Hello everyone,
I’m testing protect login for my site. If I activate the mails I receive the following mails:
Subject: [Vegisto – vegan & lecker] zu viele gescheiterte Anmeldeversuche.
Neue Zugriffssperrung auf deiner Website:
: IP-Adresse: w.x.y.z
ausgesperrt seit: 10.02.2025 20:11
The subject doesn’t show the &, but & It should be:
Subject: [Vegisto – vegan & lecker] zu viele gescheiterte Anmeldeversuche.
-> Anybody a solution for the issue?
Perhaps it is a thunderbird problem and not an issue from Protect Login.
I disabled the notification, so the problem is “solved” for me ??
Thanks for the brilliant plugin and best regards
Gerhard (Vegisto)
Dear Simon,
I already noticed in version 1.4.2 that an error message appears when the login page /wp-admin/ is called up for the first time. The message still exists in the current version 1.4.3.
A successful login is not possible in every case!
“Too many failed login attempts. Please try again later.”

Can you please find out why this is the case and turn off the message. Some customers are irritated.
Thank you very much!
Michael
]]>Hey!
Today I noticed that with the update to 1.4.1 from the WP-admin suddenly a .github and .wordpress-org folder are added to the folder of the plugin.
Not sure why and I guess no need to deploy this files to all of the installs. Some disk space we can save.
Greetings

Hi Simon,
on one website (nginx server) there have just been a large number of failed login attempts from only two IPv4 addresses for around 20 minutes.
PLUGIN SETTINGS
Protection level: high
Notify if blocked: checked
Failed attempts until notification: 10
I wonder why only one of the two IPs was temporarily blocked. If I was actually notified after every 10 failed login attempts, there must have been around 250 failed attempts.
Do you have any idea what’s going on there?
All the best
Michael
Hi!
If there are no ip address numbers locked out the box is without any margin below the menu, which looks odd:

If there are ip address numbers and they are expired, they are still there (Screenshot from 11/7, but the block is only until 10/31).

Is this a feature to add them to the all time blocklist? Or a bug?
All the best

Dear Simon,
Dear Thomas,
first of all, thank you for taking the initiative to fork the plugin! Compared to “Limit Login Attempts Reloaded”, it makes a lean and clear impression without any frills.
Despite the limited number of active installations so far, I am currently testing the plugin because I know you Simon through the WP-Letter and have confidence that the plugin is good and will develop well.
The login worked but a website has thrown the following error by email when logging in via InfiniteWP. Maybe you have an idea what the cause could be.
