I used the “Super Progressive Web Apps” plugin before, it worked.
Then I deactivated it and installed yours, becouse of a couple of advantages you offer.

I tested the site on an Android 11 phone with Chrome. Tried normal and incognito modes, deleted cookies, restarted phone… but nothing worked. The page loads once, then the loading bar runs again, but no message is shown.

I generated a debug file, but don’t know how to send you.
What can I do? Thanks!

Please add the ability to change the icon background for a pwa. Android defaults to a white background, but a square icon with a black background looks weird with a round white border. Thanks.

but “On element click” not working for me. I choose On Element Click and mentioned “.install-app” in the element field. Copy-paste “<button class=”install-app”>Install now</button>” on WordPress page. When I click on the button nothing happens.

I am getting these Lighthouse errors:

Web app manifest or service worker do not meet the installability requirements

No matching service worker detected. You may need to reload the page, or check that the scope of the service worker for the current page encloses the scope and start URL from the manifest.

Does not register a service worker that controls page and start_url

Any ideas?

Apparently it was an issue in the past, i don′t know if it has been sorted out.
Since the plugin description says it works to send push messages I installed it.
But…it doesn′t

After latest update we are getting no “add to home screen” notification. We use the on element click method.

Here is the error:

I have the problem that the Notification register button doesn‘t work. It appear but when I want to register the device it is loading infinitly and doesn‘t register.
Also I can‘t see the button on the iPad on iPadOS.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix that problems?

I know the “Offline Content” box allows me to specify a list of URLs to pre-cache, but I was wondering if it is possible to add a dynamic list of URLs?

I am thinking of the list of URLs currently linked from the home page, to make the home page more offline-ready.

I am testing this plugin for the first time and have found an issue.

In the configuration, I have tried designating each of the “Display mode” options, all of which save and appear in the pwp-manifest file just as expected.

However, when I “Add to Home Screen” and open the installed app, the UI always looks the same, like a normal browser (address bar at the top and navigation options across the bottom).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the PWA in a supported browser: https://dev.ansbachhometownherald.com/
2. Add to Home Screen
3. Go to the home screen and open the installed app

Expected behavior:
– This may change as I continue experimenting with the plugin, but it is currently set to full screen.

Actual behavior:
– Appears just like a browser.

I realize this is likely due to the iOS / Safari, but wanted to double-check…

Device used for testing:
– iPhone 12 Pro
– iOS 14.6
– Safari

However, when I try to “Add to Home Screen”, that value is not offered, but instead I get the value from the website’s title tag.

3. Note the name suggested by the browser

– The name offered would read “AHH.com”

Actual behavior:

I am testing this plugin for the first time and have found an issue in Firefox only (Safari and Chrome work fine, at least on a Mac).

When I try to enter multiple URLs in the Offline Content textarea, rather than the Enter key creating a new line, it just inserts a space between the URLs.
(Note that I am using the same version of Firefox to type this ticket, and the “Your message” textarea is creating new lines just fine.)

I have even tried copying and pasting multiple URLs on multiple lines from a text editor, and the new lines just get converted to a single line with spaces between.

I also do not see this feature working (the Offline Content URLs, even when I enter only 1, do NOT get cached for me).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the PWA in a supported browser: https://dev.ansbachhometownherald.com/
2. Add to Homescreen or not
3. Disconnect from Internet
4. Try to refresh the homepage
5. Click the “Emergency Phone Numbers” option from the main menu

Expected behavior:
– The homepage and “Emergency Phone Numbers” pages should be cached and should display, even while offline

Actual behavior:
– Both pages reflect the “Offline” page I have created and designated in the configuration

Note that this also means that when the app opens, on the homepage, the homepage is not even being cached by visiting that page…

Device used for testing:
– iPhone 12 Pro
– iOS 14.6
– Safari, Chrome and Firefox browsers, also “installed app”

Hi, I have a compatibility error with wp_optimize and I use elementor to build the webs.
In 2 websites the same error is repeated, one has the elementor hello theme and the other the Astra theme. What happens is that when I activate the minification in wp_optimize even if I deactivate html, JS and CSS, it no longer loads the script to download the app. I have tried to isolate the JS from PWA progressive without success. I don’t know if they can give me any solution.

All saves on mobile have the name “shortness” on multisite install!

But I have built TWA over pwa using pwabuilder. Now when a user install TWA, and visits site add to home screen still appear.
