I’m encountering an issue with duplicating products that have attributes configured. When I duplicate an existing product, the “save attributes” button remains grayed out and the attribute data does not function correctly.

• Details:
  • Issue:?Duplicated products lose proper attribute functionality—the “save attributes” button is disabled and attributes are not retained.
    • Workarounds:
      • Creating a new product page from scratch results in working attributes.
      • Duplicating a product and then deleting the existing attributes, followed by creating a fresh attribute group, resolves the issue.
  • Environment:
    • Plugins installed:
      • Product Variations Swatches for WooCommerce (Version 1.1.9 by VillaTheme)
      • WooCommerce Product Add-Ons (Version 7.5.0 by Woo)
  • Testing:?I have run WordPress troubleshooting mode with all other plugins and themes disabled (except WooCommerce and the two plugins above), yet the issue persists.

Could you please help investigate why duplicating products is causing attribute functionality to break?

I am writing this to seek some help with the plugin. I am currently using 1.0.1.9 and it had been working fine. Last week when I tried to upgrade to latest version, the swatches stopped appearing on the page. I use default display type as button and use the image profile.

On upgrating, the buttons stopped appearing as product variations on the product page. I rolled back the plugin and they started appearing again. But now the buttons do not blur for the out of stock variation. It displays like other in stock variations of the product.

Woocommerce: 9.7.1

i made a mistake. I changed the number of of attributes shown on Global Attributes page in backend / admin menu. Now it is not loading properly and i also cannot change back because “Screen Options” won’t roll down.

I tried deactivating and reinstalling the plugin but the settings remain.

Please help me reset the plugin settings to original.

After applying it, a message appears on my website:

When I uninstall your module, the issue disappears.

The swatches toggle between variagtion images ok on desktop – but looking on mobile, the images do not change at all? Pls advise.

In some variable product pages it does not show the price of the product after selecting the variations.
After testing I have realised that it only shows the price of the product if in some of the variations I indicate a discounted price, at that moment after selecting the variations it shows the price of the product and if it contains the discounted price it shows the normal price (crossed out) and the discounted price, if I remove the discounted price in some variation it does not show the price of the product.

For example the product iPhone 12 does not show the price because none of the variations contains a discounted price.

I am developing a site for a butcher shop.
For a product, I have 3 parent attributes (various meat preparation) and several child attributes (weight depending on the piece of meat chosen). When I select a child attribute (weight) the 2 unselected parent attributes disappear. Is it possible to keep them displayed?

adding attributes does nothing, no values, no saving

Hi everyone, the button design dropdown works well on desktop, although on mobile the button design is down on the layout so when i display the dropdown it goes out of the layout, thats why i want it to go up on mobile. Thank you

Does your plugin supports some kind of template system so we could override it in a child theme update-safe? The background is: we need some adjustments to the color fields and would add more content. That’s usually pretty easy to do. But changing the core is obviously not the best practice. Now we are looking for a plugin that can be changed update-safe via the child theme.

Imagine you have 3 variants:
Size: M, Color: Blue
Size: M, Color: Green
Size: S, Color: Green

User clicks “S” – he now sees “S” rounded and “Blue” crossed.

Problem: There is no way to change selection to “Blue” any more. It becomes unavailable until user resets the whole selection and starts from the beginning. (And yes – I know what to do, but user is not clever enough…)

I want to achieve this: User clicks on crossed “Blue” and this forces “Blue” selection. Another conflicting attributes are reset and become available for user to select. (So user now sees “M” and “S” both unselected.)

Any way to get this? Any ideas?

I discovered, that when selecting a variation for some products, a backend call ‘?wc-ajax=get_variation’ is done, while for others, nothing like this happens.

The only difference I can see is that the products, where this call is executed, have lots of variations, while the others don’t.

What are the rules which define when such a call is made?

I’d like to avoid these calls all together, because they are ‘expensive’.

Hi,

we recently implemented a CDN on our site and I found out, that when selecting different variations, the underlying JS loads the file from the original server URL (which usually is the right approach).

But with a CDN in place (which simply uses a different server name with the same resource path) this completely bypasses the CDN (unless you use a proxy CDN which we decided against).

Is there a way to configure / hook into the code to replace the standard server name with a different one, so that the original URL

https://www.mynormalserver.com/path/to/image

can be modified to

https://this.is.my.cdn.com/path/to/image

?

This would be very important for us (and I suppose for thousands of other users, too).

The plugin works very well – but I started to have a problem because I can’t add an Attribute. When I add it, it doesn’t appear in the list at all after saving the changes.

Attributes added some time ago are visible, but I can’t add values to them – it looks as if the “add” button doesn’t work.

I had to disable this plugin for a while, if the problem is solved, I’ll be happy to enable it again ??

I have 3 fields: coating, type of coating, and color. my problem is that I would like the color field not to show all the total colors but only the colors of the second field (type of coating) as I can do.

The plugin displays all the features of the product. Choosing a certain feature (color) does not disable the features that do not exist for this color (dimensions that do not exist for this feature)

The sorting order of variations from the Woocommerce product card does not affect the order of button output in any way. I would like to be able to change the order of the buttons output.

as soon as more than 200 product variations are available, the display no longer works correctly. Product variation is not grayed out, when selecting unavailable variants, the message appear “Sorry, no products match your selection. Please choose a different combination.” Everything works correctly for product variations under 200.
