First off – this is not intended to be a wholly negative post. It’s clear that the plugin is EXCEPTIONALLY powerful… however, during testing of the plugin I came across three areas which IMHO should be addressed.
My hope was to speed up my workflow when creating property listing sites, as ATM we build from the ground up using ACF. However…
1) Clucky documentation … it takes a while to search the docs to find how to’s or why something is not working as expected. overall, on-site documentation in parts can be so sparse, we had to revert to Facebook groups or Reddit to find the answers we needed.
2) Page builder centric … We predominantly use either the Kadence or Blocksy Pro themes, alongside Guttenberg blocks including block plugins from Kadence, Stackable etc. But its seems to be able to create something truly unique (visually) you have to use either Divi, Elementor or Bricks. While we do have a Elemento Pro licence, we have not built a new site with it since 2022, and we’re actively pushing what remaining clients we have using Elementor over to Block-based designs, hopefully by the end of 2025. We could create our own theme and script our own dynamic blocks, but that defeats the point of switching to speed up our workflow.
3) Could not get Google maps API to work. I’m sure it’s a problem at our end, but we could not figure out what was going wrong, and searching the docs (point 1) became a PITA. It frustrates as we can connect using ACF or the Easy Property Listings plugin we’ve tested side by side.
Overall, we could live with point 1, most plugins/themes are poorly documented (Kadence)… but to not natively support blocks or even the WP code dynamic block is truly disheartening, for such a powerful feature rich plugin…
As it stands, we can recreate most of the features Hive offers with ACF/SCF and some customisations. But it take use approx 200 man hours…. This could have cut that down to 10 to 30 man hours.
Hopefully, Hive will address the lack of block support in the future. Or have a solution for using the dynamic block, that we have missed.

Very powerful plugin for creating real estate / property listing websites.
Works as a complete solution out the box but very customisable and endless dev docs on their site and resources on their github.
Our project was built using Elementor and the integration works great, giving us full creative freedom backed by the tools Property Hive includes. No other solution could have worked for our project, really good investment and we aren’t even utilising all the plugin has to offer!
Support has been nothing short of perfect, huge thank you to Steve & the team. Provided great solutions, helped with bug fixes and even sent code snippets over when my talent ran out.
I’ve never experience support as good before, and doubt I will again.

This plugin works so well. It was a breeze to set up and get running (took less than 1/2 a day to get everything set up just like I wanted). I’ve been using this solution for over 3 years. In that time, we’ve had one issue crop up which the development team worked quickly to resolve.

We’ve been using PropertyHive to migrate a website from Rex Software to Street. The overall developer experience was amazing. Lot of stuff that worked out of the box, and it’s quite easy to create your own custom functionalities by using the hooks.

Brilliant plugin that is consistently being developed. We recently built a site using Bricks Builder, and I recently reached out to PropertyHive to see if they would consider an integration, and they said yes! They built the integration and now we can built Property Pages directly through Bricks. The team have worked with us to fix bugs and add additional functionalties. Was introduced to Property Hive and was sceptical. I have used many new tools when building websites and many look good but fall along the way. Property Hive was simple to add and activate. This is one of the best-supported plugins I have ever used. I have contacted PropertyHive several times over the years and asked them how to do certain things such as custom import frequencies and having property carousels which are now included in the main plugin for everyone.
We even offered to pay for some development time, but they did the work, rolled out the updates to everyone, and didn’t charge us anything.

I run a web development agency and we have used other solutions previously when integrating estate agent feeds into WordPress. Having used these other solutions, it is clear that they do not compare with PropertyHive when it comes to the flexibility and customisability of the integration. I am yet to come up against a problem that cannot be solved with some custom code – something that is made very easy by the endless list of hooks and functions already built into PropertyHive.

There’s a few plugins on the market that offer similar functionality, but WP Property Hive really stood out to us, and haven’t failed to disappoint! It’s so easy to use and extend, and we haven’t found any limitations for customisation and compatibility. Property Hive is a good product with a particularly helpful and responsive developer. I also like the way Property Hive is geared towards the UK market.
There are a few omissions. But we’re hoping to use this a lot more in the forthcoming year as the COVID situation eases. We will pass further feedback directly to the developer as things progress.

Well what can i say…
Steve has been an absolute ‘hero’ on my property website.
The website required a lot of templates changes and coding snippets which I personally had no idea about. Steve not only recommended ways in which certain features could be achieved but went above and beyond to be on hand when required.
Most notably was a issue with the Dezrez api and properties not being imported due to a timeout issue on the server. Steve came back with numerous suggestions and finally a workaround which included splitting the api into three pricing structures. This turned out to work amazingly and I am so happy.
I would honestly recommend this plugin and support to anyone after a reluable, effective way to display your properties.

A massive thank you to the PropertyHive team. We needed a fast solution, guidance and help setting up a new Estate Agency website el pronto. In 25 years of spending ￡1k’s of pounds on websites the complication of how a data feed works and the smoke and mirrors that usually comes with a techie response I have been so impress with the simplicity of the data feed taken by PropertyHive via Alto into our own website. It really is just plug and play. A few minutes configuration and that’s it. When you see your database populating with your properties you may have to sit down and have a moment!!
I have nothing but praise for their support
and nothing seems too much trouble. The best thing is if you are willing to learn and read their fabulous knowledgebase all the answers are there.
Sadly only able to give 5* but deserves 11… believe me this plugin pays for itself 50 x overs. Highly recommended.
