the quizzes to offer my students a chance to map their strengths and points for improvement per level.
So, I created 6 pots (1= beginner; 2= Pre-Intermediate; and so on) and around 100 questions for each pot.
Then I created 6 quizzes (one for each language proficiency level (1= beginner; 2= Pre-Intermediate; and so on) with 10 questions in per quiz. I assumed that every time a student starts quiz 1 (for instance), QuizTool will pick “randomly” 10 questions in pot 1, out of 100 possible questions. This way, every time the same student takes “Quiz 1” a fresh quiz will be presented.
Without further ado, here are my questions:
———————————————————–
1) Is there a question limit per pot?
In my scenario, the more questions I have per pot, the higher the quiz originality.
2) If there’s no question limit per pot, is there any plan to add “pagination” on the “Add/ edit questions” page? (https://xxx.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ai-quiz-question-list&potID=2)
3) When I create new questions, the interface allows me to create response options and leave the correct answer unchecked. Obviously, I would not do that on purpose.
That said, how can I check whether there are unchecked correct answers?
(Suggestion: A temporary – and relatively simple solution – would be to add on the questions page (https://xxx.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ai-quiz-question-list&potID=2) a column named “answer”. It could include a checkmark when answers exist (or a reverse logic). It would offer question creators a visual hint for quiz consistency while the question interface does not make it impossible to save questions with unchecked answers.

Unrelated: If you need any help to expand the Help section, I’ll be glad to roll up my sleeves. Just let me know.
On the Grade Boundaries page, after I have assigned grade boundaries to my tests, I get the following warning message:
“Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /home3/hmancuso/public_html/wp-content/plugins/quiz-tool-lite/admin/grade_boundaries.php on line 224”.
How can I solve this problem?
If it helps, these are the grade boundaries I have assigned for each test:
0-69
70-79
80-85
86-95
95-100
Please let me know whether you need further details. Thanks.
]]>I am using Quiz Tool Lite Version 2.3.14. Unfortunately, I encountered problems and none of my quiz are working. Though everything, including quiz is working perfectly on the localhost. I uploaded my website from local version to the production domain without making any changes. When I visit my domain, everything except quiz are working fine. When I enter the quiz page it shows only the button “Check Answer”. I use the True/False, and Fill the blank and others, every quiz shows only the “Check Answer” button.
Your assistance would be very much appreciated.
