Hello,
I have a website to cleanup from qtranslate with this plugin. However after cleaning it up to one language without using WPML I will lose SEO related links which all have en in the url.
The question is can I keep en url part in one language website with or without WPML, or will this plugin provide the redirect rules for .htaccess in cleanup process when not using WPML.
Thank you on advance.
Hi,
I Was importing content form qtranslate to wpml after few hours its struck and doesn’t continue from there.
Is there any process to continue.
If stuck in a catch 22:
I run qtranslate x in a subsite on a multisite (okay, should have removed it much earlier, I know). The frontend does work, but backend causes white screen. So I had to manually remove qtranslate x from the plugin-folder. Now the subsite is working again and backend could be entered, qtranslate-?wpml-importer could be installed but then on the importer settings you read this:
“Please save the qTranslate settings to the database first. Go to Languages Tab of Qtranslate settings Edit the languages that are active & enabled and update their names to something, save and revert back.”
Is there a way to bypass this requirement, as qtranslate x no longer works in the backend?
I see similar message, but I think that the plugin don’t read the relevante option
qtranslate_language_names instead of qtranslate_enabled_languages
// $language_names = get_option( 'qtranslate_language_names' );
$language_names = get_option( 'qtranslate_enabled_languages' );
if ( ! empty( $language_names ) ) {
$language_names = array_change_key_case( $language_names = array_map( 'strtolower', $language_names ), CASE_LOWER );
} else {
?>

<?php esc_html_e( 'Please save the qTranslate settings to the database first. Go to Languages Tab of Qtranslate settings Edit the languages that are active & enabled and update their names to something, save and revert back.', 'qt-import' ) ?>
<?php
return;
}

In line 69 of plugin.php you must replace:
wp_enqueue_script( 'qtimport', plugins_url( basename( dirname( __FILE__ ) ) ) . '/js/scripts.js');
with
wp_enqueue_script( 'qtimport', plugins_url( basename( dirname( __FILE__ ) ) ) . '/js/scripts.js' ,array('jquery'));
Enjoy!

Good evening.
I tried this plugin on a local installation.
Once the plugin has run, the site looks empty. It seems that it’s still looking for qTranslateX plugin, ignoring all the work that has been done by the importer.
In add, I believe that all my products are ignored… is that possible?
Thanks

Any ideas or explanations?

Hello,
I suppose this plugin only works for qtranslate-X not for qtranslate, does it?
WPML mentions at https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/qtranslate-importer/#with-wpml that this plugin despite continuous development is not working properly. So what does that mean? That it partly works? That you should not use this plugin at all? What should end users do?
Update Seems to be an issue with single language translation importing without WPML.
“Please make sure you have WPML active and head down to the Multi-Language Conversion (convert from qTranslate to WPML) section.”The best way to do this conversion is to disable qTranslate, enable WPML and the qTranslate Importer and let it do everything automatically.
I use qtranslate XT for my bilingual wordpress page and have now chosen a theme which works with a page builder. It is not compatible with qtranslateX, i.e. the site is functional now but I cannot change the layout with the themebuilder without destroying the posts or pages.
It seems I have to use WPML. Therefore, I could use this plugin – but only if I knew whether it also works, or works at all, with qtranslate XT. If not, is there a workaround I can use?
Best regards,
Claudia
Hi. The plugin is activated but There is nothing, only “Please save the qTranslate settings to the datbase first.” Please could you help me. Kind regards Magdalena

Save all qTranslate settings
Go to the Plugins admin page and de-activate qTranslate X

Install & activate QT Importer
Go to Options -> QT Importer and click Start

Hello, thank you for your answer in advance!
So I have a website with qtranslate and qtranslate META plugins, and I want to switch to WPML. I have a WPML plugin, working on another site, so I am familiar with it.
qTranslate is great, but obsolete for a long time now, and messing up with my post/page editor and some other functions on my website.
My website with qtranslate ranks very high, first page/first position for most of the main keywords.
You are talking about new URLs, how will this change my URLs?
WPML also uses en/de/ru tags for languages, how will my URLs change??
When activating this plugin I only saw one language instead of two. When activating DEBUG I get the following php warning:
Notice: Undefined index: nl in /wp-content/plugins/qtranslate-to-wpml-export/plugin.php on line 432
It seems that Dutch is not available?
Hi,
I would have to uninstall and clean the database, I read that the “QTRANSLATE X UNINSTALL AND CLEANUP MODE” was not working. Is it working now? I just want to uninstall the qTranslate, not migrate the languages to WPLM.
Thanks!
Leslie
Hi.
I’ve successfully cleaned qtranslate X tags on my site.
However, I imported other pages which used qtranslate X too.
I can’t clean again the tags because this plugin tells me “The clean up script has already run.”
How do I allow this plugin to clean qtranslate X tags another time?
When I start the process it says “Working” but nothing happens even after half an hour. Seems to be broken with the current WP version.
Hi:
We are using this plugin to export our data from qtransalte to WPML.
Unfortunately after the import process completes, we have blank/ missing permalink for all custom post types(Screenshot: https://prntscr.com/8qfdb6). Permalinks are fine for the normal posts/pages.
We are using WordPress version – 4.1.5 and Plugin version – 1.5
Please help me to fix this issue.

Hi,
I have Qtraslate but it was not working with WP 3.9 so I am using MQTraslate but I am not satisfied so I would like to move to WPML.
I saw that there is a plugin “QTranslate importer” that helps to move from Qtraslate to WPML, my question is:
Should I have to go back from MQTraslete to Qtraslate first and then to WPML? or Can I move directly from MQTraslate to WPML directly with that plugin?
THank you

I disabled qTranslate, enabled this plugin and WPML as instruction says.
Then when I clicked on “Start” button, “Working…” message is displayed next to the button and nothing happened even I waited for the whole night.
My website is showing nothing, it’s just a white screen.
Is there any way that I can solve this issue?

Used this plugin to uninstall qtranslate. Everything worked fine, except that all pages now doubled. It simply repeating the English content 2 times. All pages look like this post now. Only pages, posts are not effected. If someone have several pages it is a nightmare to fix.
I had 2 languages English + Chinese and I kept English. Actually I didn’t have any content translated yet, instead I had the setting in qtranslate to display the default language if translation is not available. perhaps this has something to do with the duplication effort. I still have all qtranslate settings as screenshots if you are interested.

The current version (0.2.4) don’t play nice with swedish, since swedish is wrongfully called “se” in qTranslate.
